My only true 'local' club has terrible mileage. I like to hit clubs when I travel to see something different. However, in most clubs, I find dancers to be much less comfortable playing if there isn't a level of familiarity with you. (Detroit and Follies days are exception IMO.) Recently, I've been trying to focus my efforts on clubs within 'commuting' distance, but for whatever reason haven't seemed to gain much traction at becoming a 'know' quantity.

There are times I regret not having her help me get more "plugged in" with my local club, but I'm sure I dodged a ton of shit by that not happening.

Depends on when you want to retire. Stocks are over due for a cluster f*ck. Historically long bull market, irrational valuations not supported by fundamentals. If within 5 years of planned retirement, I would be hedging my bets. Otherwise, nothing wrong with low cost mutual funds/eft in a taxable account for extra investing.

At the clubs I frequent, it is $20/song. I can be ok with $25/song if above average mileage and in a larger metro area where CoL is higher. At SLG I hold out for the two for $35. One place I like does three for $40, but it's too far away to go there frequently.

I intentionally avoid smoking clubs. All of the clubs I frequent are non-smoking. Although, I guess I've gotten a bit complacent. I completely missed that Key West clubs allow smoking, but by that point I was beyond the point of no return.
