strip clubs and casinos in the same town?

Ohio
Recently here in Ohio, a vote went down and the outcome is that now casinos are allowed to open in Ohio. Of course it will be regulated at first so only 1 casino per town (Toledo, Columbus, Cleveland) can open. Just wondering if any other states have gone through this voting that allows casinos to open up and if it has any affect on SC business? Does this usually motivate SCs to improve in order to compete or does it hurt their business and cause them to cut back and increase prices even more? (right now LD price in Col is $25-40) Or perhaps casinos have no noticeable effect whatsoever?

So does this mean Columbus is going to be the Vegas of the Mid-west?
Ever patronize the Winking Lizard Tavern on north High St.?
here in columbus, the lone casino is supposed to be built downtown. my guess is that it will have virtually no affect on strip clubs since to the best of my knowledge, none are nearby.
Dan, I've always wondered why casinos don't offer day care services for parents to drop off their kids at. Are they afraid the parent(s) may give up too much money and then leave the child?
I suspect casinos might help the strip club scene in Ohio--as the pols see money coming in, they'll become less interested in petty things like harassing strip clubs. At least I hope so. And with more "party" money floating around (I'm making a distinction between "party" money and "serious gamblimg money"), we might see more clubs opening once the economy turns the corner.
