It appears that strip clubs are patronized by existentialists. This is why I find myself sitting in strip clubs, "Waiting for Ms. Godot".
Should I stay? Should I go? What if she isn't working tonight? I should go. No, just a few more minutes. She said she works on Tuesdays and Thursdays. God, I'm drinking too fast. Whoa, that girl could stand to lose a few. I think I'll go just as soon as I finish this drink. But what if she comes in later? Well, she had her chance. It's her loss. Ok, just one more drink.

Gotta agree with txtittyfan, the Hiliter in Phoenix is tops on my short list. Then Mon Venus in Tampa. Honorable mention to the Playhouse in Romulus, MI.

I've been going to clubs in Phoenix for over 10 years, including both Christies in Phoenix and Tempe. I have never heard anyone make a case for VIP in either of those clubs. Activities in the clubs in Phoenix is controlled because there is a City ordinance that proscribes big penalties for management. VIP will be expensive ($300 plus) and mileage will not be much better than out on the floor. The one benefit is that the girl may hang out with you more. And for that she will expect a big tip. If you want mileage in Phoenix, take the time to become a regular (focus on 2 or 3 girls you like) and be generous with getting $10 lap dances. Over the long run, that will be a wiser use of your money. Don't just focus on one girl and dream up a fantasy about how great it will be in VIP with her. That approach leads to an empty bank account.

Gotta agree with rickdugan, Harry O's is a dive with a very wierd stage and a private dance room no bigger than a walk in closet. Henry VIII near Detroit airport as of a few years ago had all of the charm of a very bad remodeling job. And then there is Vics place in Irvington, NJ, which has a permanent odor of beer, sweat, smoke, and jism all mixed together. Honorable mention to Blue Diamond in Columbus OH; the stage is just plain falling apart. I love these places.

I have done this by myself. And, I actually took a stripper to Vegas and we went to clubs together, which was simply a more expensive way to get dances. I find Vegas clubs to be a poor value. One time, my GF and I went to Sapphire, and we dished out almost $90 by the time we actually got a table.
I think my basic advice would be go in the daytime to a place like OG. You'll get better attention.
But honestly, I wouldn't go to Vegas for a club crawl. I would go to Miami or Detroit or maybe Dallas. Heck, I live in Phoenix, and I would rather do it here (typically $7 cover evening only, beautiful girls, $10 to $20 dances, less expensive hotels, Indian casinos, and tons of golf).

2) I don't care. I kind of like the Roman orgy scene.

4) Hard drinks. I like Jack Daniels on the rocks. Also explains why I like topless joints, as they have the liquor licenses.
5) Food? I'm too busy nibbling. Actually, I have had a great time sharing food with strippers. They will eat anything half decent. And I like to think I am half decent.

The "no voice mailbox" message probably depends on the provider, because with some providers the voice mailbox is activated from day one. However, on some plans, the customer has to access the voice mail feature and set a PIN for the mailbox to be active. At any rate, if this is for a number that was previously active, then there was some kind of reset on the account. There could have been a lapse in payment with a suspension of the account, or the number could be reassigned to a new customer. If the phone belongs to a stripper, I would say the payment lapse is most likely!

My GF of 4.5 years is a (probably) ex stripper, 27 years old. Over the first 6 months of our relationship I learned about her past in short installments. If she had told me all at once, I would have run for the hills. To summarize: 1) mother died of heroin overdose when GF was 5; 2) Grandmother and extended relatives vied for custody over next 3 years; 3) Grandmother won, then used GF as slave in fish store; 4) GF's dad fathered 7 kids by 4 women, and never stayed with mother to raise kids; 5) despite this, GF went to live with dear old dad at age 14; 6) Age 17, GF takes up heroin, moves to Philly; 7) GF spends thanksgiving with other addicts living inside abandoned boat in boatyard next to river; 8) GF has several boyfriends and living arrangements; one boyfriend sucks dick to make drug money; 9) GF prostitutes on the street at height of heroin use; 10) New Russian boyfriend abuses her; she threatens to leave; he tries to stab her; she jumps out 2nd floor window, shatters leg on sidewalk; 11) GF goes with Grandma to Arizona to recuperate, gets clean for 2 months, then takes up with drug dealer and lives out of hotel; 12) Everybody gets arrested at hotel; GF gets free on bail and skips around town; 13) New boyfriend is actually a nice guy, an ex drunk who takes her in and they live in a 5th wheeel trailer at a car body shop; 14) I meet GF at strip club; we arrange OTC; 15) GF is arrested on warrants; 15) I spend the next year pulling her off the street, helping her through her probation; and otherwise convincing her she has better life waiting.
It was holy hell for a while. Now she is at ASU, majoring in Biology (no jokes!). Clean for 3.5 years. Sometimes I wake up at night and worry about her relapsing.

A variation on that theme is the maneuver during a lap dance where the girl asks you to spread your legs, then puts her head down between them and does a forward roll, ending upside down with her ass against your face. I had a 90 lb spinner do it and it was fun. Then I had a 130 lb cowgirl in Vegas do it from a running start 15 ft away, and I felt like I was in a rodeo.

Sara, you don't have to have a local drivers license or permanent residence in Phoenix to get the "Adult Cabaret Performer" ID card. All you need is a government issued ID, so your passport or Canadian drivers license should be ok. The current fee is $28.
The average daytime temperature in Phoenix in the winter is in the 60's. What's the average where you are? ;-)

I live in Phoenix and know the clubs very well. There are about 5 or 6 clubs I would classify as upscale and worth your consideration. They are topless with alcohol. Regular lap dances are $10. A few have VIP sections. Dancer fees and tip-outs tend to be reasonable (example, at Hiliter $35 to start plus 10% of your dance income). To dance in Phoenix, you need an entertainer license ($25, very easy to get at City Hall). Best season is Jan-May because there are more tourists then. You will not be expected to do extras in the clubs. Housing and other expenses are reasonable, so you can get situated pretty easily, especially now with the housing market so soft. My short list of recommended clubs:
1)Hiliter (Phoenix, my favorite club)
2) Christies Cabaret (Phoenix or Tempe)
3) Skin (Scottsdale)
4) Bourbon St (Phoenix)
Don't spend all your time thinking about it. Come on down before your weather gets cold and let me know where you end up ;-)

OK Lee, here's my advice based on my limited experience in Atlanta clubs, and lots of experience elsewhere. Atlanta clubs can be ok for a nice one way LD (not an air dance). I think you have two options: 1) one of the upscale clubs, with a budget of about $150, or 2) a less desirable place, but certainly a lower budget. Also, lap dances tend to be better in clubs with booze and topless, not nude. I don't know how this relates to Cobb County versus anywhere else. Now, as for your mild extras for $25, that's just not happening in most strip clubs unless you are a regular, have spread around $$$ to a few girls, and they are doing you a favor.

I have been observed, but never "caught".
The only clubs in which I have been advised to cool it are the low mileage places where the bouncers look for heinous infractions like resting your hand on a girl's thigh. In the places I usually frequent, the question is not "how do I get laid?".

I would guess 80% of strippers use some illegal drugs. The majority probably smoke weed. I don't consider that a big deal; at the worst it makes them a little spacey.
A few years back, I was a regular in a club in Phoenix and my typical spot was near the Women's room. Girls would disappear in there for 10 or 15 minutes and come out stumbling. I figured it was coke, crack or meth.
My GF worked at another club and she told me the dressing room conversation centered on pills, like Vicodin.
Yes, the girls like how the drugs suppress their appetite and help them stay thin. They're convinced the skinny girls make more money, and I would guess they're right.
