    Great Day or Late Day
Slick, You asked for several L.A. members to comment. I'm much, much older than you, and I have a different response for you than what you're probably expecting. The Charles Manson case of late 1960's was my "Richard Ramirez," as being a totally senseless crime, that shocked the L.A. metropolitan area. It probably had a great effect on me, at the time, but certainly not to the degree that the Ramirez case has had on you. Although, not as many murders were involved, his general life style, and how he freely promoted a violent way of life still angers me. Every few years, his name comes up in the news, as it did recently, when another parole opportunity for him arises. I always say (and the California juicial system seems to agree with me), "Let him rot in jail." Now that I live in Washington state, the Gary Ridgway murders (Green River Killer) of the 1980's and '90's (at least 49 deaths) still haunt this region; news of possible victims' identities still surfaces from time to time.

    Advice on Extras?
As others have stated, just ask. The worst that can happened is you'll get slapped by a dancer and be ask to leave the club. Then, on you're way out, you can scream, "I've been kicked out of better clubs than this!"

Rick's Cabaret International, Inc. completes acquisition of topless nightclub in
I left L.A. in 2006, but my knowledge of that area is that it was rather marginal. I wouldn't think the Rick's Cabaret Internation company would find that location attractive. I've never been to any of their clubs, but I sense they're upscale operations. This location is surrounded by Gardena, Compton, Lakewood, and Carson. From looking at an aerial photo, it's defiitely in an industrial area, which is the current trend in siting strip clubs (not the clubs' choice, though), in contemporay adult entertainment zoning practices. Maybe its close proximity to the beach cities is appealing to Rick's.

    Dancer Drinks ?
I concur. It's a shitty way of doing business, but in my experience most all clubs have a "lady's drink" procedure of some kind. Reasons for this are explained in my thread: "Annoying Strip Club Practices – Part 1: “Wanna Buy the Lady a Drink?” Posted May 22, 2011. https://www.tuscl.net/postread.php?PID=15589 I rarely buy ladies drinks. The dancers I know know that I'd prefer to spend my money on dances, and they're okay with it. Many have said they prefer that. However in my experience the cost is usually $10. The Puget Sound Region Deja Vu clubs do that, but also have the option of buying the dancer a $20. drink.

Indiana Pacers Star Lance Stephenson -- Strip Club LOW Baller after Miami Heat L
So, after admission, drinks, ladies drinks, maybe tips to bouncers, and two laps dances, how does one spend the balance of $1,100.? Making rain to the tune of several hundred dollars?

    Pole Work (or lack thereof)
Like GSV said. I feel the same. If dancers use it effectively, it adds to the overall enjoyment. I like a sensous, sexy, teasing-style stage performance. If a dancer can work pole tricks into that, it gives them one more element to work with. I particularly like it when a boobulous dancer tittyfucks the pole!

Art, I immediately noticed the misspelling, but I wasn't going to call it out. Considering your outstanding contributions, you're certainly entitled to a little spelling error--but don't let it happen again!

Who's the biggest Titty Hound of us all?
@ Slick: For your viewing pleasure: From "Boob Cruise" 2000 http://blog.scoreland.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/GroupBoobCruise1624_2000.jpg I met this porn actress, Europe DiChan, in 2007 in Las Vegas, at Cheetahs. I believe she still dances there. It appears she's in the photo above. Look along the left side, wearing the same cap. http://blog.scoreland.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/EuropediChan08.jpg There's a lot of silicone in the main photo, but Europe DiChan is quite natural. I made the empirical test myself when I met her.

Who's the biggest Titty Hound of us all?
@ mmdv26: It's funny you should use the word "Boobieland." With a slightly different spelling I had a thought once that a well-placed strip club across the street from Disneyland, could be named "Boobyland." What the heck? Anaheim already has eight strip clubs. It could even have a mascot--"Topless Tinkerbell."

    Free Dance
I have had a few different dancers give me free dances. Some for some of the same reasons others stated above. Some were just to show they appreciated my business. I've also been giving reduced rates on dances for the same reasons, such as $20./dance where in a VIP room, the charge is supposed to be $30. But, as Dandy mentioned, generally, a dancer has to have had a successfull night to do that.

Does exotic dancing not pay as well as it did 10 or 15 years ago?
I don't know about 10 or 15 years ago, but in the past five years, I'd say yes. I know several dancers who aren't making what they did before the recession. Here in Seattle that would be about prior to the spring of 2008. Also, I've mentioned before and as others have alluded to above. On-line adult entertainment has grown tremendously in recent years and now appears to have cut into discretionary spending on strip clubs: 1. Porn - much of it for free 2. Web cams 3. Escort Services. Some former dancers are now doing the latter two here in Seattle. Also, fewer dancers are employed at Puget Sound Region strip clubs now, than just two years ago--indicating less demand for strip club entertainment here.

@ SuperDude: Same here in Seattle, but I did sacrifice a very nice afternoon yesterday in search of a potential new hottie. It was worth it.

    Memorable Tip Rail Moves
    1. @ slick: This was in the late '70's, in L.A., near the airport. It wasn't a tip rail stunt, but as part of her stage routine. I saw a dancer smoke a cigarette, vaginally. I wonder if she got cervical cancer later on. 2. Currently, a present fave of mine will come up to the tip rail. She walks down the steps from the stage to the front row (no actual rail at this club), takes the hands of tipping customers, places them palms up on their knees, them plops her big natural boobs right into the palms of their hands. Quite a nice sensation for all the cost of a stage tip!

    Hobbies
    1. Dogs - I got two puppies from the same litter last Thanksgiving. They take a lot of my time. A few photos of them are at the end of my profile pics. 2. Music - I play the French horn in two community concert bands. And I go to concerts of other similar groups and symphony orchestras in the area. 3. Model railroading - I've belonged to clubs before and built just one home layout. Presently I go to a friend's house twice a week for three hours each time to help him build his. I'm a scenery-builder. He takes care of the trackwork and maintaining the rolling stock. 4. Collecting produce crate labels - Prior to about 1950, produce came in wooden crates. They had elaborate, artistic, labels at the ends. The labels from that era are still around and collectors have made it a hobby. I mostly collect citrus labels from Southern California growers. Now that I live in Washington state, I suppose I should start collecting apple crate labels.

I see you're new to TUSCL. For some clubs a map is provided. (The mapping function doesn't seem to be available for most clubs at the moment.) There is one for the Long Branch Saloon. Click on its name in the directory and you'll see where to click for the map. Or I've given you the link here: https://www.tuscl.net/dam.php?ClubID=301

@ lopaw: Your comment, "little woman in the boat," made me think that that must be where the phrase "whatever floats your boat," came from.
