I'd make the drive. Depending on the part of the country, I could get a hotel room with the price difference between two dances - and it's fairly safe to assume that one wouldn't drive that far for just two.

At least in my HBG experience, my favorite dancers have been older: and if 30 is the cutoff, then I can say that about dancers in general. I've run into quite a few dancers who were in their 30s and didn't look it at all (but then again, I'm 39 and the bouncer looked at my ID really hard before letting me in). One of my favorite dancers at what I guess is now my local spot is the same age I am, and one of the others actually looks older. IME they tend to get down to business, like the OP and HungryGiraffe said.

I look at it a little differently. For me: the quicker the LDK happens, the larger the tip. If I'm paying more in dances, paying a larger tip on top of (or especially 'because') I got more dances is hustling backwards. She doesn't get credit for my control when it's her job to make me lose it.

1) Don't drink, unless you 'have to'. I don't drink, so this is easy for me to say.
2) Keep moving, or at least standing. I move around a lot for two reasons: 1) to see everyone and everything I can, and 2) to not be a sitting duck. This works especially well if you prefer to approach dancers: you can just pick out the ones you like later.
3) Be downright picky when it comes to girls you want.
4) This one I'm just starting to use the willpower to employ: only give a girl one song to impress you, and don't get a second unless the first really convinces you to.
5) When someone comes up and you don't want a dance at the moment, say you're waiting for someone. If she asks who, point to the stage. It helps if you're telling the truth (or are a good liar).
I went yesterday to a $20 spot. Six girls. One I wasn't interested in at all. One girl stood out above the rest. Got one dance from each of the other four, got 3 from the one I really liked before the club closed. Pretty good time, spent less than what I budgeted for...and now I have surplus for an extra trip if I choose.
I'm not an expert or anything, but it works for me right now.

^ You can indeed find it via Google. I did, and I went on Saturday (was in town on business). It was indeed in the hood. All black customers and all black dancers. Dancers weren't too interested in making money. Most of them were on their phones all night. Prices were as advertised on the website. If you're in Baltimore and not easily scared, it might be worth trying out.

Refused to buy a bottle of water quickly enough for the manager. There were no girls worth anything in there anyway, so I didn't put up a fuss. That was about six months ago. Went back Saturday for the first time since.

The place I used to go to several years ago did this (10 percent). It prompted me to make trips to the bank so I'd have whatever change I needed.

Tootsies has decent food. It's not great, but it'll do in a pinch. I don't have an issue eating there - probably will Saturday.
One place that has surprisingly good food is Follies. First time I tried it, I was in a "may as well" kind of mood. I've had it pretty much every time since then. It helps break up my visits between early afternoon and late afternoon. Also gives me another reason to not fight Atlanta traffic.

Depends on when you go to Scarlett's. It goes up to 20 as the evening goes on. I think the 20 cover starts at 12, but I'm not sure on that.

I just knew I was going to put Follies barely over Tootsies, but once you take money out of it I have to give Tootsies the advantage. I like LDs, so the limited couch space at Follies puts it a step behind.

There are a couple of Asian girls at Tootsies. If you catch Candice on a good day, you'll be happy. If not, she'll try to nickel and dime you to death.

Doesn't happen to me much anymore, but I think that's because I've started to tell them I'm waiting for someone (although sometimes the girl I'm waiting for may not know it) more often than I tell them no. They seem to accept that, although one girl at Tootsies tried to wait with me.
I don't remember ever telling a girl she straight up wasn't attractive. I've walked away, though.

I can't say I adjust for age. If she's attractive, she's attractive. I can think of a few women who are 45+ that no 20-year-old can hold a candle to, IMO.

I've gone to plenty of white clubs and I've actually only heard "Girls, Girls, Girls" twice. Same day, consecutive clubs. I have to agree with "Get Ready For This" since a few clubs use it to introduce the girls and have them walk through the club. One song I think is underrated in this regard is "Photograph". Almost lost it the one time I heard it at Baby Dolls. Tootsies has even started playing Snoop Dogg's "Ain't No Fun" with surprising regularity.
As far as songs from personal experience, hmm..."She Will" by Lil Wayne and Drake, "Fresh From Head 2 Toe" by Billy Blue (best LD ever was from that song), "Turn On The Lights" by Future, "Panda" by Desiigner (Follies girls tend to get excited when that song is on), and I guess "Trap Queen" by Fetty Wap (also Follies influenced).
All that said, an all time HOF list would have to lean more toward 80s rock - at least an inaugural class.
