That's a stupid rule, especially when it's two-fer time. I do often skip the first dancer if it seems there are plenty of girls, but I don't make it a hard rule. In this particular case, you definitely gave the girl the impression you weren't going to buy any dances from her.

I started a discussion on this topic a while back too. The terminology does tend to be confusing. In Detroit, we mostly just have semi-private booths, although a few places still have a large communal room where you can see the other customers getting BJs, which I find a bit creepy. In Toledo, you can find "champagne rooms," sometimes confusingly called VIP, which have a couch, table, TV, etc, and you pay by the hour. This confusion can be a problem for those of us who travel, read the tuscl reviews, and find that "VIP" in Atlanta or Dallas is not the same as what we call "VIP" here.

I've only had this happen with airport cabs, who tend to be stuck-up assholes. Most places post the phone number of the local cab board somewhere in the back seat, and threatening to report the driver will usually do the trick. If this happens, he gets a dime tip (just to make sure he knows I stiffed him on purpose and didn't just forget). At many airports it used to be possible to grab a non-airport cab at departures. Most drivers are willing to do this because otherwise they have to deadhead back. I have not had much luck with this lately, at least in the US.

Doesn't the FAQ say something about making them long and interesting? I try to be fairly wordy but divide into paragraphs so if you don't want to read about the physical layout of the club (for example) you can just skip that part.
