Fantastic, outstanding story. Thanks for posting it! Reducing the subject to simple economics--great way to respond!

It's about time a club that conducts itself like this was taken to task. Kudos to Tamara Yatkin for putting the heat on a strip club! The fears that some establishments (not solely strip clubs) have that don't permit women are truly archaic. Maybe this action will force a lot of clubs that still do this, to recognize this is the 21st century.

The Most Improbable Text from a Stripper
I wish I've gotten texts like that! Early in my club-going career, I was stupid enough to "loan" money to dancers. Not one single dancer has ever repaid one single dollar I've loaned to them. It would be nice of a dancer to let me know she hasn't forgotten and still intends to repay the loan (even if it's just BS or SS).

    Padding the dance count
If the dancer was on stage recently, you might have a chance for the d.j. to confirm your count. A response to a recent thread concerning the same situation involved the customer and dancer going to the d.j. for the count. The customer counted maybe five songs, and the dancer said four, as an example. The d.j. was able to confirm that five songs ago, the dancer was on stage, so it could have only been four, max.

Mikeya, I haven't seen that movie since it came out. So, I didn't even remember that scene. I'll have to watch it again.

    Mini Skirts-Panties or No Panties
@ Slick: Great expression of the joys of seeing a voluptuous woman in a miniskirt. And, I too, concur with GoV. Even though I'm a boobologist, where my specialty is above a woman's waist, I do enjoy the site of an appropriately sculpted woman wearing a short, tight skirt. The boobular equivalent is probably the tube top. And the sight of a woman wearing both! @ Motor: Haha! I must admit myself, that there are some things I watch on TV just to see how certain women are dressed.

How do you find a dancer that has moved to another club?
First of all, you seem to be thinking that she changed clubs. But, I sense you don't know that for certain. She could have quit the industry. When that happens, dancers often don't want to keep in touch with former customers, or even other dancers. Or, if she is still dancing, it could be that she would have liked to have let you know where she moved to, but other factors outweighed her decision not to tell you. She could have other people she's hiding from and don't want them to know her new location: Bullies, creditors, etc.

Damn ... did you guy read TUSCLer "londonguy"FKK reviews ... damn Sodom and Gomo
When the subject of FKK clubs came up a long time ago, I had to look up what it means. According to the Urban Dictionary: "frei-körper-kultur" (free body culture). In a strip club type of setting, that must mean a "free for all." There are two definitions post at: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=FKK The second is a little more applicable in this case.

You give extensive advice on cell phone and strippers, yet in your only other thread you say you don't like lap dances. That doesn't compute.

Your reason for going to the club...
Jerikson, I think from what she's stated about herself in her short tenure on TUSCL, I sense she's cognizant of all the points you mentioned. Cara seems like a very-well-put-together person, particularly a dancer.

    OT. Lost in the 50's.
Jerikson, I met Jerry Mathers once. I lived in Valencia, CA at the time, and I knew he did too. About every few years there'd be a story about him in the local paper, with a current photo, so I knew what he looked like presently. I was walking on one of the local trails one day in March 2005. I saw a somewhat portly man walking toward me on the trail. Even though he was completely covered with a bulky jacket, hat, and sunglasses, I thought to myself, "I'll bet that's Jerry Mathers." I was hoping his walk on the trail would be like mine was due to be, in that he'd reverse his direction at some point and we'd meet again. Exactly that happened, and this time I stopped and chatted with him for a few minutes. He was very gracious about stopping to talk to a fan.

Shadow, Great stuff and great memories. I think I could name 98% of the people shown (actors/actresses, politians, government officials, and athletes of the era). I recognized over half of the products shown. All the others were definitely typical of the time. I detected one anachronism: at 3:23 a photo is shown of Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris. Maris didn't join the Yankees until 1960. Both left the Yankees following the 1968 season. So the pic dates to 1960-68. Jerikson, Elinor Donohue was the actress who played the older daughter, Betty, on "Father Knows Best." See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elinor_Donahue

    PL Travel Time
I've flown from L.A. to Toledo, twice, specifically to see a particular L.A. dancer I knew well who was visiting friends in Toledo. She danced at their club for about a month both times I went. (I was only there four days each trip.) Also, I've flown from Seattle to Las Vegas several times, specifically for clubbing, not gambling. Like the Toledo trips, I had a fave there, but also spent some time with other dancers and in other clubs. As for driving, 90 minutes (one way), to go to a particular club. Same as above, to see a fave. Only did that a couple of times, when she worked close to home. Mostly she worked a club closer to where I lived.

How many of you dudes would live to see the return of pictures?
I always keep a copy of my profile pics stored in my computer. When (or if) Founder is able to restore the photo hosting capability, I'll be able to repost mine. The captions I had will probably be lost. But, I remember enough about the circumstances of each photo to write a new caption.

    Stripping as a stepping stone...
At the point when it becomes obvious she's asking you for money is the time to depart. Just giving some of your time to help her isn't so bad. You decide that for yourself. But, when the requests for money come, you know she's gone too far, and you won't be able to save her.

Art, see: http://www.wafflehouse.com/ They're not in all states, but many of them. In the western states, with just a quick perusal of their locations, WY, CO, AZ, NM. Definitely not in the far west or the Pacific Northwest. I've been to just one. That was in Phoenix many years ago. Of those who are more familiar with the chain, would it be accurate to state that it's a cheap version of IHOP?

    Something I learned today
About waitresses that only dance in the VIP: I knew of one club like that. The waitresses are allowed to dance for customers in the VIP because the club gets a cut of those dances. When regular dances are given out on the floor, the club doesn't take a cut of that. So, when you see that a dances only gives a limited type of dance (such VIP) it may be because that's all the club will allow her to do.

Papi, The situation you described could be similar to what happens here in Seattle. All of the Deja Vu clubs have hourly specials, once the club is busy. That's usually by the 10 p.m. hour. But, on the specials, the club takes a cut of the dancers' money. I think it's $10, out of a 3/$40. special. Many dancers avoid the specials because of that. In the situation you mentioned, that's really tacky for the d.j. to announce over the PA system that the dancers will be fined for not circulating. A discreet note posted in the dressing room should suffice. Another good reason to do away with deejays.
