GACAclub is absolutely right on.
I know lots of middle class people (like me) who hate that the gap between rich and poor has grown so enormous. I think the CEO-to-peon pay ratio is now 273-1, and a lot of those suits don't do anything but move pieces around the chess board and collect their bonuses. The richest .0001% of Americans have more wealth than the bottom 50% -- don't tell me they "earned" it in any traditional sense of that word.

There's at least as much interesting shit to do in Los Angeles as in the other places you mention, and clubs in the City of Industry and Tropical Lei in Upland have excellent mileage.

At a couple of clubs I'm familiar with, a good-looking would-be dancer is invited to dance on stage right around opening time, when there are few custies. If the manager likes what he sees, she's hired. "Hired" means scheduled for one shift, and then it's day by day or week by week, and they can give her the axe any time they like.

Shorts are absolutely fine at almost all clubs. If they won't let you in with shorts, fuck 'em, go somewhere else. Basketball shorts and a t-shirt are not an unusual ensemble, but flip-flops are a mistake with drunks and high-heeled dancers (sometimes drunk high-heeled dancers) stumbling around in the dark.

Yep, HiLiter and Blue Moon, without doubt.
I recommend being very up-front with your chosen dancer about the mileage you're looking for. In these two clubs, the dancers have heard it all before, probably that same day, and even the clean dancers are well aware of what goes on. At the HL, I have had more than one dancer who wouldn't blow me accept a finder's fee for bringing me someone who would.

Running marathons doesn't mean being an elite athlete. Some people "run" them in 8 hours, and that certainly includes smokers. So if you think it was bullshit because of the smoking, you're probably wrong. On the other hand, it was probably bullshit, period.

I live in, hang out in, and visit fairly nice areas. I prefer clean and safe. There are many more problems in poorer areas, because they're poorer, not because they're blacker.
