I think the dancers want to be in control of the situation, and will not relinquish the opportunity to be aloof, play hard to get or otherwise engage in meaningless stripper shit. It's the reason so many clubs generally suck. Besides, changing to the suggested method would require more organization that most strip club managers could accomplish.

If you club long enough, you will undoubtedly have a bad experience. Most clubs are just bad experiences waiting to happen; it's your job to anticipate the bad things and maneuver around them with agility. (Like politely telling the fugly not to sit next to you.)
I would think that everybody who has been clubbing for 3 years or more has had a dancer who substantially over-counted the number of dances you just did. Usually, these "bad" things can be overcome without taking the club off your list.
I quit going to Temptations in Kansas City for about six months in the early 2000's, because they had this asshole bouncer who was just a big stupid dick....I'm sorry, there is just no other description for him.
The owner would fire him from the club, then make him his chauffeur, then within a few months he'd be back in the club harassing customers and dancers. This went on for years until he died of heart failure a couple of years ago. R.I.P. Jess, but you were a bad match for that club...any club.

I too, made the trek to Tampa in the late 90's. My goal was to visit Mons, and to get a nude lap dance. Got the nudie at a place that is no longer there because they widened the road along the causeway and tore the club down. I wasn't that impressed with the dance because it was very low contact and she stood far enough away to be annoying. I liked the view at Mons, but didn't get any dances.

I hadn't thought about it before now, but living in a conversion van across the street from different clubs would really be convenient. Put in a 5' pole and build a little stage with lo-volt rope lighting around the edge. Whoooweee, maybe a glitter ball with some spotlights. When you go to the club, park near the back door, and try to get dancers to see you ROTC (right outside the club). Shower at truck stops, and hook into their wi-fi with your 3G to write reviews here.

According to the listing here for Dollie's, the telephone number is 618-271-4257. Call and ask them when shift change is. Seems like weekdays would be same as weekends, tho.
As it is with most loosely run ESL clubs, the MOST girls are there on any night from 9-1.

DATY describes a particular act of pleasure. Using the acronym is much more descriptive to TUSCL'ers than saying Dinner At The Y, which in itself requires a great deal of explanation. Dinner? Why not lunch, and what are you going to eat? Are you really going to EAT it, or just lick it? Why do I need to go to the Young Mens' Christian Association to do something often (sadly, not) done at an SC...ooops, I mean Strip Club.
I admit that BJ has always confused me a bit. I don't think I have ever encountered a girl who actually did any *blowing*. SJ makes more sense.

As said before, not much correlation between "10" and good dance. Don't usually wait more than 1/2 hour for ANY dancer to become available - ATF or "9".
True 10's are not strippers. Again, as said before, they don't have to be. And probably wouldn't be even if personal financial situation was temporarily a problem. Strip Club 10's are real world 8's and 9's.
