Here in the Detroit area, I've heard constantly that we have the USA's largest concentrations of Arabs in the metropolitan area. One sees the women everywhere, on the streets, in their party stores and gas stations, so on and so forth. I don't have a problem per se with their observance of their cultural and religious dictates for the most part. However as in today when out to our largest lake and beach, at Metropolitan Beach today, there was a large picnic just off the beach, and virtually all the women were wearing burkhas. One it's a hot day here, and two, the young women are pretty. But, ughhhhh, those burkhas got to go! LOL

    I live in a major metropolitan area. Prior to 9/11, I rarely saw burkhas. After 9/11, they popped up everywhere. Even white women were wearing them.

    Because of 9/11, many of us had the attitude, "You don't know what you just started, but you're about to find out." Post 9/11, I think some women had a sympathetic response to BL and his cohorts, and they converted.

    Speaking of...well, I've seen my share recently. Clubber, very funny! Too bad the women in Saudi Arabia are still not allowed to drive, but they're stirring things up a bit now. Here in Oman, the women drive. They are no better or worse than women elsewhere (what, did I say something?). I was just up in Dubai. You think Burkha's at the lake park is strange; try Burkha's in the lingerie store at the mall. They're buying push-up bras, for some reason. Yep, there's a mountain of contradiction going on. These ladies are desparate for the 21st century, and wrapped up in a 12th century covering.

    i was a mod on a porn board years ago and we had a member that was stealing porn passes and posting them somewhere else. when he was caught he said that he was trying to gain influence on the other site so that he could get some passes for feet sites. he was from syria, sometimes the only thing visible under a burkha is the wearer's feet.
