    The long con
I just have to shake my head at your stories, gawker. My own behaviour with certain dancers has been pathetic enough but I am not in your league. You claim to be satisfied with the value you have received for the money you have spent. If that is truly the case, carry on in the future as you have done in the past. It doesn't matter a whit what any of us other tusclers tell you. Keep the stories coming for our amazement and entertainment.

    Absurdity
Jeez, you guys! We live in a free market economy. Price of a good or service is determined by what a buyer is willing to pay for that particular good or service. Competition determines the price level for sellers of similar goods or services. Buyers decide which particular good or service matches their requirements at a price level satisfactory to them. If a girl can get $1K for a jump, good for her. If you can get jumped for $40, good for you.

    New life, new goals.... NYC
@rickdugan, My bankroll and I love a challenge. How do you think my redneck hillbilly smarts might stack up against educated and sophisticated Manhattan strippers (were I ever to make a trip to NYC)?

    REFERRALS FROM OTHER DANCERS
Before the French Maid in Calgary closed there was a waitress who directed me to dancers likely to respond to my OTC pitches. That waitress had a remarkably good record. She never told me exactly how she did it. Sure saved me time and some bucks.

    Geography
Even though I live in the strip club black hole of Alberta I will never leave my paradise in the Alberta countryside. I can't stand living in cities anyway. I will take my strip club adventures as I find them on my travels. I won't even make a special trip just for clubbing now. I got all that out of my system during my short retirement.

So true, shadowcat. Sober, I am a bold and forward guy. Drinking, even more so; often to the point of getting myself in trouble.

Off Topic. Memories of the 50's
Let an old oilman die happy. Bring back the 1950s gas guzzlers. Those mid-50s GM products were built like tanks......sucked up gasoline like tanks, too. Remember when there was no plastic, no aluminum in cars? Even the radio knobs were steel.

Best of all is no phone for strippers. I really don't get this weird need to phone and text with strippers. What's the point? There are a gazillion strippers out there. Even with my Toronto sweetie I don't feel this weird need to phone and text with her. What's to talk about?

OT: Lost in my own thoughts...
I have spent too much of my life in trucks. I like to listen to tunes while driving but the simple fact is that driving requires concentration. Music diverts that concentration. So much of my driving is on unimproved roads and bush trails. Often, a gravel road is a luxury. I shudder when I see the stupid shit that urban drivers get up to while driving city streets or four lane divided highways.

OT: What I did when TUSCL was down
I might have another camp story for you soon, motorhead. The camp has been shuttered for a month but some bush pilot overflew the place recently and reported some disturbance at camp to the horsemen in Fort Simpson. Horsemen won't look into it so it seems like I'll have to charter a helicopter to go see what's up. Sheesh, more $$$$$$$!

    Dogs vs Cats
@goodsouthernboy, Gotta disagree with you about coyotes. I have been around coyotes all my life, fascinating animals to observe. They are smart, crafty, adaptable, unpredictable creatures. I love watching them work. A coyote is the only predator that I have seen take out a porcupine without getting speared with quills. That is a tricky manoeuvre. Even my old dog isn't that smart. Her one encounter with a porcupine resulted in a faceful of quills. Ouch!

    OT:NBA FINALS GAME 3
I tried to watch the game when I was in a pub last night. I just can't get my mind around basketball, so boring to me; turned to read the technical journals I had with me instead of watching the basketball game. Sad to say, the Stanley Cup playoffs have been almost as boring for me. LA, San Jose, Boston, St. Louis all play the slow-skating crash-bang hockey that is killing interest in the game in Canada. Detroit-Chicago was a slick series and it was a delight to see Chicago eviscerate the LA Kings. I hope that the Blackhawks can skate the Bruins into exhaustion like they did with the Kings.

@jester214, Of course I would shoot feral dogs as well but there just aren't any of them around my place. I think the coyotes deal with them quite handily. The feral cats can climb trees to escape the coyotes. My own dog is a big ol' bitch and probably intimidates any strange dogs that enter her territory. She intimidates the coyotes, I know. She is bigger than any coyote.
