38 is hardly old, although kids can age you. At 57 I am just starting to say old fart things and ache in the morning. I told my wife the only thing she has to worry about is that I may just want to be alone for the rest of my life. Once you get used to being unaccountable and fancy free it becomes harder to be a responsible spouse. If that was ever a goal anyway.

I only use my card at the one club where I know everyone and I am known. If I go to a new club it is only cash. I also only use the card for food and drink.

2 years to go and retiring at 59. I will have more money in retirement then I do now because I won't be saving a third of my pension check. I will go twice a month until I can't. It is just too much fun to give up. Dougster-Roth IRA as well as annuities and dividends.

That girl at the landing strip was Cali (sp?) she is smart but she has never been in a classroom. I work in higher education and that girl couldn't tell me the name of any of her classes. I often go for an early lunch at my usual club and sometimes I am the only one there for an hour or two. This generally works to my advantage as I am the only game afoot. The vibe is more relaxed and I usually end up with three or more girls sitting in the booth just shooting the shit without upsell. I also get to eat my lunch in peace as they don't expect action until they have been there for an hour or so and had a drink or two. I have my favorites who will gravitate towards me but I also get to ask newbies to hang out for awhile. It is different then the buzz of the evening crowd but it is mellow.

Somebody is taking this way-y-y-y-y too seriously. I hope that the rest of his life is not so tightly wound. Other than the money it doesn't matter.

I always say I am semi-retired. Since I look about 35-40 this usually leads to "but you're so young!". I reply that retirement is not a function of age. If they follow that then they usually think I am loaded and hang around for the rest of the bullshit that I spin. I also always say I am on my way back from something,anything. This creates a sense of laissez -faire that seems to work.

At 57 I look 38 and with the job and the money I am having more fun then I ever did as a youngster. Main squeeze is 58 but still smoking hot with mad skills and a lush body. Youngsters on the side as needed.

I was a bartender for seven years and I always dreaded New Years Eve. Too many people getting drunk after one weak drink and acting the fool for their cheap friends. I stay home now and read about the wrecks in the morning.

40 hours a week but only 200 days a year minus my 5 days of personal and the 12 days of sick time. Full time pay for half time work. Gotta' love the union. I often do not use all my time and up leaving days on the table.

I had a long talk with one my students and she told she had been fired from her job in a production facility because was "a distraction". She is 21 years old and takes care of six siblings (one an older mentally ill sister). Her parents (step-dad) are both employed and sound like users. She is kinda' cute and very worried about not being able to provide Christmas to her brothers and sisters. She is not too smart (vocational trades student) but is a hard worker. These seems like a likely road to dancing without the substance abuse angle. Any kind word would head her in that direction. I am not a recruiter or a pimp but I can see how it happens.

Having worked as a counselor for the military this is probably more to protect the paychecks of ignorant ( and sometimes stupid ) soldiers. Way too much money disappears into fort side "businesses" and can really impact soldiers families.

The only time my license was copied is when I borrowed money on my AMEX. Stupid ,one time thinking but I saw why they wanted that. Any other reason would be a deal breaker.
