@jack0505, flash girls tend to be cool chicks, but OTC is really hard via conventional means given these girls are often making more than $500 just grinding on dicks and offering "average" mileage overall. You'd be hard pressed to find girls actually willing to put out for small amounts, unless you specifically target the low end of the spectrum. Even then, pricier than an escort probably.
@Dougster, as an NYC resident, I can tell you the high end places here are among the hardest in the country to seek OTC unless you're extremely liberal with your money.
Some girls give out phone numbers like candy and perhaps even promise a whole bunch. Realistically, it's generally useless unless you've found the right girl at the right moment in the right club.
Sure, with enough money you can make things happen, but at more conventional OTC rates you'd be very hard pressed to find much unless you venture out to Queens, which is probably the only hint I can offer given the OP's lack of contribution to the forum.

On a serious note, anyone who has spent enough time clubbing in Manhattan understands just how unique it really is. The economics are just downright twisted, with toms of money chasing some of the most gifted (looks and brains) strippers in the country. And as much as you may know better, some of these girls are so beautiful, sexy, elegant and charming that you are sorely tempted to spend absurd amounts of money on ultimately pointless activities - and many guys do just that. These girls are also much more cosmopolitan than dancers in many other areas and are often better educated and well traveled, with a number of them hailing from a variety of Western European, Asian and Arab countries, in addition of course to the normal crop of Eastern European girls.
For the most part, I stopped clubbing in Manhattan years ago. I pop my head in one of them from time to time, but I find much better value (on a relative scale) out in Queens.

So far it looks like in most clubs works less well than "just ask" and in the toughest clubs looks like it don't work with shit. So why was it such an accomplishment? All I'm trying to understand. :-)

Pick the right club. This stuff works in many places, but picking the right club helps a lot. A club with only a couple of girls working in it is not a good option as this can be a game of numbers. Also, if you are in a big city, stay away from any club close to the downtown business district as it will already have a bunch of suited guys trying to do the same thing - not only is the competition high, but the prices get high too. You want to find a club with a decent number of fair to good looking women that is frequented mostly by locals. Ideally you will be the only suit in a club full of hungry women :) DO YOUR RESEARCH.

Oh wait, a minute, maybe in YOUR particular case (super-inflated ego), wearing the suit makes you feel like you are RICH STUD when you are not so it accomplishes that even if it has no impact, or a slight negative one, on your OTC chances?
Fraudster: The title of the original article was "How to Maximize OTC When Traveling", not "How to convert girls in any club into OTC playmates." As everyone but you seems to understand, not every club is good hunting ground. The approach I outlined in the article is as good today as it was 3 years ago when I first published it.

I won't be surprised if it is "just as good now" as it was then - i.e. slightly worse than "just ask".
At the end of the day, I think Rick does have valid points in his article. Sure, you probably don't need to sit there with a bespoke tailored suit to find hookers, but it wouldn't hurt your chances.
The concept of making it clear that you HAVE money you're willing to spend, but aren't necessarily just going to drop it carelessly inside the club with no action is dead-on. It's a tough thing to portray sometimes, but you basically make the girl hungry for your crash and drill in her mind that the only way to get it is through OTC (or ITC, if that's the desired result/possible in the club you're at).
I do not think it's appropriate to call a guy a "player" if he's just hunting for tail in a strip club, because yeah, at the end of the day you are paying for it. But, at the same time, it DOES take some degree of skill to have a good batting average with this. Targeting the right girls, portraying the correct vibe, etc takes experience.
Of course I can go into certain clubs and literally just ask for sex. And no doubt, Dougster, it's going to work sometimes. But I think there could be value to more specialized tactics. Like I said, I'm of the opinion that going totally suited up to a club might be overkill, but there's way more to it than that anyways.
