Porn actresses working in strip clubs
About 7 years ago I met a really cute dancer at Nikitas in Wellford,SC. I think she went by Tabitha at the club. Gave great private dances and the club always introduced her as a porn star. It seemed like a true story, but I could never find her on any porn sites. her porn name must have been different. She was very popular at the club, but left after a few months.

too old to club??!?!?
At 62 this is a topic that has crossed my mind. I, too, have seen many customers much older than me in the clubs from time to time. I have no doubt that most of the older regulars on TUSCL will do the same. Most of us have been doing this a long time and the clubs have certainly gotten more liberal in recent years. If that trend stopped I would probably curtail my visits, but I doubt that will change as long as the Dems. run the US and control the Supreme Court.

Getting the DJ to play the music you like.
Years ago at one of the then great Memphis clubs, Tiffany's I think, the DJ would play the 8 minute version of Purple Rain a couple of times a night. He would always announce it a song in advance so everybody in the house would get a lap dance lined up. It was a great marketing ploy and I am surprised somebody does not try it now. Other than the above, I have no use for the DJs. Clubs like Mons Venus do quite well without them, so it is certainly not a requirement for a successful operation.

I also delivered newspaper by bicycle as a teenager. I subscribe to two daily papers and read USA Today when i travel. I also read a lot of news on the internet, but prefer holding a newspaper. I will miss them if they eventually fade away.

Upscale, dive or other?
I avoid the upscale places. Too much money for too little mileage. Also, as a rule, the dancers tend to be more snobbish. I have found excellent quality dancers at many dives and mid range clubs. Also there tends to be more silicon at the upscale clubs and I don't care for that. Sure, there are more, less attractive, girls at the low end clubs, but you can usually find at least one or two that suit you. If you learn how to avoid the less attractive dancers at a dive club, all will be fine, and much more value for your money.

Very first sc visit
While in college in 1969 I went to see the featured dancer at a strip club in the Printer's Alley section of Nashville, Tn. Her name was Morganna. For those of you old enough to remember, she was famous for running out on major league sports fields and kissing a particular player during the game. She made all the papers and was probably arrested more than once. Good publicity for her strip club act. She went totally nude, which was a pleasant surprise for us. This was before the era of lap dances.

I used to enjoy the show he did with Siskel many years ago. Did not always agree with either of them, but their comments were always interesting. I have not seen Roger lately, but was sorry to hear of his death and long battle with cancer.

DECLINING QUALITY
Quality at Follies has definately been declining. Thug element also starting to show up more in the daytime. Not sure what the cause is. Will be going this Sat. and hoping to see some improvement.

Too much of a good thing is never enough
How did you discover the "extras-friendly" strip club scene
I should have added that the first real "extras" club I discovered was in Tampa. It was a small club in a remote area near the airport. I found it through the ad in an adult entertainment magazine. They had a small stage and then offered a private dance in a back room. To my pleasant surprise, everything was on the menu.

How did you discover the "extras-friendly" strip club scene
Had a very similar experience to Club_Goer. In the 80's I was in a regular strip club in Nashville. Talked to a dancer and when I inquired about more contact dances, she suggested I go to a "touch club". Her directions were bad, but I eventually found the place. It was up a long staircase in a large metal building in a remote industrial part of Nashville. The club had a large open area with strippers on a small stage. They had a small room in the back with simple wood chairs. The room was small and all of the chairs were occupied with guys getting full nude, full touch dances. That was my first exposure to extra like dances. I would soon learn to find similar clubs in other southern cities where I traveled.

Lost articles of clothing
Many years ago I was in Mons Venus when a fight broke out. At that time they allowed you to bring in liquor bottles from outside even though the club is no alcohol. WShen the fight started, bottles were flying through the air and everyone was ducking for cover. Once the fight subsided, I noticed my windbreaker jacket was missing from the back of my chair. About a half hour later I saw a dancer wearing my jacket and I asked her to give it back to me. She looked puzzled, but returned the jacket.

1k to spend 1 night
I have no information to add on Indy or Detroit clubs as I don't get to that area often. I would also add that some of you are way out of line for taking shots at the original poster. He has been a member since 2006 so he has obviously been a PAYING member all of those years. It is because of paying members like him that Founder is able to provide us with this site. If he had only been a member for a few months then, perhaps the criticism would be warranted. Since that is not the case, maybe it would be nicer to just not say anything, if you have nothing to add to the topic.

My nomination for best review by a dancer. A 21 yo single mom.
Her review was definately given for the customer's benefit. And I agree, she did a very good job, even without the paragraphs. I have never been to Oasis, and after her comments, I think I will remain a Follies customer.

I read the review earlier today and thought the same thing. Not my idea of liberal touching, to say the least.

Which came first, the drugs or the club?
I know the dancer you are referring to and would guess that she was probably a user before becoming a dancer. That is a pure guess on my part. In any case the easy money and drug availability in her club surely made the problem much worse. I had never thought much about the enableing part, but I suppose we all contribute to the habits when we go to high mileage clubs. I would assume that high mileage clubs are largely a result of drug addiced dancers. As a customer , I assume that in some way I contribute to the problem. That being said, I am a firm believer in personal responsibility and will not quit going because some of the dancers use my money to buy drugs.

Girls with bad business sense
In most clubs it is a buyer's market right now, so the dancers would be much smarter to accept a lower (resonable) price for 3 minutes work rather than go pout at the bar and play with their cell phone. As FarmerArt pointed out, the comodity they are selling (lap ances) is a diminishing asset. I think (from my Econ 101 many years ago) that the correct term for this is "lost opportunity cost". Obviously, not many dancers took Econ. 101, but there are a lot of other businessmen with limited educations that fully grasp the concept. This is why Priceline can sell $200 hotel rooms for $75. They realize that if the room goes unsold, they have missed out on an extra $75 in revenue.

What part of NO do you not understand?
I think sometimes the less desirable dancers are self conscious about being rejected so often and they develop a very thick skin. I much prefer a club like Mons Venus or Follies where the girls have the since to move on if you indicate that you have no interest in their company. Once, after a similar confrontation, at a Myrtle Beach club I had a dancer start screaming after I told her (politely) she was not my type. I should have just told her I don't want dances from someone fatter than me. I was tring to be polite, but she went ballistic anyway. Even after she finally left, I decided to leave the club, as I had lost any interest in staying.

Cutting down hotel costs...
I don't do the OTC thing, but I do work for myself and travel a lot. I am in a motel room about 150 nights a year . Like staxwell said the Red Roof is a very clean place at a cheap price. I stay in them over half of the time and they are usually always clean and well kept. They don't have swimming pools so you don't have as many kids running loose in the halls. They tend to attract construction workers and self employed business men who are looking for a clean, quiet place to stay at a cheap price. Priceline will get you a better room at a cheap price, but you are locked in once you reserve it, so I doubt it would work for OTC visits.

Nancy Grace
I can't stand Nancy Grace's style, but I will occasionally watch as the topic is usually interesting. She does tend to spend a lot of time on certain cases, but obviously those cases draw ratings, so you can't blame the producers for going that route. It becomes very repetitive, but if you only watch once in a while, not so bad. Definately do not find her the least bit attractive. Larry King was such a soft ball interviewer that I almost never watched him. His successor, Piers Morgan, is often annoying, but at least he asks the tough questions that Larry never would
