I don't think there's a pattern. The one I'm involved with has been doing it a long time, knows where/when she can make money without too much hassle, and just does that. These days it's 1-2 weekends a month. She's good enough that her clubs are glad to have her whenever she chooses to work. She has two other regular jobs, plus some odd gigs. Her dancer pals are pretty much the same.

At that Myrtle Beach club next to Derriere's, a crazy drunk chick was all over me from the stage, putting her tits in my face, throwing her legs over my shoulders (Idiot DJ yelling, "The pussy, the pussy!"), then finally jumping into my lap and giving me a lapdance. All for like two bucks.

My GF is a dancer, and my only SC activity these days is with her. She buys me dances to tease me, but if things went too far she would be upset.
There are dancers she has asked me not to interact with at the clubs we go to and in the group she works with and stays with in Las Vegas. Even the "nice" ones might try to get her man, just to entertain themselves.
She's quite conventional in her love life and would be very hurt if I cheated on her.

I've spent a lot of time in Vancouver. Strip clubs are tame because prostitution is legal and people can get sex elsewhere. As noted above, there are online forums for that.
Bars and nightclubs there are crawling with pros too, like they are in Vegas. I've been hit on (ie, hit up) almost every night out.

I like the artsy girls and the personas and looks and costumes they come up with, so I compliment that. Most guys just tell them they're hot, but they'd rather hear about originality and cleverness. Tell 'em you like their look, and why, "You're so space-age Barbarella," or something like that.

I've always gone a few times a year, except when I've have a girlfriend and didn't go at all for 2-5 years. Exception to that is with the current girlfriend, who is a stripper. So I go at the normal rate, once every couple of months.

I don't seek sex from strippers at the club but I seem to wind up with them on the outside. I'll go along with C and D. But also, the smarter ones can make small talk forever and deal with awkwardness, so they're easy to get a along with on dates, at least before the craziness takes over. They can also separate sex and love, and are down for a good time on a date and/or a good fuck with no commitment. Basically, crazy party girls. I find them through other venues but surprise, a lot of them happen to be strippers.

Most of the clubs I go to seem to have safe parking, but I never leave anything visible inside my car anyway.
I drive an "economy car" as well as an older, but still modern looking, Mercedes S-Class. The Mercedes is actually worth less. When I drive the Mercedes I get a much warmer welcome. I'm sure the doormen pass the word about who/what just drove up.
