PL Travel Time

shailynn
They never tell you what you need to know.
This may be quite a PL question but I am guilty of it. It made me reflect because I may be in a travel situation this weekend and I had to ask myself these questions.

1. Whats the furthest you've ever travelled to specifically go to a strip club?

2. What's the furthest you've ever travelled to go to a strip club in one night (there and back)?

To answer my own questions, luckily I travel a lot so I can reroute a few things to end up where I want to be (for instance an over night layover where I want to be). I have travelled to cities to specifically go to strip clubs and other activities such as casinos in Montreal or strip clubs and massage parlors in toronto. Detroit for strip clubs and casinos as well. Of course there are tons of other cities that I wind up going to strip clubs in but that's not the SPECIFIC reason I am there.

I guess you can say I've actually flown places where my itinerary specifically involved strip clubs, also driven up to 6 hours each way, but those trips have been at least for a weekend, almost like a mini vacation for me.

As for distance in one night, I've never broken more than 1 hour each way, considering doing 2 hours each way this weekend if my schedule permits. Guess that makes me a PL after all!!!

400 miles to visit the Memphis Platinum Plus. In the same day 42 miles each way to Follies in Atlanta.

I excluded all flights that I have taken to Mexico, etc.

20 minutes for a club. But I've travelled an hour+ each way for hot dates.

For a long stretch I made a weekly trek to Baltimore to see a fav, 70 miles (one way), 1.5. - 2 hrs (one way) depending on the traffic.

Now the only club I go to is 10 mins out of my way.

The winners here will be the guys who travel from LA or NY to Bangkok or wherever just for pussy. Like 8,000 miles, and a $2,000 flight just to save a few hundred $$ having "really cheap" sex with hookers...

I've never done that, but I did fly LA to Rio once, mostly just to see if all the stories about the girls there was true. And DAMN, it was all that and more. Those Brazilian women are the hottest on the planet.

Oh, and I flew LA to Tampa once, long ago, just to go to strip clubs. Awesome.

Back when Tampa was THE place for strip clubs, I used to regularly plan 3-day weekend trips to Tampa.

I did a road trip a couple of years back the objectives were split about 50/50 between seeing the Western and South Western parts of the country and strip clubs along the way. Added about 6000 miles to my odometer. As for one night maybe 2.5 hrs roundtrip so about 120 miles.

I actually want to copy what VinceMichaels did. Spend a year homeless and just travelling around the country visiting strip clubs. My approximations say it would cost about $70,000 to $100,000. Hope the stock market keeps moving up! :-)

I live in Virginia where the clubs suck. Pasties, they only serve beer/wine and the lap dances START at $50 bucks for a 2 for 1 in which the songs are purposely shortened although it's advertised as a "special"

I don't travel regularly, so for most of year I'm stuck with Virginia clubs.

Despite all that, there have only been two times when I drove a couple hours for the sole purpose of going to a club. All my other out of town visits to clubs- I just so happened to be visiting family or on vacation and I visited a club that was nearby.

As much as I like clubbing, I very rarely drive long distances for the sole purpose of going to a club. There has to be something REALLY outstanding about that club for me to make that drive.

    Govikings...

Dont know where you're located in Virginia but ever go to the block in Baltimore? Might be an options but I haven't been there in at least 10 years...

They are out there, that's why I go to Detroit, Montreal, and toronto which are the closet to me. Other Meccas are Phoenix, City of Industry, many cities in Texas, Portland just to name a few. I think all the cities I named would make the most casual strip clobber a hard core fan.

Dougster that's funny, I've had the same aspiration. If I ever hit the lottery... Spend a year doing that, then travel around Europe doing the same thing. At the end I'd pick my favorite city I visited and move there permanently. My guess is it would be somewhere in Europe! Lol fkk clubs!

1 hour to check out a new club. Turned out that it totally wasn't worth it.

I've flown from L.A. to Toledo, twice, specifically to see a particular L.A. dancer I knew well who was visiting friends in Toledo. She danced at their club for about a month both times I went. (I was only there four days each trip.)

Also, I've flown from Seattle to Las Vegas several times, specifically for clubbing, not gambling. Like the Toledo trips, I had a fave there, but also spent some time with other dancers and in other clubs.

As for driving, 90 minutes (one way), to go to a particular club. Same as above, to see a fave. Only did that a couple of times, when she worked close to home. Mostly she worked a club closer to where I lived.

Our golf trip used to be to Orlando so a 110 mile round trip to go to the Inner Room Cabaret didn't seem like a Big deal. Then we moved 60 miles North of Tampa, otherwise know as 165 miles from the Inner Room, both ways. Of course we went anyway.

    shailynn,

I live in the Richmond, VA area

Never been to the block in Baltimore, but I've heard some good things about it. Maybe I'll check it out one of these days, who knows.

The two times I made an exception and drove a couple hours, as I mentioned in my first post, was when I went to Fuego ( a Latin club) in Hyattsville, Maryland that has $10, 2 way contact dances and BYOB. Those things I just named is what qualifies for something REALLY outstanding that's worth making the drive for.

I travel 4-5 hours (each way) to go from Henderson NV to the clubs in COI as often as I can pull a work assignment out that way. I am much closer to Vegas but I despise Vegas SC's. The long drive to COI is worth it to me.

    @club-goer:

    Toledo? Really?

Where you "spend a week there one night"?

Where "They roll up the sidewalks at 9:00"?

With apologies to John Denver's ghost! ;-)

    1. That's a tough one to answer, because whenever I go on vacation, it's not solely to go to strip clubs. OTOH, I specifically spent the night in Bloomington-Normal, IL once just to go to the Kappa Kabanna up the road from there. Then again, from where I live in Omaha, Brad's Brass Flamingo in Indy is farther away, but I was also visiting an old college buddy of mine then and he was along when we went there.

    2. From here in Omaha, I once drove all the way down to the Tropicana at US 75 and US 56 near Scranton, KS and back in one day. It's either that or any of the clubs in Lawrence, KS, whichever is farther of those two. I've also driven to Des Moines and all of their clubs in one day and back, too, but I believe Des Moines is closer.

The last time I was in Vegas, I specifically went there for the strip clubs. It was a 2 hour flight.

I'm planning to fly to Germany to go to an FKK club. That should be the record, unless one of you PLs beat me to it.

@Viking: You poor bastard. I clubbed in Richmond a few years back and it was utterly horrible. The pasties and full booty shorts were bad enough, but when I learned that I couldn't even have a fucking whiskey with my non-nudity, I was done. I tried a few clubs over a couple of nights, then just said fuck it.

As far as the general questions, in my younger and single years I did extended weekend trips, not solely focused on strip clubs but they were a strong consideration. I would also do same day trip to clubs that were 60 or so miles away if I had good reason.

Nowadays, I already get enough variety that I'm not motivated enough to travel too out of my way just to visit a strip club. And when I am in hotel in a travel city, or at home, the club needs to be no more than 20 miles away.

I've never gone *anywhere* just to go to a strip club. I don't recall when that was even the *primary* reason. If there's a club I want to see in the area to which I'm traveling, or in the route, I'll likely make time for it. But a special trip? Nope.

I commute about 3 hrs to my current fav club. I hate driving (far) at night, so it's an overnight trip.

The answer to both is from San Antonia to Mexico. Don't recall the distance and not going to look it up.

During my retirement I took a bi-national cross continent trip focused entirely on strip clubs......Alberta to Montreal via the US Mid-West then back to Alberta via the northern Great Lakes route - a return trip of about 9,000km.

    My limit is two hours.

Compared to Milwaukee, Chicago clubs provide a better combination of mileage and girl hotness, albeit at a higher price (but I'm OK with that). All things aside, I've had better experiences there than I've had in Milwaukee. But the south side of Chicago is as far as I'm comfortable going in one night. NWI starts getting a little far away for me, and there's not really anything worthwhile to the north or west.

Flew from Miami to Atlanta in late March just for the purpose of a SC vacation.

In early 2012 flew from Miami to Dallas for personal business – while in Dallas I drove to Houston and back (~4 hours each way) and spent 2 days there just for the purpose of SCing,

Locally, the furthest I’ll drive is from Miami to West Palm Beach which is about 70 to 75 mi one way and takes about 1 hr to 1 hr & 15 mins.
(I’ll usually drive out of Miami-Dade county to SC only when I’m bored with the local scene and just want a different atmosphere – but I do have plenty of options in Miami does not making it necessary for me to drive long distances to SC)
