Having said that, the owners are responsible for hiring the managers and creating the necessary verifications procedures and documentation. The managers are responsible for implementing established procedures. The owners are responsible for managing the managers. If owners are aware this is happened, they should go to jail. If owners fail to establish and monitor procedures for adequate age verification, the are likely liable for damages, but not held criminally responsible.

I respectfully disagree. I appreciate desertscrub's attempts to identify bullshit reviews raising the average score of crap clubs. Is he batting 1.000 . . . likely no. Is he correct 85% of the time -- I would say yes. If it bothers you, ignore it. I, for one, use it to quickly skip over reviews that are not worth reading (most of the time). Some of his mistakes are calling all first time reviewers shill reviews/club ads. They're not all shill reviews by club owners/employees themselves. Not all crap reviews or unreasonably glowing reviews of crap clubs are, necessarily, shill reviews. But they are worthless. What they often represent are useless reviews by people merely securing a VIP membership for a month at which time they go away. In that case, I say "who needs them?" They don't contribute in any meaningful way to the discourse between regular TUSCL users if they are one and done. At the end of the day, rock on desertscrub! No complaints here. PS Desertscrub is not even close to the craziest person on TUSCL. Come on, you know who you are.

Can't agree with George HW Bush I on your list. His wife (Barbara Bush) was 4th cousin 4 times removed of Franklin Pierce. Hardly a descendent of royalty. HW was not an elitist. He joined the Navy as an ensign after Pearl Harbor at age 18 and was the youngest ever commissioned as an aviator at the time. After the war, he went to college, graduated, moved to West Texas and entered the oil business becoming a millionaire by 40. Having made his fortune, he moved into politics as a member of the House of Representatives, then UN Ambassador, ambassador to China, Director of CIA, Vice President and then President. That's a lot more service to his country than many (see Barack O). The Democratic controlled Congress passed a tax increase which, against prior campaign promises, he agreed to sign as being in the best interest of the country at the time (costing him a second term as President). James Buchanan (D) and Warren Harding (R) were much worse than either Bush, IMHO. Fun discussion, though.

Following up on 4got2wipe -- "Can non extras girls really make money in Detroit?" Theory: the vast majority of PLs in clubs are NOT on tuscl, have never been on tuscl and have none of the knowledge we all share so generously here. As a result, the uninformed (of which we were all probably one at one stage or another) rain obscene amounts of cash to glean glances at hot babes and accept air dances. Even some that know what they can get don't want extras and are satisfied with much less. Result: I'm sure Nina and other dancers CAN make decent money around the country, yes even in Detroit, without performing extras or UHM/VHM dances. Just not from any of us! Do the math -- compare the dozens of frequent tuscl contributors with the hundreds of clubs. With a few exceptions, I'll bet that only 1 in 10 customers in the average club on any given night are tuscl contributors and only 3 in 10 know enough to demand that which we commonly expect and receive.

Having been to three of these places over the years, I will not visit again until I hear that they have reduced their pricing aggressively. I find it so hard to believe they are even still in business. Quality is mediocre and pricing is too high. I will stick with casino dates when in Vegas. I will avoid these places AND avoid Vegas SCs. Oh yeah, Dennis Hof is a douche.

Confronting transgressors is satisfying but often a bad idea. You never know if crazy has a knife or gun or some shit. Best to call the cops, advise that you're trying to avoid a confrontation and urge a prompt response before it escalates. Further advise them you intend to wait until a cop arrives. They won't want to risk a confrontation after they were advised and will usually get right after it. If they arrive on time and the parking is deemed illegal, the fines are usually quite hefty!

I present myself as a regular visitor on business from outside the area. I tell them I am in a business requiring regular frequent travel to their area and always go out for fun. I even do this at my local clubs. This sends several useful messages: 1. I am not a nube -- you're not going to rip me off. 2. I am a regular -- you'd better treat me right for frequent paydays. 3. I am not a local -- anything we do is no-strings-attached -- you don't have to worry about running in to me. 4. I have a job that pays me well enough to visit you.

Well said, @twentyfive. The most informed rational posting on TUSCL on this topic! It is my theory that the nation is 30-40-30. 30% far left, 30% far right and 40% split in the middle. This is why the primaries give us fucked up options from which to choose. Then, in the general elections, the center 40% each year are faced with choosing the lesser of two evils -- a nearly 50-50 split over and over.
