Dancers missing stage rotations...

It pisses the DJ's off because it is their job to keep the stage/s filled. It pisses the management off because they never want to see an empty stage. It pisses customers off because they do not want to stare at an empty stage. So why do dancers miss their stage calls? (1) they are stoned on drugs/alcohol. (2) They are in the back room with a good customer. (3) They have left the club and did not check out with the DJ. Ever had your back room experience interrupted because she answered her stage call? This can be avoided by first having her check her position. She can ask the DJ to bypass her. She can get another dancer to fill in for her. Or you can wait until she is off stage. Ever been in the back room with a dancer and she gets the stage call and she says "Fuck it. I don't want to go on stage". I like this attitude when I am in the back having fun but hate it when I am out front looking at an empty stage. I have seen bouncers ask/tell a dancer, not with a customer, to fill in. I have seen some dancers volunteer when the stage is empty. Your thoughts?

With Dancers I don't know, I always check their stage rotation first, to avoid having her rush out on a good LD. My former ATF used to disappear for minute just before she and I went into the back room. Since we would be there for 2 to 2.5 hours, I'm sure she was telling the DJ she would be with her bread and butter for awhile because her club only had 10-15 dancers at one time (you go through that many dancers in about 90 minutes)

The only time I ever give a rat's ass about this situation is when I'm getting VIP dances and the girl has to leave. That pisses me off and she should stay. Another girl should cover for her, and if one is unavailable, tough shit, empty stage for a song. Maybe they should play pornos during gaps like these.

I've never seen this as a problem. Never had one abandon me from private dancing, but leave from sitting with me, of course. It always seemed, that if a dancer didn't show when called, the DJ just picked another. Or, perhaps I never payed enough attention.

Another poor attempt at starting a topic. Yawn! “It pisses the DJ's off because it is their job to keep the stage/s filled.” – How sad for them. “It pisses the management off because they never want to see an empty stage.” – They are the management. You’d think management could manage the situation that’s their job. “It pisses customers off because they do not want to stare at an empty stage.” – I agree. “So why do dancers miss their stage calls? (1) they are stoned on drugs/alcohol. (2) They are in the back room with a good customer. (3) They have left the club and did not check out with the DJ.” – Could be other reasons. Maybe the dancer had to go throw up after dancing for some cheap old bastard in silk pervert shorts. “Ever had your back room experience interrupted because she answered her stage call? This can be avoided by first having her check her position. She can ask the DJ to bypass her. She can get another dancer to fill in for her. Or you can wait until she is off stage.” – No. I make sure these things are taken care of BEFORE embarking on an extended dance session. “Ever been in the back room with a dancer and she gets the stage call and she says "Fuck it. I don't want to go on stage". I like this attitude when I am in the back having fun but hate it when I am out front looking at an empty stage. I have seen bouncers ask/tell a dancer, not with a customer, to fill in. I have seen some dancers volunteer when the stage is empty.” -- What a full and interesting life you have lead. You sure have seen a lot. <SNICKERS> “Your thoughts?” – Shadowcat I think you suck. This was another boring pointless topic that goes nowhere.

I've only had two get called while on extended sessions. Both motioned from the dance room to the DJ to go to someone else, then took extra care of me. At Heartbreakers, one of the many dancers just sitting down will jump up on the empty stage. PP is a little harder to get them up there without being called.

One of the clubs I doesn't even have a rotation in the traditional sense. I think there is a general understanding by management that the girls would prefer to do their VIP's, so they don't call them out when they are dancing. That's why you can go there for 2 hours, and see one girl 3 times and another never during those two hours. But most of the places I go to have a strict rotation and it seems like they are always worried about having to go on stage soon. I know that at one of the places I regularly visit, they get one free pass a night, except that most of the time, they save it for dinner. Usually, I try to get them soon after they left the stage.

More times than I care to think about, the bouncer has come into the VIP to tell the dancer she is up next. Then the whole "scramble" begins. She tries to find a friend to cover for her, because she is with a customer, me. If that doesn't work she tries to get the DJ to get another dancer on stage. When that doesn't work the cussing, fighting and arguing begins. That's when I leave the club and don't pay for any dances I may have had. Fuck this shit.

Superdude, so you leave the club without paying you may have had Why? What makes you so special... How about you work a half day for free cause you pissed someone off... So you shouldn't get paid cause you just rubbed someone the wrong way... Stage Rotation is a part of our job, and a dancers job to know when she is on stage, so she can figure when to give her dances, but even if she is not on top of it, and has to be interupted to do her job on stage, she still did a service for you and deserves her money.

Evilcyn has a good point - dancers are there to make money, and no-pay customers are a pain in the wazoo. But also Superdude has a good point - he paid to have a good time, and witnessing an Establishment Catfight is not a good time, so if the dancer isn't around to collect (because she and DJ are fighting) why should he? It is up to management to set up rules to prevent this kind of nonsense and then enforce the rules. Everybody on staff including DJs Dancers Bouncers etc are supposed to know WHAT they are supposed to do and WHEN. Everything depends on the customers who come in to spend their hard-earned money inside the club.

SuperDude was just trying to make himself sound bad-ass. Like our pal Shadowcat his good time is determined by how cheaply he can get by.

Believe it or not I don't worry one bit about dancers missing stage rotations. That's club business between the dancer and management. I go to have fun. My ATF is allowed to skip her stage rotation if she is in the private dance room as long as she tells the DJ so he can call the next girl on the rotation. There are bigger problems in life than a strip club's inability to figure out how to keep a stage well stocked with dancers.

Yoda has it correct. As I stated before, "I've never seen this as a problem." Why others seem to have, or see this as a problem, who really cares, other then themselves?

Shit! I was going to write the presidential candidates and ask them how they plan to handle stage rotation in strip clubs as I see this as our glorious nation’s biggest challenge.

Happens quite a lot at one club I visit. Either another dancer fills in or a bouncer finds another dancer and has her fill in.

I am surprised that not all clubs have a policy that if a dancer is in the VIP, she is off the stage rotation. At my favorite club, before the dancer goes into the VIP room, she checks in with the DJ and has her name taken of the list. Regular lap dances are another story. Like Cyn says, dancers need to be aware of the rotation before asking for a dance. But sometimes stuff happens, like a customer unexpectedly asking for many dances in a row. Then the customer just has to be gracious and accept it. I met my ATF like that. Very first nite I met her we had a dance and was about to get another when she got called on stage. I waited for her to return and was glad I did.

I don't think I've ever run into this problem. I've never been interrupted in a VIP room. If a girl is in VIP with a customer, the clubs I'm most familiar with just skip her and move on to the next girl in the rotation - she tells the DJ where she's going and he doesn't call her name again until she's finished with her customer. Most clubs I've spent most time in don't even have a VIP room so it's a non-issue.

"Most clubs I've spent most time in don't even have a VIP room so it's a non-issue." I was going to point out that you didn't need the second "most" in that sentence. But mostly I am put off by you saying it is a non issue. Most clubs have some type of VIP room or area. Then again most patrons aren't pining away for the good old days of 10+ years ago.

I always ask the dancer when her next stage stet is to avoid this problem. If she's close, I usually say let's 'wait'. Of course, if you're in a small club with only a few dancers working, you can't win, so just get used to it.

I like it when the dancer says "forget the DJ, I'm dancing for you now." I have to admit though, sometimes I've heard right after I got some laps the DJ said the dancer in front of me was up next. The dancer then asked me "you want another 2 for $30?" Typically the DJ only announces her name 2 or 3 more times and they find someone else I guess. It can be disappointing out on the main floor if the DJ announces a specific dancer you like and she doesn't show up.

At one club, it's small and the dancers are found and go up on stage after being called all the time. I don't believe they have the option at the small club to miss their turn.

At my favorite club. Day shift dancers must be in the rotation. The night time girls have the option. In the 2 year relationship with my ATF, I only saw her on stage twice. At the request of the house because they were short of dancers at the time. She did not have to advertise. She was the clubs most popular dancer. But she put on a great show when she did appear on stage.

I have never seen this as a problem. I believe the bouncer communicates with the DJ that girl is in VIP. I have heard the DJ announce a girl, then state rotation update later. I have gotten a private dance and the girl has been out of rotation, so the DJ calls them right away.
