I finally got it, why some clubs have terrible music or broken A/C

It just clicked,

I am guess I am slow but my theory is that when some clubs have loud music, too hot or too cold. It's just way for management to either kick people out or try to get them to stay without saying it out loud. Says a lot about some of the popular places...

The goal of any place that sells alcohol or really any overpriced drinks is generally to get you to stay as long as possible, not to get you out quick. They'll offer free food, put naked girls on stage, etc. in an effort to do it.

Real men and badass creatures - like ricks - aren’t bothered by that shit. As long as we get sufficient tits, pussy, and alcohol we’re good. I guess the OP is kind of a pussy all “wah wah the AC is too cold to enjoy the naked chicks”. Grow a pair and enjoy the sexy sexy nipples. ROAR!!!

Unless, of course, the female hairless apes are fugly. If that is the case I withdraw my criticism and offer this rickvice: leave the overly AC’ed loud music fugly female place.

Dolfan, not all the clubs sell drinks. Or even have food.

I remember a business case study about the Benihana restaurants. They intentionally designed their seating to become uncomfortable after 20-30 minutes. They wanted to turn tables quickly.

Never attribute devious, clever motives to politicians ( or strip club managers ) when the more likely answer is gross incompetence.

While fast food places are famous for the tactics mark mentioned, I still think most bars/restaurants/clubs want people to stay longer. In my experience, few strip clubs have capacity issues. They aren't trying to turn over customers, they're trying to increase spending per customer.

Around here, I'd bet you the temperature is uncomfortable due to a fundamental lack of understanding on how thermostat's and AC systems work combined with poor maintenance and repairs. The loud music is because they think that's what people want.

But again to build on mark's other response, maybe they're too dumb to be trying to either increase turnover or spending and are just fucking idiots.

I've noticed it is usually more quiet and easier to have conversations back in the lap dance area. They don't mind you having lengthy conversations with the strippers as long as you are paying extra for it. I had a situation just a couple weeks ago where I complained to a stripper who had sat down at my table that the music was too loud for me to even hear much of what she was saying. She then said it was quieter in the back and suggested we go back there. The loud music at least partly may be meant to enable these types of suggestions.

This and other gimmicks may work on a newbie customer but anyone who has visited strip clubs for years is perfectly aware of the various methods to manipulate customers into spending. In their case, these tactics don't work and may even backfire. All my regular girls and regular clubs are the ones who attempt to give me good value for my money. I don't like attempts to manipulate me out of my money instead and will immediately walk away from that.

One thing I’ve noticed with clubs, at least in Arizona, is it gets much warmer when there is a surge of customers. It can can take an hour or two for the AC to adjust to more bodies.

Like most old people, I’ve lost some hearing in the upper frequency. I can hear most guys in the clubs but I have a tougher time hearing female voices.

The thing is, which took me a bit to understand is that the clubs and dancers hate it when there are bunch of customers simply just sitting around eating food, drinking a beer or worse just on their cell phones while someone starts performing.

It's not just a money thing. It's a respect thing. No one is going to dance for even a few dollars if you are just going to talk to your friends not paying attention. Of course, this isn't ALL clubs but I think it more true than we thought.

I think the purpose of a cover charge is not so much to make money but to screen out people won’t spend money once they are in the club.
