    A great night
Good for you, Diva, and you're right, the vibe the dancer projects makes a huge difference and when everything is going right the energy feeds upon itself. As for me, well, it has been some months since I've indulged, but I'll be travelling for Easter break and will try to make time for some clubbing stops, so I'll see if I have good or great nights.

New and Definitely NOT Improved Listing Format for Club Reviews
Sounds like the redesign is something of a work in progress and that part of the issue is to format it for cross-platform use. But good heavens -- sort order options (by date, by number of reviews, by rating, by sub-rating) should be a basic feature in a review page. Or else the city page should explicitly tell us WHAT is the order shown.

    Signs in the club
Hheheh... once I had to sit for a while nursing a drink before leaving a club (FI2, OK City) because the stripper that did the BJ-through-the-pants thing got a bit too licky and it looked like I had enjoyed it far more than I actually did! No more light grey pants at the club. @seaboardrr: "Her pulling you dick out and putting it in her mouth is the ONLY true sign she wants your dick in her mouth." And in this sort of circumstances, she wants it there because it means more money for her.

    Burnout ?
Yes, Papi, it happens. Not just with this but with just about every area of interest/activity in my life I've seen interest peak and wane, spend some time as an "avid enthusiast" and then scale down to "casually interested", going on "binges" then being away from it for a while and being able to take it or leave it. It may be burnout or as said it may be sometimes one just reaches a "plateau" one needs to clear his head and be able to go back "fresh". Besides like someone posted earlier, think of the money we save while going through a slow stretch!

    Rejecting a dancer
I try to be polite but frank in saying "no thanks". Why try to concoct some sort of justification? I can just choose no. I could suggest to the club some sort of sign like the flipover red/green coasters they use at some restaurants to signal servers (I can just hear it: "Oh, so you see me as a cut of meat?").

    Miami Gardens 2AMer
For reference: The Mint is around the center of Miami Gardens on a side street off one of the main avenues into Sun Life Stadium. Tootsie's is almost as far as one can be from there and still be within town limits, in fact the parking lot fence IS at the town line, in a commercial/industrial zone that beyond the line into unincorporated MIA-Dade County territory includes The Office and KOD. ranukam's St. Thomas campus is closer to the border with Opa-Locka. That part of the county is never goint to be in the Condé Nast travel guide to SoFla. Then again that's why you can find strip clubs there. BTW, Miami Gardens, for those not paying attention, had their police chief busted for mongering last week at the next county over (warning, autoplay vid/audio): http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/fl-miami-gardens-chief-arrest-video-20150305-story.html

Speaking of cell phones in the Strip Club ...
I've used it to take down dancer numbers for OTC potential, a couple times. But once while the mobile was in my pocket at the club there was a butt-dial to my best friend (and I'm not sure exactly WHOSE butt did the dialing). It went to voicemail and as he later reported "it was not clear exactly WHAT was going on, you were obviously in a noisy environment and there was some sort of repetitive thumping on the mic". Good thing it was him... obviously the damned thing got a lock code that same night...

Also be aware: Tootsie's/Dean's/Scarlett's/Cheetah are clustered along the border of Dade and Broward counties to the north end of Miami, so depending on where on MIABeach you are, transport logistics may be a factor (Tootsie's has an actual taxi stand in their lot). Our PL Jedi Papi_C. and Dolfan have already provided a very good quick overview of what to expect at the various locations.

    Crackdown on COI Clubs?
As to newspaper coverage: COI is a very small bit of LA County; a raid would go in an inside page with the general police blotter unless something else happens (they seize two k's of high grade coke, a Christian Coalition candidate was in the audience, someone got run over by the paddywagon). It's mostly off the radar of the media. COI has never been much of a town, with a tiny population, incorporated as its name implies mostly to fence off some turf for some industrial companies away from the county's or nearby cities' taxing and zoning authority. That in turn led to tolerance of the SCs for a long time. But these days it's a dying municipality unless they find something else other than SCs to flourish there.

I thought women enjoyed talking ?
As was mentioned, about half the respondents in the thread are saying "if you don't want to talk send him my way" or "give him 2 or 3 songs' worth before asking for a decision"; so it does seem like the opinion is divided. I blame the changing in the economics of the business, it gets more cutthroat and the entertainers have to make a harder sell.

    What about Ukrainian girls?
Ritalin = medication for hyperactivity/ADD. In the Speed family. Problem with getting a Ukrainian girl is that out of nowhere a Russian guy will show up to claim with a straight face that she was with him all along and ask what are you gonna do about it... ;) (seriously, I wonder how's the environment at NYC strip club dressing rooms between the Russian gals and those from the rest of the former Bloc these days...)

So, not anyone's candidate for Mr. Sound Decisionmaker, it seems he was fated to eventually stumble again. Like others said, unless you were a really huge star and smart investor who even after retirement can still provide high-maintenance sugardaddying and/or opportunities to see and be seen for access and contacts, the groupies dry out fast. And even if you just prefer to go to the pros for the "pay to leave" factor, then fer cryin' out loud pay the rate and don't physically shove them out. ...and yes, this kind of "fun" during this sort of event is a risky call if you are in any sort of public-eye line of work, due to the heightened level of LE scrutiny. If in that status, better to skip this activity during this event.

Michael Moore- asshole of the century
What Dougster said, but even further, the justification or not for the war is part of but not the sole determinant of a story of what the war itself does to the man. Not everything has to be either 100% cheerleading or 100% condemnation. Moore is taking out his ass; but so would be those who'd think this is star-spangled America-We're-#1-rah-rah

They are asking those high prices so the guy who drove up in a Hyundai goes away. Nobody is obligated to buy expensive, nobody's obligated to sell cheap. There are escorts who go for $5,000 an evening and they work for governors of NY and pro sports stars. There are hos who'll blow any yutz off the street for a 20. And everything in between. So you shop for what you want at the price you're willing to pay.

Way off topic but ya gotta see it.
Not structurally practical with all sorts of airframes, Papi. You sort of have to design it around the emergency chute, remember you have to carry it internally until needed. At a certain size point you'd need multiple chutes with heavy rigid hanging points which would add a weight penalty and risk the fuselage would split if they did not open simultaneously, or upon hitting the surface With military matériel, you have something heavy but pretty darn sturdy and compact, and *unmanned* when dropped, you only need slow it down enough for it to not break -- a 155mm howitzer is mostly solid steel and built to take violent shock for hours a day -- and the chute is not carried and attached within the object/vehicle, it's external and attached to a pallet on which the object sits or to a harness that wraps around it.

It's called "I'm out of Fucks to Give". Seen it happen before with others, as earlier mentioned. Maybe if some day we elect leaders on the basis of competence instead of whether "you'd like to have a beer with him/her" or "OMG s/he's transformative" or "s/he says 'Jesus' or 'Family' every fourth word" or "s/he feels my pain" ... ... naaaaah, not gonna happen. Clubbing in a blizzard
Heh... during the not-really-SO-bad snowstorm a few years ago when Bloomberg however did not launch the necessary response in time, so things got tied up, Cheetah's on 42d St. Pulled a stunt with their gals shoveled their piece of sidewalk in fur coats and high heeled boots... and topless under the furs (remember, you can be topless in public in NYC). Made for some nice pics for the hardier tourists.

    Say what?
Yeah, that statement is a way to keep up the pretense that it's "other" taxpayers paying, not you (Oh, and: the US Federal Government ends up sending MORE money TO Florida, when you add up all expenditures and transfers, than what it gets FROM the people of Florida in taxes. So there's a tiny germ of truth) And, warhawks, actually the Postal Service does not advertise with tax dollars. After they were turned from a Cabinet Department into a government-owned corporation c. 1970, they became mandated to pay-as-they-go from what they charge customers. And military recruitment in a volunteer force kind of requires advertising. Even in 1917 he "I Want YOU" poster was not just decorative art.

    Retirement
    1. I don't think I ever could really "retire" into mere leisure; if I remain healthy I will likely remain FTE until my 70s and then seek some sort of contract consulting work or just switch to some "doing it just because you like it" work. 2. As things look at this point, if I intend to continue visiting SCs I'd better never get to any lower level of income than I am at right now...
