Weekday or Weekend Warrior
I don't have a preference, but will go when the best dancers are on duty. This obviously varies by club. My favorite in Atlanta, Follies, has the best looking dancers during the day shift. Most clubs have the "A" team on nights, especially weekend nights.

waiting in line
I would not wait in line to get in a strip club. there are plenty of good clubs without a line. Besides if the crowd was that large, the dancers would have less incentive to give good dancers.

Anyone here understand/use Bitcoins?
I have read several articles on them in Wall St. Jrnl. and sttll have no clue why anybody would invest in them. I also had dial up until last year and that probably explains why I don't get it.

Extras For Every Guy?....Or Just For The Few?
I had a Canadian friend bring me some Tim Hortan's coffee last year. It was very good coffee.

Extras girls don't see themselves as whores
I was in a exrtas friendly club once and a fight broke out between two of the dancers. One of the dancers started screming that the other one had called her a whore. The one screaming that, was one who freely offered full service to anyone willing to pay. I thought it was funny, but the club girls generally don't think of themselves as prostitutes, even though they readily provide all types of sex for money. I would call it denial or living in a fantasy world.

What did 50 Cent do when he got hungry? 58.
Do extra's guys consider themselves John's?
John, client, whatever. If you are paying for sexual favors you are a john and committing an illegal act in the eyes of the law. Whether or not sex for money should be legal or not is certainly open for discussion. I suspect in a few years, after the marijuana issue is settled, we can expect a loosening of prostitution laws. If you go to clubs and get only air dances then you would not be a john. However, I think the majority of TUSCL members go to clubs or massage parlors with the hope and even expectation of some extras for which they are willing to pay.

Ever been woken up by an Earthquake?
Not sure where you are posting from, but I was on the phone with a friend in South Carolina (near Spartanburg) tonight and he said he just felt an earthquake. I did not realize they happened in this area. I am planning to go up there tomorrow so I hope it is a one time thing.

Out of Phoenix
I travel for business so it is not an issue for me. I live in Atlanta which used to be known for air dances. Fortunately, that has now changed, but in the past I would do my clubbing on the road. If you move to a low mileage city, you will just have to arrange for road trips to a more friendly city. My good friend Shadowcat used to drive 200 miles to Columbia, SC each month when Atlanta did not offer any decent clubs. I am sure you can find a good club within a reasonable driving distance of your new town.

Heartbreakers in Columbia SC finally closing.
Based on my observation of the area, it will take a lot more than the closing of Heartbreakers to improve Bush River road area.

I also loved Animal House, probably my most favorite comedy ever. My favorite Belushi SNL skit was when Walter Mathau was the "master bee" and Belushi and the other bees were caught "buzzing off". Classic SNL writing and acting.

If you had $100,000
I just bought a new car, but would probably replace my 7 year old work van. Maybe blow a little at casino or strip club. Then invest the rest in dividend paying stocks to help support me in my rapidly approaching retirement years.

Reply to Art - re: Reading
Have to say it is refreshing to see a thread like this one. I don't read alot of books, but enjoyed the discussion. Certainly a lot more refreshing than the petty name calling that usually fills the discussion board, And yes, TD, I would be interested in Buffet's latest purchase. One of his more recent ones was Devita which I had purchased before his accumulation became public knowledge.

Do you have Pets?
I have one cat that showed up about 14 years ago. I have had dogs and they are way more trouble. It is true that most cats are affectionate on their own terms. All pet animals provide unconditional love.

RIP: Tom Laughlin (Billy Jack)
I,too, was in college when "Billy Jack" was released. If you were not an adult at that time the movie would probably not make much sense. It and "Easy Rider" were symbolic of the late 60's American scene. The song from "Billy Jack" was "One Tin Soldier" and it became an anthem of sorts for many students, me included. I am vaguely familiar with "Born Losers" but did not realize the connection with BJ. Thanks for that bit of trivia.

Success on Getting Extras
I think most guys that have gone to strip clubs for many years, expect extras and visit clubs known to offer them. I, like the author, would never intentially go to an air dance club anymore. I could actually have more fun looking at bikini clad girls on the beach, than in an air dance club with nude girls. I have just become too jaded to enjoy a "no touch" club.

And the beat goes on. And this bitch only worked 4 months.
This is certainly coming to most clubs. If they haven't been sued yet, they will be. This is a windfall for any lawyer smart enough to get one of these cases. Almost all strip clubs have operated this way for years and until recently no one has called their bluff. I can't remember seeing a case of this sort that a club ever won. They will all have to start treating the dancers as employees and we, the customers, will be the ones footing the bill. I think it will result in the closure of a lot of clubs. Can you imagine the settlement costs involved for the large Las Vegas clubs. If they have to pay back wages to more than 200 girls who have worked at these clubs for many years, the tab will be enormous.

Mons Venus - OTC experience
I used to visit Mons Venus a lot in the 90's and it was a very fun atmosphere, especially on weekend nights. It is certainly a place to go to at least once in your life. After having been to a lot more clubs since then I would compare Mons to a McDonalds. The dances are good value with a cute girl, but very mechanical. There is very little need for the dancers to even pretend to be enjoying themselves. They make a lot of money without having to provide a great customer experience. Yes they are nude and you can touch most everywhere, but I have since realized that you can get far more sensual and exciting dances at a more down to earth club. I have no idea on OTC, but I suspect most of the girls make plenty without having to deal with the OTC problems. I suspect it would be very expensive and would probably not live up to your expectations.

Tell Me to Go
All of the moderation advice is very good. I do not have the money to make a lot of extravagant visits to strip clubs, but I go at least once a month. I rarely spend over $100 and thoroughly enjoy most of my visits. I do not spend on alcohol so I can use the money on lapdances. Rarely do a VIP but at my local club (Follies) the lap dances are better than a lot of VIPs elsewhere. Spend wisely and you should be able to have a fun experience. You will not have as much fun as a highroller like Farmerart, but neither will most of the other customers.

OT: Alabama/Auburn
Two weeks in a row Auburn has won on a fluke play. Last week it was the unbatted down pass that led to a last second victory against Georgia. Seems to be their year. Great game, though I think Alabama wins that game 3 out of 4 times, if they play it 4 times.

How Do You Respond To "I Get My Tip In Advance"?
I don't think the answer to this is as clear as most think. I agree that it is never wise to give an actual tip, prior to receiving the service. However, in some VIPs the tip may be more or less a fee for extra service. This is why TUSCL is so valuable, you can learn how the VIP rooms in various states operate. So the $120 quoted for 6 private dances may be for 6 air dances. It may be understood at this particular club that any extras will require extra payment in advance. They can call it a tip or whatever they want, but if you expect something more than 6 air dances you will probably have to prepay. I think if this happened in a club I was unfamiliar with I would ask the dancer what the additional $100 was going to lead to. In most of the clubs I go to, I know what level of service is going to be provided before going to a VIP. If all of the dancers at the club in this discussion require a tip for extra service, I think you are going to have to pay the additional fee whether it is called a tip or not. Bottom line, read TUSCL, so you will know what to expect before going to a new club.

Idea for Turner Field in 2017!
The primary reason for the Braves move is so that they can own the stadium. Turner Field is not owned by the Atlanta Braves organization so they miss out on parking and other revenue sources. There were probably better sites available, but they probably got a good deal from the Cobb county govt., site of the new stadium. Traffic will probably be just as bad if not worse at the new location, but it is closer to most of their season ticket holders. Unfortunately the new site is not accesible from the MARTA rapid transit system. Turner Field would be a good site for Follies. There would be no more problem with the seating and parking issues that plague the club now. LOL

Tired of easy extras?
Don't think so. I think most of us go to "easy extras" cubs for that very reason. If we didn't want to pay for the easy, sure access I suspect many of us would go to a regular club and join the hunt there. At my age, 63, that would not be a pretty site, so I will stick to high mileage, easy extras strip clubs.

What song would you play for hours straight if you could?
As I have mentioned on this site several times, the old Danny's club in Memphis used to play "Purple Rain" about once an hour. Since it was a full 8 minutes long everyone would get a dance from their favorite girl. Not sure if it is because of the good memories of this song, but I believe I could enjoy it being played over and over in a strip club.

How to score points with strippers.
In addition to sometimes giving them out to dancers, Shadowcat always wears one of those quirky T shirts. On the days I have joined him, a large number of dancers always stop by to see what shirt he chose for that day. It works as a magnet to draw dancers to the table. Prety good and effective tool.
