The view from the other side of the room
The minimum for me on lap dances is breast touching. I've touched hundreds of female breasts in strip clubs over the years and really don't care all that much about it anymore. I think what I care about is that the girl is attempting to be nice to me. Breast touching is allowed in local strip clubs. There may be a local law concerning not allowing it, but the local police don't enforce it. It's not universally allowed by the strippers, though. If a girl is ok with it that's just a sign to me that she is trying to be nice and give me a good experience. If one doesn't allow it, I feel like she thinks she is better than me and it's my job to be nice to her and make her happy plus, in addition to that, hand her a bunch of money.
I don't think I'm being unreasonable wanting a dancer to do what almost all the other dancers are doing. I certainly don't get angry with anyone who doesn't want to do a standard lap dance for my locale. It's just a one and done situation on the lap dances and I cross her off my list of girls to go visit in the future.

Most regulars put in extra effort to be friendly to the guys who always spend money on them. You can tell the girl you don't always want to do dances because you like variety, but you have to expect the friendliness level to drop after that. Some customers want to have their cake and eat it too. They want the special attention that comes with being a regular while spending time with other dancers whenever they feel like it. You have to pick one or the other.
I'll usually have one or two strip clubs with regulars and go to the other local clubs when I want variety. I live in a big city, Indianapolis, so I never faced the problem of only having one available strip club.

This strip club has maintained a customer base, in spite of prices being too high, because the two other closest clubs, Jaguars and Jiggles, have gone into a steep decline. You can make money delivering an overpriced product or service if your competition is even worse.
I've been going here 12 years and I think there are more customers, like you, who have decided coming here is a waste of time. The strippers don't do enough or are not quite pretty enough to make it worth the effort to go. It's increasingly just young guys hanging out in the club rather than big spenders. I live only a ten-minute drive away, so it is easy to pop in here and check the place out. Sometimes I do get lucky and find a girl I like so it is, just barely, worth going for me.

History is littered with fallen empires. Eventually, the cost of maintaining an empire becomes greater than any benefits derived from it, and it goes into a decline. An empire also often goes along with a bread and circuses welfare state at home, and this then speeds up the decline even more.
The founders of this country knew their history and tried to implement a limited government with brakes in place to keep it from mutating into an empire. It worked for a couple hundred years, but nothing lasts forever. Since nothing lasts forever, the decline won't last forever either. I'm 67 and probably won't be around when things start getting better but it may be better again for our grandchildren someday. At least, I hope so.

I've noticed it is usually more quiet and easier to have conversations back in the lap dance area. They don't mind you having lengthy conversations with the strippers as long as you are paying extra for it. I had a situation just a couple weeks ago where I complained to a stripper who had sat down at my table that the music was too loud for me to even hear much of what she was saying. She then said it was quieter in the back and suggested we go back there. The loud music at least partly may be meant to enable these types of suggestions.
This and other gimmicks may work on a newbie customer but anyone who has visited strip clubs for years is perfectly aware of the various methods to manipulate customers into spending. In their case, these tactics don't work and may even backfire. All my regular girls and regular clubs are the ones who attempt to give me good value for my money. I don't like attempts to manipulate me out of my money instead and will immediately walk away from that.

After going to strip clubs a dozen years, I feel like they are an odd setting. Girls get older and leave and are replaced by new girls, so the average stripper age is always about the same. Strippers are forced out by aging, but I can basically go forever as long as I'm alive.
It's nice I can do this, but the price is no really long-term relationships. I know my former regulars are still alive but to me they no longer really exist. That friendly, talkative, affectionate and sexy acting girl was just a personality they adopted because it worked in the strip club to make money. The real them, the one outside the club that I never saw, is what my ex-regulars are now. This is ok, because there are always new versions of the regulars I had in my past appearing in the strip clubs.

The ideal situation would be to have most decisions made at the state instead of the federal level. Then people could just pick the state that most closely matches what they want and move there. It creates a lot of unnecessary friction between people by nationalizing every issue. The original purpose of the Constitution was to specifically list what the federal government would do and then everything else, which would be most things, would be decided at the state level. Liberals can live in liberal states, conservatives can live in conservative states and then everyone would get along better.

I live in a conservative area, Indiana, and most of my regulars have not been high mileage dancers. Not every customer is looking for extras and not every stripper is looking to do them. Strip clubs have all types of customers. My low mileage regulars are usually quite pretty, intelligent, make an effort to be friendly and affectionate, and give sensual lap dances. Doing extras in a conservative area means they are running the risk of getting fired so they appreciate it that I'm not asking them to do something that might cause them to lose their job. You'd be surprised by how many customers get angry if a dancer doesn't want to do something.
They will sometimes "rat out" a girl doing extras but most of my regulars let the managers deal with that. They really are not in direct competition with the extras girls because they are offering a different service for a different type of customer.

I went in my early twenties around forty years ago when I was in Chicago with a group of friends. The club was called the Crystal Pistol. Drinks were required but I didn't want a drink so I was told I could order a glass of orange juice.
The strippers mostly all seemed old or unattractive to me. I could get a girlfriend better looking than them, so I never saw much reason to go to strip clubs after that. I had a different response when I went to a strip club in my fifties. Every stripper looked better than what I could get as a girlfriend as a fifty-year-old.

Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life
One thing I'll always remember is seeing Raquel Welch and Janis Joplin together on the Dick Cavett show. They were about as different as two women could be. They seemed to get along ok, though.

My mother was an elementary school teacher for thirty years. After she retired, she didn't even want to be around children. Imagine spending all day, day after day, year after year, in a room full of children. Even if you like kids, that would be hard to take after a while. Even one or two kids can drive a parent crazy. Imagine having twenty-five to deal with.

I usually just get a bottle of water in a strip club. Having that at my table keeps waitresses from constantly stopping and asking if I want a drink. I tip them for the water too. It's not a bad idea to keep the waitresses friendly. There have been times when I had a question about the club or a girl I'm looking for and having a friendly waitress to get information from has been helpful.

Most guys never go to strip clubs. When I was fifty, I had only been a couple times in my life with friends. What changed for me was that I no longer found women the same age as me sexually attractive. I'm an extreme introvert and never liked living with someone but was willing to do it at a younger age when an attractive young female was available and interested.
Once I decided I was only interested in younger women, strip clubs became the best option. I understand your complaints because I often feel the same way. I have just enough good experiences, though, to keep going. I have been cutting back on visits recently. It's getting a little boring and there has been a big decline in local strip clubs. Also, my wage increases are not keeping up with inflation. This is a problem now for almost everyone and almost everyone is having to cut back on spending in some areas.

Tucker was not a team player. He was perfectly willing to criticize the Republicans when he thought they were wrong. I tend to distrust media people who take the position that either the Republican party or Democrat party is always right. They aren't thinking. They are just conformists mindlessly cheering for the Red team or the Blue team.

When I read approved reviews, I never think to myself "this shouldn't have been approved". The current process works fairly well at weeding out the worst reviews. I'll sometimes have one or two people reject my reviews that I submit (you can't make everyone happy) but have always had my reviews get published.
You need to have some standards on what gets published here and a rejected review section would bypass that and let everything through. That would be like letting people say absolutely anything in the discussion section. The owner of this website always took a strong freedom of speech position here, which I generally agree with, but eventually seemed to decide that three or four individuals had to be banned. You have to have some minimal standards of behavior.

It would depend on whether I had a lot of money or not much. If I wasn't rich, I would stay here in Indiana. The cost of living is low, it is a fairly conservative state and I like the change of seasons.

I waited until my fifties before I started going to strip clubs. I was aware from the beginning that the age gap was too big between me and the strippers for us to have an outside the club relationship. The exception would be a sugar daddy relationship and I wasn't interested in that.
That doesn't mean I have no feelings for my regulars. I went to visit a favorite regular one time and was told when I got there by the other strippers that she had a severe asthma attack and died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. When I was driving back home, I felt quite miserable and unhappy about it. I treat my regulars kindly, don't ask them to do anything that might get them fired and spend my money on them in the club. I think it is important, though, not to try and jump in and rescue them when they get themselves in trouble. I got in trouble several times when I was young, and it was a good learning experience for me.

I like the weekly night visit where I buy a couple lap dances from a girl. I don't look for extras so I won't save up money and pay for a private room where that might happen. Here in Indianapolis that would be a gamble anyway. At one time I went twice a week. I made my weekly night visit and I also had one girl I saw every week on a dayshift. When she retired from stripping, I didn't feel a need to replace her.

It's difficult for people with drug or alcohol problems to hold conventional jobs so they tend to seek out unconventional jobs. I think one such job is stripping. I do think it attracts such people in larger numbers. The girls like that, though, have short careers. If they don't get fired for getting drunk or doing drugs on the job, their lifestyle quickly erodes their looks and they can't make money anymore. I've seen gorgeous 18-year-old strippers five years later look they are in their thirties because of drugs, alcohol, cigarette smoking and a bad diet.

I largely agree with Minnow's extended comment above. The only area where I would slightly differ on how I evaluate reviews is that, while the traveling businessman is probably the primary user here, I think some members like to look at the reviews of their hometown clubs just to see what others are saying about the clubs they visit frequently. I think locals writing reviews primarily for other locals is acceptable, so I tend to not reject those reviews. I also believe, based on what I see, that the traveling businessman type is declining in strip clubs as more business is now done online. When I've asked long time strippers about this, they agree with me.
I once wrote a review of a small local club. It's a bad club in a bad neighborhood and hadn't received a review for over a year and very few reviews overall. I can't imagine that any visiting out of towner would ever go there since there are so many other better options in town. Because of that, I tried to aim my review more at locals. I thought it might be useful for them to know the club was still open and pricing and dancer quality was about the same and added some details I thought would be of interest to them. I warned out of town visitors that there were better local clubs, even though I didn't think anyone was stupid enough to not figure that out on their own based on the low review count of the club. I was chastised for my review. Others can criticize me if they want to but I'm not going to spend time writing a review aimed at the nonexistent person who seeks out the worst strip clubs whenever he visits a city. There may be people like that, but it would be a tiny minority.

I've found that leaving around 10:30 on a Friday, around the time you left, or Saturday is a good time to leave. This club becomes overly crowded after that, even to the point it can be difficult to find a place to sit down. It turns into a hangout spot for groups of young guys and the type of strippers who want to party with the young guys. I prefer early evening trips or late-night trips on weeknights here because I usually have better luck arranging lap dances with the dancers. This club also has probably the only good day shift left in town. The lengthy Covid lockdowns hurt the local clubs but seemed to especially hurt their day business once they all reopened. Numbers of night customers dropped after they all reopened but daytime customers, especially spending customers, dropped even more. The quality of dancers on days declined once the money they could make dropped.

Keep it in my pants when I do OTC. If I were a stripper it would stand for I like big bucks and I can not lie.
The pandemic stimulus spending wasn't needed. What was needed was to avoid the lockdowns. Florida avoided lengthy lockdowns and their economy boomed. Adjusted for age distribution, the Florida death rate from Covid was around the national average.
Both Republicans and Democrats are responsible for the increasing national debt. The neocon dominated Republicans want to increase spending on the military-industrial complex and unnecessary foreign wars. The Democrats want to increase spending on the welfare state. The person who is harmed by this is the productive individual who works hard to support themselves and their families and just wants the government to perform the basic function of catching criminals and defending the borders while otherwise leaving them alone.

I rotate around eight different strip clubs so I'm not in any one club often enough to know who is new and who is not. If I don't have a regular in a club, I'll just pick the prettiest one I see to ask for lap dances. Sometimes it ends up that girl gives bad lap dances or is unfriendly and stuck up acting. When that happens, I just cross her off my list of girls to ask on my next visit to the club. Often, when I go back she isn't even there anymore.
If I happen to get a new girl and she is pretty and friendly but her lap dances are poor I may try her again later. The lap dances of new girls almost always improve with experience.

I knew two sisters when I was young. One of them was smart and one of them was pretty. I married the pretty one but should have married the smart one. I would tell my younger self to not pick a wife based solely on how she looks.
