Monger evolution?

What happened for you that changed you from a strip club schmuck to a strip club savant? (Yes, I understand a few of you are still in the schmuck stage)

Yeah, TUSCL definitely accelerated my monger education - I'm normally not a risk-taker by nature but TUSCL mostly opened my PL-eyes to what was possible

I made a lot of mistakes with my money. I wouldn't consider myself a savant, I just don't mistakes as often.

After club hopping for months, I ended up at a SC where the DJ catered to PL's by spelling everything out for us. He would periodically make announcements to tell everyone that the seats around the stage are ONLY for people who are tipping. And then he would say "If you need money, go to the ATM machine! It's called ATM because its the ASS and TITTY MACHINE." He would announce the VIP lounge and other amenities that a newbie would be unaware of. Also I was fortunate to get a couple of dancers who taught me the ropes rather than trying to hustle me. They explained how the arrangement worked and after a few visits, I was better at choosing the SC and the dancers.

The first time I found out a stripper was lying, about almost everything!
How can you tell a stripper is lying? Her mouth is moving!

If you remember this one rule, you can still have fun with them.

Getting divorced was the key because it made me feel free to do everything with strippers. Meeting the DS was also a key event.

@Smith: "Getting divorced was the key because it made me feel free to do everything with strippers."
    -------------------

Translation: I went through an epic midlife crisis and divorced my wife because I fell in love with a teenage prostitute.

TUSCL was a major factor. But after reading a post above I'll have to say ATMs are as helpful. Never used one inside club but grabbing cash on the way to the club has been paramount to all the fun I've had.

Modern technology has opened up many, many opportunities for all of us.

I miss the days when @Smith was writing feature-length erotic literature about his dream stripper/prostitute. No better entertainment at any price !

Tough lessons can be the best lessons. There are two situations I can readily think of that changed my view on strip clubbing. One of them involved Market Street Cinema in San Francisco, two overweight ROBs, and one ill advised trip to VIP. What made things particularly galling was that I wasn't really into either of them, I was just chasing it to jump start a wasted visit. I've recalled that experience occasionally over the years, and it's been helpful to keep in mind to avoid future "Market Street Moments".

I like to think I always was a pretty stand-up guy before I started on TUSCL but I have learned a lot here from many of you and in many ways you guys & gals have confirmed a lot of what I already knew. I think the difference maker here has been the confirmation that we have quite a few people that are members of this community and derive enjoyment from a lot of the same things.

while i don't think myself as a schmuck i certainly don't consider myself savant. (had to look that up.) i'm still a newbie. with some mileage.

Hardly a savant, but my 17th birthday was a pivotal event.

It was when I realized that the operation of these clubs was completely contrived to maximize the take, and especially when Deja Vu is involved. With our underground circuit it is completely different.

And it was when I learned that lots of the women are perfectly happy to have sex with as many guys as they can, and that what they are asking in return is perfectly reasonable, their compensation for not being married. And it was when I learned that you see and learn in the strip club, but then you create what you want in your own outside life, you don't depend on strip clubs to provide it.

Here is a hilarious movie about a Rev. Ike sort of a character:

They show some of it here, watch how he drives into town in a Rolls followed by an armored car to hold the money.

This has a really interesting melody and harmony. There are fusion jazz versions of this, and they are instantly recognizable, even without the lyrics. This version makes a pleasant change to the lyrics. To my ear, they must have some sort of pickup and amplification on the wood bass, order to get more sustain.

When I was in high school, a drink hustle ROB ditched out after going for a stage set and I got to sit around watching the ice melt in her untouched $20 drink that I bought on my minimum wage earnings. Then a different one saw my predicament and offered me a ride home with a pit stop on the way.
