I agree with those who say many strippers may not report all their income. I was a regular of a pretty and successful stripper who told me one time she had ten thousand dollars stolen from her house. The most likely reason I can think of for keeping that much cash in your house is that you are trying to hide it from the government so they won't tax it.

I never thought about it before but a lot of my stripper regulars had slightly male names like Stevie, Charlie, Dani, or Billie.

Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive are two of the best neo-noirs. I am a big fan of all the film noir movies of the forties and fifties and like modern day movies in that style. Film noir movies are often called a genre but I think it is more a style than a genre like westerns, sci-fi films, comedies etc.

A lot of the strip clubs closing here in Indianapolis are in declining neighborhoods which have other businesses closing too. The problem is new ones are not opening in the better areas of town. In the past clubs were not opened in wealthy areas but you had them opening in working class areas. Those areas are now turning into inner city ghetto areas. There seems to be more legal impediments to opening a new strip club than in the past.

The economy will be a bigger factor in strip club quality. Over the years, I have run into longtime strippers who said business has never been as good after the 2008 economic crash. Less high spending customers equals lower quality dancers. I voted for Trump but I think the economy will continue to deteriorate. Government spending is too high and that will not change until we reach an economic crisis.
