Your Favourite Club - What Makes It Special?
I see that the farmerart support group is alive and well right now! My favorite club has always been the one where I knew the most dancers. I like walking in and knowing that "everybody knows your name." (I've fantasized in the past the the setting for "Cheers" was in a strip club, not just a bar.) However, I also just realized that in the last three places I've lived, my favorite club was also the closest to home, or one of the three closest. So, for me geography has entered the equation.

    Sunday / Monday Night
I do most of my clubbing when my favorite dancers are working. When they work Sunday nights, I usually find that a good night. Like Samsung, I prefer the less crowded nights and usually avoid Friday and Saturday nights when I can. If a fave works on a Monday night, I'll go, but Mondays are the slowest nights of the week. I find there's usually no one else at that club on Monday's besides my fave. Sometimes, you're limited as to when you can go clubbing, such as while travelling. On those occasions you just have to take what you can get, even if they are Sunday or Monday nights

    2012 US Election
Certainly is weird weather here now in Seattle. It's in the low 80's in the daytime. Virtually a summer free of rain, and leaves are already turning for the beautiful fall folliage we have here. It must be having an effect on us club-goers. I've had some great success in a couple of the local clubs lately!

annoying or not... use of the word "boobies" by a dancer
"Boobies" is probably the least offensive, least vulgar term in the vernacular to substitute for "breasts." As a skilled and seasoned boobologist, I find that dancers use that term, much more so than "boobs" or "tits" (knockers, hooters, funbags, etc.). It's just their way of being a little more civil when discussing specific body parts. I wouldn't think much of it. If you're a boob connoisseur, how they use their boobage, rather than how they talk about it(them) is what should matter to you.

    The Other Extra.
@ jeriksen: You're a more skilled, seasoned, and knowledgable boobologist than I am ! @ pablo: Those of us who appreaciate a good TF will gladly enjoy one in the club. As for the mess, dancers are used to dealing with messes. Many dancers carry baby wipes with them, just to wipe themselves down after a regular lap dance, even when no mess is involved.

@ motorhead: That's a great list. I especially appreciated the Al Kaline requirement! (I just love it when two or more interests of mine are used in discussions. In this case, baseball and strip clubs.) You hit it out of the park with that list!

See my four-part series on Annoying Strip Club Practices, beginning with Part 1: “Wanna Buy the Lady a Drink?” https://www.tuscl.net/postread.php?PID=15589 (posted 5/22/2011) @ papi_chulo and others: The subject of bad disc jockeys was very well addressed by the Strip Club Hound. See: http://stripclubhound.blogspot.com/ Enter the phrase "annoying disc jockey" in the search bar at the upper left. It should take you to story entitled, "Disc Jockeys" posted on Wednesday, October 27, 2010. @ rickdugan: Great list. I've seldom had to encounter your #7 (club-wide tip walks), but I find it extremely annoying when dancers ask for tips, especially the practice of them walking the floor after every stage appearance asking for tips. A tip should be voluntary. That practice makes it mandatory.

    The Other Extra.
I'm with Jackslash. I find TF, also known as "Russian," very enjoyable. In the clubs I have had available to me in the past several years, below the waist extras were much more easily found. This is for the simple reason that with the type of lap dance booths in the Seattle clubs, any boobular extras are more difficult to hide from the eyes of roving managers who patrol the lap dances booths. I knew one dancer who was famous for offering cheap prices for FS, but she was leery about flashing her big, natural boobs and then letting customers touch them, much less fuck them. (Clubs here require dancers to keep all clothes on during lap dances.) That dancer is now a seasoned escort in the Puget Sound Region.

Are Fewer Dancers Working in Your Area Than in Prior Years?
@ minnow: Correct. The numbers are the complete roster for the club. The clubs list each dancer by name, and they update those lists sporadically. I simply count the total number of dancers each time I see that the list is updated. We definitely have two schools of thought going on about my question: 1. In some areas of the country members feel that there are more dancers now due to the down economy. 2. Others feel as I do. Here in Seattle, I don't think customers are spending nearly as much in strip clubs as they did a few years ago. Hence, there are fewer dancers now, in response to the lower demand level. However, no clubs have closed due to poor performance, although I can name three here that should. The only clubs that have closed in recent years were due to LE action.

Are strip club billboards banned in your area?
I'm originally from the San Fernando Valley, where Xposed is located. Knowing the L.A. geography, it seems to me that Xposed is creating more of a problem for itself, than it is solving. The article mentions other locations in L.A. such as West L.A. and Venice where the billboards are located. These areas have to be well outside of the market area for the club. The L.A. metropolitan area has over 100 strip clubs. I'd more tend to think that someone seeing a billboard on the west side for Xposed, would more likely go to a more convenient club. There's horrendous traffic between the west side of L.A. and the west San Fernando Valley where Xposed is located. I can't imagine that the owner of Xposed thinks he/she can create a regional attraction. If anyone was going to drive a distance in L.A. to go to a club, they'd likely choose one of the six Spearmint Rhino clubs in the region. Those more knowledgable about strip clubs would go to the city of Industry, or areas where there are clubs with more ethnic emphasis.

    Strippers aren't all prostitutes
A 22-yr.old dancer I knew once felt she was successfully hiding her stripping career from her parents. She worked the day shift, and told her parents she was working in a medical office. She almost blew her cover (pun intended) one day when doing laundry at home. One her way from the dryer to her bedroom she noticed something fell out of the laundry basket, but couldn't immediately see what it was. She was glad she noticed and went back to pick it up. It was a dainty red thong, which she said her mother would have known wasn't her usual underwear.

One of the Greatest Reviews Ever
I concur. That was a terrific review! As usual, I had to pull out my dictionary to read it (an automatic habit when I see a farmerart post). I'm farmerart-conscious enough by now to realize that the worse the experience is that he has about something, the more entertaining the review of it is !!!

If all Strippers were fat would you continue to patronize Strip Clubs?
I concur with Shadowcat and Stiletto. Here in Seattle, I thought it was just a prior group of now-defunct clubs that hired any girl that walksed into their office asking for a job. Since that group of four clubs closed two years ago, I've been around to the others a lot more, and I have the same impression of them as well. It just seems that the quality of girls working as dancers in the Puget Sound Region, in general, has gone way down over the past several years.

I'm with Rod and Alucard on this subject. When a dancer first approaches me, I'm very likely to engage her in a cuddling session before we go off to the VIP.

Dancers pissing you off? Close the Club!
As a customer I've certainly had my share of bad experiences and said to myself, "This club really shouldn't be allowed to operate anymore," and then dreamed of ways I might devise to assist in that effort. I have never heard of a club owner thinking the same thing, and taking the action he did. I've certainly seen clubs close, and new businesses open in that location, but they were all with a different owner (even if a subsequent strip club went into the same location).

How would you rate this lap dance?
It's difficult to rate a dancer, a club, or a city based on just one video of one dancer giving a dance. But, my thoughts: 1. @ TT: Good comment! As you know I'm intimately familiar with Deja Vu clubs, having that chain for most of my local club choices. 2. Even as lame as Seattle strip clubs are, this dance would rate poorly here. There's only one-way touching, and too much of the time is spent air dancing. Much better than what is shown in the video is available in the Puget Sound Region. The only advantage of the dance in the video is that the dancer is able to go topless. Here, they must keep their clothes on, but many dancers get away with flashing.

Which club to take hubby in Atlanta?
I see your new to TUSCL. Welcome to the group! There are several couples members that can advise you. The best known of these is m00tpoint. See: https://www.tuscl.net/u.php?UID=232689 Mrs. m00t seems to do most of their writing. Although they're in the Chicago area, they can advise you on etiquette, tactics, etc.

    Stripper Judgment
I only once did I ever see a club call the cops. It wasn't over something a dancer did while with a customer. A dancer threw a temper tantrum after she got off stage, and no one in the building could subdue her, so the owner called the cops. I stopped counting after 20 cops entered the club. Later, I saw that dancer being loaded into an ambulance in the parking lot. Apparaently she was under the influence of something.

    What is a Review?
Jackson, A lot of what you're suggesting be included in reviews could be accommodated by additional check boxes within the current system. There have been several threads on how readers would like to see TUSCL improved, however, I have yet to see Founder make any changes due to reader requests. Around the time I joined, there was a "club discussion" button to use for club comments that aren't full reviews, but that was removed around mid-2011. Also, what Dougster is pointing out is that not everyone is interested in the level of detail you are suggesting be included in club reviews. Some readers just want to know which dancers do what, and for how much, and they're not concerned with ambiance, head counts, parking, etc. When I first jointed TUSCL, I had the impression that Founder actually reads the reviews and would be looking for certain points to be covered. Obviously, that's not the case. Some very short reviews get posted.

Which Club in USA has most strippers at a shift?
I have been told while at Spearmint Rhino and Sapphire in Las Vegas, that over 300 dancers are on shift. A manager at Sapphire that said that over 1,000 dancers work at Sapphire, as he was looking up the name of one of them at my request.

to buy her a drink or not ?
There is another circumstance also, where the clubs are nonalcoholic. All of Washington state is like that. Still, the Deja Vu clubs, and one other in the Puget Sound Region have the "Wanna buy the lady a drink?" procedure. All my faves know and understand that I'd rather spend my money on dances, not drinks. Besides, the dancers can get free drinks whenever they want. So, it's pretty much a scam, except that the money spent on ladies' drinks does go toward reducing the house fee for the dancers. Sometimes, I'll take advantage of the procedure, just to get some conversation time with a dancer, whom I'm unsure of whether or not I want to invest in for dances.
