    Club List
I'm with Slick. Although I have several faves, I like to seek out new talent as well. I maintain a "dancer wish list." I'm hoping to knock up (er, uh, I mean knock off) two off the list this weekend. They're two unkowns that I read about in a review of a local club, followed-up by PMs with the reviewer.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again: When it comes (pun intended) to club-going, lopaw has the advantage!

    What would you have done.
Art, when referring to oneself like that, the preferred spelling is "phart." It's a little classier. You certainly deserve the upgraded spelling.

    Hooters
http://www.twinpeaksrestaurant.com/locations/ There are no Twin Peaks or Tilted Kilt locations in Washington state. But, I still do Hooters when I go to one particular strip club that has a nearby Hooters. It's the only Hooters left in Washington. There used to be as many as four or five in Washington, but just one left now. An popular alternative here is to go to a bikini barista drive-up coffee/espresso stand. You can get a flash for a small tip at many of them. Former strippers work at a lot of them. Some are even former-stripper owned.

    Migratory Strippers?
To elaborate on Slick's post, January through April is the prime convention season in Las Vegas. Lots of dancers flock to Vegas during that time. Like Slick, I prefer the off season. I usually went to Las Vegas in May or November.

My experience has been just the opposite. Most dancers I've known, that once they retire, they don't want anything to do with customers anymore, including me.

@ Gator: Great joke! When I was maybe eight years old, I actually asked my mother about a term I had heard in school that day: "Mom, what's a cocksucker?" I got a horrible tongue lashing and was told not to ever use that word again. She still didn't answer my question, though.

Clubber, good clip! I wasn't sure what to expect at first. The early view of a sousaphone in a shopping cart made me think that maybe musical instruments were for sale in the local supermarket! I particularly liked the trombones in the mezzanine, but not entering until the break strain (sometimes referred to as the "dog fight" in a march)!

Differences in customer treatment due to gender?
You appear to be new to TUSCL, so welcome to the group! As the others above have alluded to: 1. I sense that you were a different type of customer, you gave off a very good vibe, and the dancers warmed up to you. That lead to a very enjoyable experience for you. 2. By all means, contact lopaw. Send her a PM to let her know about you, if she doesn't respond to this thread soon. She is a female customer, clubs regularly and is a frequent contributor on TUSCL. See her profile at: https://www.tuscl.net/u.php?UID=144284 From the lone club you have reviewed, it appears that you might be from L.A., the San Fernando Valley, in particular. Lopaw clubs mostly in the LAX/west side areas, but goes to clubs in the valley, also. I sense that the two of you might have a lot in common.

As long as we're on the subjects of "tits," (my favorite) it's time to educate the world about the origin of the word. Quite simply, it's an acronym (TITS). It stands for "two in the shirt."

@ Shadow and Clubber: "10" was a great flick. Being a fan of classical music (played a lot of it in my lifetime), I've often wondered about it being used as dance music in strip clubs. It would require extemely condensed versions. (You won't find too many songs the length of a 45-minute, four-movement symphony.) I recall that in one club, the d.j. had the "Hooked on Classics" album. That worked for one dancer.

    Cute Chick Cars
My experience is just the opposite. I know the cars of the dancers I know pretty well, and I'm observant of the cars parked at strip clubs. It's usually obvious whose cars are the dancers: They're the old, beat-up cars. (Poor money managers, usually.) I've known very few dancers to drive nice, hot, or expensive cars. One was a fairly new Camaro. Another a Mercedes (old, though). Another a $60,000 dually pick-up truck (for horse trailer hauling).

Porn actresses working in strip clubs
I have only had the occasion once to have known of a porn actress and THEN discovered that she was a stripper. That was in Las Vegas. That was in 2007, and I thinks she's still dancing there. Also, I've had the reverse happen five times. When I lived in L.A. I met five dancers (various clubs) who said they were porn actresses. All five checked out. You're welcome to PM for details. @ Slickpic: See: http://www.boobpedia.com/boobs/Mercedes_Ashley Lots of links to her work. @ Londonguy: Lots of porn actresses "escort" in their off time here. If you look at Backpage, in California--Los Angeles--San Fernando Valley, you may recognize some. Lot of porn studios are in the SFV, and consequently when in town to do porn shoots, actresses will escort in their off time.

Bartender and waitresses working in strip clubs
I've seen several waitresses that I've hoped would become dancers so that OTC with them, would be an easy topic to bring up. That only happened a couple of times. I did get an OTC with one waitress. However, that was with the help of a dancer at the same club that new the waitress very well and whom I'd done several OTCs with. But, generally, I have to wait until (if) waitresses become dancers.

    Bigger Rip Off
Food and drink prices are high at both venues as you mentioned, but I'd have to go with strip clubs being the bigger rip-off; that's only for the fact that most clubs are relentless in the "wanna-buy-the-lady-a-drink?" routine. Not only are customers expected to buy an overpriced drink, but buy them every five minutes. In Washington state, it's the same procedure. All clubs are nude, and no alcohol. Sodas, juices, and water are $5 at most clubs. At least the Deja Vu clubs charge $10 for a drink with unlimited refills.

Here's the L.A. Weekly. I count ten strip clubs. I didn't look at all to see if they all have free passes or discounts, but several of them do. One club is under a corporate names (Monarchs is "Gale Avenue Hospitality Venture Inc.") See: http://www.laweekly.com/adIndex/category/entertainment-42/

I forgot all about the L.A. Weekly. If that's still printed, it used to have two full pages of strip club ads for So Cal clubs. Most of those had free passes, or discount coupons. As Alucard mentioned, the Deja Vu website has a free pass good for any Deja Vu club in the country. See: http://www.dejavu.com/vu/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/2013_FREE_WEB_5.13.jpg

"There should be a thread . . ." Shall we consider that you just started one? "Within a mile of the club" is a rather limited distance. Try the San Gabriel Valley Tribune. When I lived in L.A., it had free passes for several SGV strip clubs. Look in either the sports section or the classified ads under "adult entertainment."
