When I first visited Platinum plus in Columbia,SC. several years ago, most dancers offered 2 for $20 lap dances. At effectively $10 per dance the lapdance room was always full and the dancers were making very good money. For some reason, about a year ago, they raised the prices to $20-$40 each. Ever since, the club has seen a distinct drop off in business. Also the quality of dancer has declined since the dancers don't make near as much money as before. Hopefully they will realize the foolishness of the price increase. At Follies in Atlanta, the dances are still $10 and the place is always full. The attractive dancers at Follies can do as many dances as they want since the demand is always there. At any given time in the club there are 10 or more girls giving lap dances. Simple ecomomics 101.

I think two factors will make this happen sooner rather than later. First, the Democrats will win every national election for the forseeable future because they have bought the majority of voters. And the Dems tend to go easy on regulating human behavior. I think drug laws and sex laws will get favorable treatment from a Supreme court that will soon lean far left. Second, the economic pressure that cities like Detroit now face will force the legalization and taxation of activities like prostitution. We have already seen this happen with the widespread expansion of gambling during the last few years. And since church membership is rapidly declining the vocal opposition from that group will also subside. Hope I live long eough to enjoy the benefits of legalized prostitution. I can only imagine how wild the strip clubs might become.

I take meds for prostate enlargement and have recently started having some retrograde ejaculation. It does not happen all the time. Urologist said it was a side effect of the meds. Was also told that it is very common result of prostate reduction surgery which I have avoided for years.

Just returned from a visit to Heartbreakers in Columbia.

I have visited several clubs with different TUSCLers. It was always a good experience since everyone is there with a common plan. I have also visited clubs with a few non TUSCL friends and at times that was an awkward experience. I have always found that the other TUSCL members have helpful info on dancers, other clubs, etc. They also help to pass the dead time when the club is dead or you are forced to look at an unattractive dancer on stage. I used to go to clubs alone, but now find my trips with other TUSCLers are a much better experience. I have never felt compromised by these other people who are there for a common reason and respect each others time and space.

I am going to Myrtle Beach tomorrow on business. Fantails has always been the best place in MB for extras. The girl who was arrested looks a lot better than most of the dancers I have seen at Fantails over the years. Since the article states that she is still in jail, I doubt I will stop by.

I am convinced it is an addiction. And I think most of us who use this site regularly are sex addicts, if we are honest with ourselves. That being said, I don't think it is necessarily a bad thing if we realize it and it does not (too) adversely affect our lives. If you are stealing to support the habit or are neglecting your job to go to clubs, then you definately have a problem. In the case of most of the older guys on this site, I think we just like to fondle(and more) girls who are 30 or 40 years younger than we are. Is it a problem that we are turned on by 20 year olds? I don't think so, but the answer to that question is above my pay grade. Since Shadowcat's original question was really about the tolerance level you develop(as opposed to sex addiction) I will answer that as well. Years ago I used to get an erection just walking in the door or a strip club. Sometimes, even in the parking lot, based on my anticipation of a good time inside. Now I can walk into a fully nude club with 4 dancers nude on stage and it has little effect on me. I enjoy watching the dancers from my seat, but will not get aroused until I get a cute dancer on my lap letting me fondle her and having her play with Jr. So, in my case, I have become jaded to just the nudity in a club. It is just like when as a kid you could get aroused with a copy of National Geographic, but now it takes very hard core internet porn. Shadowcat's intent was to point out this tolerance level and see if it affects others in a similar way.

Great series. I think Miami was a slightly better team, but SA gave them the series in the last 30 seconds of game 6. LBJ was by far the best player on the court. I am not a huge fan of his, but for the most part he carries himself well. Much better role model than a lot of the other jerks in the NBA and NFL.

Based on the poll results along with the article, she is not the only one who approves of the clubs. 57% were in favor of leaving the adult establishments. I think that the poll just shows that more and more people (especially younger ones) want the government out of people's private lives. If the Republican Party would just take note of this shift, they might have a chance of winning another National election. Otherwise, they will continue to lose by incresing margins every 4 years.

Since I know who your "7" is and I know the club you are referring to I would use plan "B" as my standard MO, but take on the OTC once in a while to break up the routine. That way you can have your cake and eat it, too.

I would be very careful. If you cannot get straight answers I would move on. Not worth the risk, in my opinion.

One clue. Every time I have seen him he was wearing a strip club related t shirt and shorts. Maybe that will help with the presumed image.

I have always preferred cats, but have had both and love all animals. They are all capable of unconditional love. All you have to do is feed them and provide vet care. I prefer cats because they require a lot less maintenance. All the cats I have had let you know when they want to go outside and do their business. Like others have said, dogs will do it anywhere and I don't like stepping in it. Thanks, Motorhead, for the topic. I actually thought the same thing when I read GSB's original post about his dog's snake bite.

Glad your dog is recoveing. Kudos to you for getting him prompt medical care. His unconditional love is certainly something you will not find in a strip club.

Only downside is that the clubs in this area are not very good to begin with. Most of them have been there since the 70's and are considered part of the landscape by most Atlanta residents. Several years ago the same government officials tried to get a landmark drive in restaurant in the same area as the clubs to give up one of the entrances it had used since the 60's. It was a stupid use of govt. power and the restaurant (Varsity,Jr.) said no, it would close up before doing that. The city would not budge and the place shut their doors. It was one of the busiest places in the area. The city lost a lot of tax revenue, residents lost a great place to eat, and the building is now an ugly eyesore. Maybe some of those residents who were so anxious to evict the strip club should have spent their energy to save their landmark eating place. I am sure they are not pleased with the way it looks now.

Seems like a lot to me, but I suspect there are many on TUSCL who would have a significantly higher figure. Obviously it depends largely on one's disposable income. By the way, this has got to be your shortest post ever. Are you feeling ok?
