I haven't noticed any shortages in the Northeast - things seem pretty normal. I just returned from a long trip and traffic seemed pretty normal to me. I was surprised at how many trucks were on the road.

I never go home after a SC visit. Clubbing has always been an out-of-town activity for me. When I'm home I have better things to do.

Zorro, I have to disagree with you a bit. I think a detailed description of the club's interior is valuable for two reasons: first it increases my belief that the guy writing the review has actually been to the club, which unfortuantely isn't always the case. Second, I like to know in advance just how big and fancy a place is, since I generally don't like really big clubs, really fancy ones, or total dumps. So while I agree it isn't the most important information it can still be somethat useful.

I've always thought that this site defines a strip club as any commercial establishment where girls dance scantily clad on a stage for money. The fact that many other things (like massage or prostitution) may or may not also take place is irrelevant. That wouldn't be my definition but I think it's the one in use here.

It depends entirely on wht you are looking for, eg. a lot of variety, most attractive girls, moderate prices, welcoming and friendly atmosphere, high mileage. Personally I've always preferred places that had a lot of variety to choose from, friendly atmosphere and moderate prices. Especially moderate prices. And the best such places often aren't in any city at all, they're in small towns and rural areas, or at least in smaller cities like Indianapolis. I've never seen what I consider to be a really great club in a big city.

Cougar, your reaction may be the result of your frequent encounters with women for whom you have no respect or regard. In your mind you've cheapened the sex act, it has little meaning for you other than selfish pleasure and degradation. As a result you may have developed an unconscious mental connection between sex and degradation of the girl. So when you're with a girl who you really like you have problems performing. My guess is that your experience isn't all that uncommon.

Clubber, thaat depends entirely on where you are. I've been to lots of clubs where all the customers wear jeans, and you'd look really out of place if you didn't.
Which is also true for the original question, it depends on where you are. In some clubs it's the whole point of the LD and is expected, in others the girls would get pissed off. Different clubs have different (usually unwritten) rules.

Who cares what's true and what isn't? Believe whatever you want to, whatever maximizes your enjoyment. As long as she treats me the way I want to be treated, that's all that matters. How I choose to interpret her behavior is the only "reality" that matters to me.

I don't think I've ever run into this problem. I've never been interrupted in a VIP room. If a girl is in VIP with a customer, the clubs I'm most familiar with just skip her and move on to the next girl in the rotation - she tells the DJ where she's going and he doesn't call her name again until she's finished with her customer. Most clubs I've spent most time in don't even have a VIP room so it's a non-issue.

I think most dancers actually prefer if you buy dances from other girls too. It makes them nervous if a guy is waiting for them and just buys dances from them only - they're also likely to think less of you for it. I often had a favorite, but I always bought dances from other girls when she was busy, if there was someone else available who appealed to me.

... after I agree to buy a private dance and we're heading in back, she asks for a tip, telling me that the bigger the tip the better the dance will be. She won't get one from me.
I can handle almost anything else but any of those will put me completely out of the mood for clubbing and I'll usually leave.

I've often thought of the purchase of LDs as a reward for spending time with me. I'm not only paying for the dance but the additional time they sat with and entertained me. If they aren't willing to do that I rarely buy a dance unless the girl really turns me on.

My ATF's older (by 2 years) brother used to drop in to her club fairly regularly and hang out with her, particularly during the day when it was very slow. Neither one of them seemed to think it at all odd.

I love it when a dancer acts normal around me and doesn't try to put on a phony act. The phony acts really turn me off.

Personally I've always prefered the very young ones because they tend to be more attractive (at least to me) and I often get a kick out of their silliness if it's not too over the top. But it can be hard to find one without an attitude. I've had some fun times with older dancers so age has never been a big thing to me.

I think features primarily appeal to people who are not regular club goers, it's an effort to attract new customers. IMO, most guys who go to clubs regularly, like most of the people here, don't care for them very much.

I also once knew a drop-dead gorgeous stripper who quit dancing and later became a Hooters girl in Jacksonville.

In my experience Hooters girls vary all over the place, depending where you are. I've been to some where there wasn't an attractive girl in the place. I've been to others where they were all spectacular (the one in Clemson, SC comes to mind.) So in that respect they're a lot like strip clubs.

Unless things have changed in recent years, none of the clubs in AC are any good, you have to head out of town. Try Go-Go Rama - I've never been there but it's gotten some decent reviews. But I doubt if anything is going to measure up to the better RI clubs that you frequent.

I'd guess that a lot of older guys prefer them because they're more mature. And to someone in their 70s a woman in her 50s isn't that old. I also don't think you run into nearly as many unpleasant attitudes among older women and they probably treat the older guys better than do some of the young girls.

Camelot and Archibald's are probably the closest to GWU, both are near metro stations.

Crystal City Restaurant in VA is only 2 blocks from the metro and is a pretty decent and popular place.
