I could see something like this for escorts where girls are listed along with their pictures/contact info/etc. in a sort of offline Backpage. If law enforcement appears, the tablet can be discreetly picked up off the bar and tucked away underneath.

The upcharge game will only continue as long as people are willing to pay into it. The second she refused the $25 dance, I would have just moved on. Even if you argue and she does give in, I have a suspicion that it won't exactly be the lap dance of the century.
Demanding more money after the fact, however, is completely inappropriate regardless of the circumstances. If, after the dance, you decide to tip her, that's OK, but any type of house fee or other mandatory surcharge is to be disclosed up front. To use the gas station analogy again, this would be like setting my pumps for $3.49/gal, then telling you AFTER you filled up that the real price is $3.59/gal and that you need to pay the difference.
Ladies, remember: If you don't take care of the customer, someone else will!

Just a fat, creepy old pervert.
One of my favorite clubs has 3-for-2 pricing. Usually, I pay for the first dance up front and then, at the end of the first dance (assuming it was acceptable) I'll then pay for the second dance, which will then be followed by the (free) third dance. I can understand having to pay up front for at least the first dance. In fact, I prefer the setup where you pay for the dance at a central location such as the bar or DJ booth as it prevents the girl from coming out after and (falsely) accusing me of ripping her off.

The lap dances always seem better when I pick the girl myself, rather than settling for whichever one happens to drop by and ask.

The most I've ever spent in one night was $350 if you count the $270 speeding ticket I got on the way home. If we're only counting money spent at the club itself, probably about $150.

I was at a club once, and this particular girl I bought a dance from early on kept on coming back over to sit with me when she wasn't on stage. Eventually, she took to sitting on my lap between her sets (not as part of a paid dance) and I began to give her a shoulder rub. She really liked this, and subsequent dances ended up better as a result.

Mine actually wasn't that great now that I look back on it. I was 18. I took a friend from school with me (it was his first time too) and we had less than $100 between the two of us. There were two girls on shift that night. We saw one girl do her set before getting into a fight with the other one over the choice of music. Ultimately, the girl who had just finished on the stage quit right then and there--literally went into the back, threw her stuff on, walked out and drove away. I went on to discover many other clubs that had their act together, but unfortunately, this incident ruined my friend's interest.

licklick, I take a completely opposite approach: If I see a girl who looks like she'd give a fun dance, I WILL go over to her and ask her point-blank for the dance. There are times I want a dance and I want it now, that's all there is to it.

Any girl who I agree to a dance with leaves to go do something else at her own peril. If another girl comes along in the meantime, I may very well go with her instead.

On any review site (adult or otherwise) you can bet that some unscrupulous club owner has signed up and given his own club glowing reviews (and/or trashed his competitors). However, sites like these are self-correcting by design: the more reviews posted about a given club (i.e. real reviews posted by actual customers), the less influence any single review will have, and in time the real, honest reviews will outpower the deliberately planted ones.

My favorite local club doesn't even have a DJ--the girls load their personal playlist into the stereo system before they go on stage. Each girl is allotted a certain number of songs per turn on stage, resulting in a lot of long (>5 minutes) songs being played in order to maximize time on stage and therefore tip revenue. Getting cheated on a lap dance due to clipped songs is a non-issue there. Even then, when I buy a dance from my ATF, she'll usually take me back right away and the dance will last for the remainder of the currently playing song plus the entire length of the next song, so a single dance with her can potentially last the better part of 10 minutes.

I had this happen the other night. At the particular club I was at, one pays for dances at the bouncer/cashier counter, not to the girl directly. The girl I wanted the dance from had just finished her stage set, so I figured that I would be served right away. Instead, she gets put back into the stage rotation and I end up waiting 20-odd minutes for her to come around again. Maybe they knew that I was planning to leave after that dance and wanted me to stay?

Too much of a good thing is never enough
In addition to the whole anti-extras thing, keep in mind that the dancers are dealing with considerable sums of cash. At one of the clubs I go to, it's not uncommon to see some of the more popular girls with armbands stuffed with $100 bills. In addition, some dancers have been known to engage in pickpocketing (or so my club favorite tells me). The cameras act as a theft deterrent for both parties.

Yeah, it happens from time to time. Usually they're either drunk or doing something stupid like harassing my ATF over the color of her costume (and oftentimes both).

Yeah, there was this one girl who was all over me. Whenever it wasn't her turn on stage, she'd always come and sit on my lap. She continued to do this long after my last dollar was gone. Why? Because she knew I'd come back with my next paycheck. It's a classic case of give a little now to get a lot later.

Yeah, it happened not too long ago. A few weeks back, I went to my favorite local place and was the only customer there for the last hour or so. I went back to the same place the other night and ran into the opposite problem: the place was packed and the only dancers on shift were my ATF and these two new girls (this is a small club so you hardly ever see much more than this).

Well, if the time does come to kick them out, you could always just say that you waived the rent a few times but have decided not to do this anymore, and that they need to either pay up (in cash) or leave. No need to even mention that the threesomes ever took place.

In my experience, most clubs will allow you to leave, go to the ATM across the street, and come back without paying an additional cover charge. They're not going to stop you from spending more money...
Totally agree about the rural clubs offering a greater degree of intimacy with the dancers. (Some of the lap dances I've had at these types of clubs have been downright INTENSE.) However, the downside to this is that these places are fragile and may run into trouble if just one girl leaves to go somewhere else (which brings a trade-off for the girls: there may be more money to be made at the city clubs, but only for the girls who can compete against the city talent.).
