I'm not "the 1 percent," but I'm not too far away. I was fortunate to grow up solidly middle class, with parents who paid a significant portion of my education expenses. The rest were paid through scholarships and hard work. I am lucky to have a secure, well-paying job now. I don't say this to brag, but to answer the question as presented. I think nearly every day how fortunate I have been in my life. That said, I agree that it's extremely rare to meet at truly wealthy stripper. Yes, they make a lot of money. But the dancers I've come to know, like my ATF, spend it all just as quickly. Whether it's single-mom duties or drunken, drug-filled benders (or both), it seems to disappear quickly. And even though I think my ATF is really smart, she's always "broke," despite being what I think is one of the top earners at her club. The luckiest ones are those who can control their impulse spending, put something away for a rainy day (or retirement), and get out of the game before they're too old to be dancing any more.

No offense, but do you watch anything else?

If the dancer were one of my favorites, and I had another reliable venue in which we could still meet (e.g., OTC), then I would probably do it, mainly to stay on her good side. If it's just a girl I like but who could be interchanged with any other, then probably not. Then again, I live in Detroit, so there's no shortage of clubs either way.

Georg, I feel bad for you. Yeah, it sucks, but I'm with magicrat--at least she had the decency to tell you. In the year that I spent with my ATF, she quietly abandoned me once for a "real" relationship, which didn't last very long. After only a month, that fizzled, and she got back in touch we me, only to lose interest again for another boyfriend. Didn't tell me a damn thing. Not that she really had any obligation to do so, I guess, but it still wasn't fun. I'm not sure what I'll do if she comes back again. She doesn't exactly have a stellar track record in relationships. But when you get attached to someone, even if it is "just about sex," it can be hard to be pulled in all kinds of emotional directions.

You have to learn the secret handshake. It's pretty complicated--almost like a third base coach giving the "bunt" sign. Seriously, just ask the dancer. You'll usually get a favorable vibe even before you need to ask.

Bogart's in Inkster, MI, although most people DO leave "that kind of happy." I, however, frequently leave feeling happy and dirty. And no, not that kind of "dirty."

Similar experiences here. My first clubs were nude but relatively low contact and no extras. I was so excited to see my first fully shaved girl! Ah, the innocence. I found myself in San Diego soon thereafter on business and worked up the courage to go to Tijuana. Even though everything was protected, I couldn't sleep for two nights with worry about what I might have caught. Funny how that thought almost never crosses my mind now.

Juice, I feel your pain. My favorite was recently in the hospital--nothing too serious, just overnight--but I was surprised at how worried I was. We have favorites because we make a connection with someone and become good friends, or sometimes more. I hope that your ATF has friends and family that are there to help, but if not, I hope you have the means and ability to do your part too. It will help you get through it to know that you have done everything you can to support her.

I stopped by one club last year on February 14. Aside from the fact that every girl had some sort of "special" outfit (red or pink thong instead of something else, I guess), it was pretty much the same as any other day of the year. As Club_Goer notes, some regular girls were missing, but it was still pretty much a full crew.

I've been there, my friend. It has been great, AND it has caused me much grief. I won't bore you with details--I've written an article, which you can find in my profile. But the comments here, especially Stiletto's, are spot on, in my experience. You risk a lot by giving her personal info, even if she is honest with you. Because even if you develop a friendship (or more), if you are not willing to leave you wife, it eventually will end. And the end may or may not be very ugly.

And, I agree I don't owe her anything. I apologized, and I was sincere. I hope that she cools off, but I'm prepared to chalk it up to a learning experience either way.

Yeah, stiletto, you may be right. Neither one of us had any illusions of exclusivity, but it's just sad that our good times ended this way.

Skip Windsor, unless you're looking for a legal escort. The clubs aren't worth the trip in my opinion, and getting back into the US can be a pain. If you think you might go, remember your passport, as it is required to come home. I find most TUSCL reviews of Detroit area clubs are accurate. Top tier clubs include Penthouse, Flight Club, and Hustler. Then come the likes of Coliseum, BT's. The blue collar bars are Henry's and Bogart's. Read the reviews, narrow the list, and then ask again if you have specific questions.

I love my Google voice account. But remember: the calls DO show up in your call log on your phone (at least for me), so you must be disciplined about deleting them.

If you've never been to Tijuana, you owe it to yourself to try it once. I did not find it to be a "busy whorehouse" atmosphere, but maybe you will. You won't know until you try. And the prices can't be beat at home. Back to the issue at hand, though. I'm confused. Are you looking to spend the entire day or night with a girl? Or just an hour or two? If it's the latter, why not try to arrange time before or after her shift? That way, she gets her regular "wage" plus a little from you on the side. It depends on the girl, but this CAN be done. I'm doing it regularly. ;-)

Motorhead raises a good question. Best idea is to cut out BOTH of the front pockets. Keep your money in one of your socks for security. Personally, I have my own "dick in a box" apparatus a la Justin Timberlake's SNL skit. The peelers always love a present!

Silky, I know you have reviewed Detroit clubs, but are you from here? If so, there's a FS squirter at FC. PM me. My head hurts just thinking about these numbers. I, too, want to know how you keep track. I only keep track of the money I spend.

I think jacklash has it exactly right. I've never met a stripper who told me about her steady, long-term relationship, well-adjusted & perfectly behaved children, and above-average 401(k). Not to say they don't exist, but I haven't met her. These girls become strippers because it's a relatively easy way to make good money to support their habits (drugs, partying, loser boyfriends) or to support themselves and their kids. They don't really have any other skills to fall back on that would permit the kind of lifestyle they want. The trick is finding a way to stash away some money so they can "retire" before they're too old (whatever age that is). I've known a few who just marry the first rich lawyer, doctor, etc. they find so they can get out of the lifestyle.
