Heartbreakers in Compton: An overview

Heartbreakers Gentleman's Club, which lists its address as Compton, is actually at a place called Twelve Mile Corner. As this location is literally in the middle of no-where, it is easy to understand why they would list themselves in even a podunk town like Compton. Once upon a time, back before Interstate 39 was built to take over the function of carrying US 51 through this part of northern Illinois, Twelve Mile Corner was a major intersection, and the building that now houses Heartbreakers was a major eatery. Time and traffic patterns change, and after the travel trade dried up, and the eatery died off, Heartbreakers took the site over and did what it could to adapt the existing structure…
