Troop, I agree with your assessment. An investigative unit for the State goes undercover, produces an unimpressive list of violations, and refers them to prosecutors who may or may not act. Maybe the club owner pissed off somebody important. Or maybe the place is mob connected and the other shoe will drop soon. Look for a report of tax evasion next.

When I retire from my current job, I think I'm going to become a traveling career counselor for strippers. I will be professional and courteous, but will take payment only in lap dances and OTC action. And, I will break TUSCL_Bro's record for most strip club reviews. Now those are worthy goals.
Ok Quayla, about your potential career. You need a little 3 week plan:
Week 1 - Make sure you have a reliable babysitter lined up, someone who will let you get away with all kinds of shit as your schedule may not be predictable. Call the club and ask them if they need girls, how to apply, do you get to audition on stage the same day, and do you get to start work the same day if they like you. Finally, tell them when you're coming in, and then call them again before you go all the way there to make sure it's a good time.
Week 2 - Somehow, get your baby settled with the babysitter and get to the club and do the audition or whatever they require. Don't party the night before. Don't get there late. Do arrive looking good, with your clothes and shoes in a little bag, ready to dance.
Week 3 - Work your ass off and be nice to everybody, even the bitches and assholes. Do not say a bad thing about anybody. Getting hired is easy. Getting accepted is more difficult and some girls may try to squeeze you out. Do not give them the satisfaction of breaking you or drawing you into a fight. Do not give the DJ a blow job; he is not your friend (LOL!)
At some point in week 3 you will have some money. Do not spend it on anything except the babysitter, gas, and food. Do not celebrate by buying a bottle of Crown or treating all your friends to a drink, or a pair of new stripper shoes. You are not rich, you have only just begun. Don't start spending money 'til week 5 or 6 at the earliest.

I like what Art and Steve have to say, because they evoke what I think is the necessary ingredient for creating a successful strip club visit, and that is self confidence. I have walked into plenty of clubs that were almost empty, and if my attitude was good going in,I usually could make great things happen. The girls are willing participants in this little play. When they walk out on stage for the first time and see only a few guys, they have this oh shit moment just like us. It's fight or flight time for them as well. This is a great opportunity. Lead the way.

Wear dark pants. Save your drink napkin. Go to the bathroom afterwards and clean up. Honestly, it's not rocket science.
For me, over time I found myself avoiding this situation because the cleanup is a bit of a hassle. So the solution was easy. Talk to the girl. Let her know what you want. Like, "I would love for you to make me cum, but I don't want a mess on my pants." In most cases, those little conversations resulted in an increase in her willingness and better service. Amazing!

- rump/booty shaking (but only in the right club...a big shout out to Bandaids in Phoenix)
I saw a fake orgasm contest in a regular nightclub once. It was not exciting.
The contest I would like to see is the New DJ Contest. Man, that should yield some dividends.

The nice thing about TUSCL for pathetic losers who are looking for extras is that the clubs where this can reliably happen are almost all reviewed and the situation has been documented. So just read the reviews. Now, for the guys who are not pathetic losers, the situation is different. They know that even in a place where extras are not the norm, the right approach can yield benefits. So it's really not about the city, or the clubs, but about the man. So, you could rephrase your question.

Dirt, the more important questions have to do with your relationship with your BF and whether the two of you have talked this out entirely. If you're just looking for a one time adventure, then I would recommend finding a girl who does want money, because it will then be over when it's over. And then you can decide if you both liked it as much as you imagined.
My personal experience with threesomes is that they were fun, but not as much fun (and as satisfying) as sex with the right woman.
BTW, if you like sharing your BF with other girls, why not consider getting involved in a swingers group? It's a lot more open, predictable and less expensive than strip clubs for that purpose.

Art, my sense tells me it is no more SS than what you could expect from any woman, and maybe less. I only say this because I believe many strippers have a common set of needs, and they go something like this: 1) financial stability; 2) emotional stability; and 3) affiliation (not even love, but just belonging with someone). They don't get all 3 from their typical younger boyfriend, and many guys in the clubs will fall short as well. Maybe all she was telling you was that you fulfill her needs. Anyway, it's nice to hear, isn't it?

Considering that 75% of my club visits have been during business trips...whatever POS I could get at the company rate. As for my personal car, I never take any special precautions. Hell, I don't have a luxury car. I'm saving all my money for the ladies.

Speaking of...well, I've seen my share recently. Clubber, very funny! Too bad the women in Saudi Arabia are still not allowed to drive, but they're stirring things up a bit now. Here in Oman, the women drive. They are no better or worse than women elsewhere (what, did I say something?). I was just up in Dubai. You think Burkha's at the lake park is strange; try Burkha's in the lingerie store at the mall. They're buying push-up bras, for some reason. Yep, there's a mountain of contradiction going on. These ladies are desparate for the 21st century, and wrapped up in a 12th century covering.

When you specified, I assumed hard drugs. I have known some very sweet strippers who just smoked pot. None of them was strung out.
Another observation: there seems to be a higher incidence of bipolar disorder with strippers. This actually fits, because a stripping job would have the flexible schedule needed to handle those manic phases.

So many factors to consider, so I've taken a regional approach based on my living, traveling and clubbing experiences (by the way, I have been to 47 States and bicycled in about 35, for what that's worth...)
Northeast - Stamford, CT. High cost of living offset by convenient access to the Big Apple, nice location on Long Island Sound, the variety of four seasons, and high mileage strip clubs within easy drive.
Southeast - Tampa, FL. A funky mix of old and new, great outdoor activities most of the year, excellent clubs.
North Central - Position Vacant. Sorry all you mid-westerners. Despite some great club locations, and a world class city in Chicago, no particular place has the right combination for me.
South Central - Austin, TX. Aging hippies and the college crowd, plus the live music scene, decent clubs, and Dallas/Houston available for higher mileage. If you can't have fun in Austin, you can't have fun.
Southwest - Phoenix, AZ (my home base). The economy sucks right now, but there is a reason Phoenix grew so rapidly. Good housing, great golf, great weather 8 months of the year, and several excellent clubs with $10 lappers. And if you like surgically enhanced, we got that too.
Northwest - Portland, OR. Just a nostalgic pick. There are many clubs but mileage is low. But who needs clubs when the quality of life is so high? Great four season outdoor activities. The view of Mt. Hood is spectacular, for the 23 minutes it is visible each year (ok, rain is an issue, but it can be managed).
