Monday, September 14, 2009 2:17 PM
I tried the east coast all the way from nyc to Miami, nothing really imressive (actually very dissapointing), i would like to dance at the west coast, where do strippers make the most money there (excluding las vegas), I was thinking about LA, any thoughts?

Guessing you'd be the tall one in the photo. If you want to make more for doing less, try San Diego. If that doesn't work out for you, LA is only 2 hours up the road.

For the clubs, there's a search box at the upper right of the screen. Type in "san diego" and you'll have a good start. On the first question, the usual suspects should be online soon. Try them for more ideas.

I have heard Houston and Phoenix are good money making spots. Also you can try escorting in Windsor. ([view link])

If you want to make money, you can do that in many places: Houston, Dallas, LA, San Fransisco, etc. But you could also make money in Miami and Tampa, for example. You may need to decide how much you are willing to do to make the money you seek. Many clubs are places where dancers can make big bucks, if they provide maximum "mileage."

Escorting, I don't mind as long as it doesn't involved sex, but in 99% it does...

"could also make money in Miami" I don't think money is being made in Miami. Too many hot women(from all over the world). Sure there are tourists here to throw away money, but they get spread thin quick.

Phoenix would be your best bet IMO. Hot girls do well there w/o extras.

I live in Phoenix and know the clubs very well. There are about 5 or 6 clubs I would classify as upscale and worth your consideration. They are topless with alcohol. Regular lap dances are $10. A few have VIP sections. Dancer fees and tip-outs tend to be reasonable (example, at Hiliter $35 to start plus 10% of your dance income). To dance in Phoenix, you need an entertainer license ($25, very easy to get at City Hall). Best season is Jan-May because there are more tourists then. You will not be expected to do extras in the clubs. Housing and other expenses are reasonable, so you can get situated pretty easily, especially now with the housing market so soft. My short list of recommended clubs: 1)Hiliter (Phoenix, my favorite club) 2) Christies Cabaret (Phoenix or Tempe) 3) Skin (Scottsdale) 4) Bourbon St (Phoenix) Don't spend all your time thinking about it. Come on down before your weather gets cold and let me know where you end up ;-)

I think you should come to Michigan. OK, technically it's not on the West Coast, but it is west of Ontario and Quebec. Bring your hot blonde Canadian stripper friend along, too. Nice picture, by the way.

"Excluding Las Vegas" -- ??? You must be kidding me. Do you want to make money or are you just fooling around? If cash is the key, then why would exclude a town where cash is king.

The problem is that I can't get a licence (I'm a Canadian citizen = not US), that's why I'm excluding vegas as well as all places that requires some sort of licence ou social security number

There is lots of money for dancers in Houston. Penthouse is re-opening and I am sure you would do well there. Check out their website.

Here in LA all of the dancers I see regularly complain about how slow it is. Although the recession hit everyone hard, it hit especially hard here and in Orange County, as well as the Inland Empire. If you want you can check out [view link] for some info about local clubs in the LA/OC areas. Alot of the club reviews are old, but the readers review boards are mostly current (gotta take what you read with a grain of salt, tho). I club in the greater LAX area, and clubs here are hurting. One long standing club just closed, and another will close sometime next year. But there is money to be had if you get to know the area and are willing to really hustle.

sara_leblanc, That is correct. All of us in the US know that one HAS to be a citizen or have a work permit/green card to get a job in the US. No one works in this country illegally! :)

Hate to break it to you Clubber, but I worked in about a dozen strip clubs, from Nyc all the way to miami area, and most of the don't require any official work permit. Some cities are bound by local laws, ex : Las vegas where every dancer has to have a CITY licen, but most cities don't ask for the that, and then it's a the discretion of the club

Hey sara, I sent you a private message this morning but it shows you have not yet opened it...so I'll post on here: I recommend checking out [view link] if you are a stripper. The majority of people on that web site are strippers themselves and will be able to offer better advice for you. [view link] is mostly for strip club customers. These are not official rules but more like trends.

Sara, You missed the point of my post completely. Not really to you, but to those of us in the US that know about what you say. No harm, no foul!

ss1- I beg to differ on "pink site" advice. I think she has already been over there, as "Sara Traveller", eh?? Anyway, stripper posters over there will universally answer that money sucks in their city, be it Miami, Tampa, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, wherever. Furthermore, they will say that customers really don't know jack about the workings of a club. By setting out on the road anyway, and asking us about clubs, s_lb has demonstrated a contrarian streak. So, I'll give you some contrarian advice: If all customers were like me on my LA business trips, its a miracle those dancers make any money. I'm one of those guys that are the same height/physique as "Prince" with long flowing hair wearing an array of jewelry who thinks I'm too cool to grace a stripclub with my presence, much less buy a lapdance. If I were to "slip" and actually go there, I'd never dream of posting about it, NOT, lol.

Sara, you don't have to have a local drivers license or permanent residence in Phoenix to get the "Adult Cabaret Performer" ID card. All you need is a government issued ID, so your passport or Canadian drivers license should be ok. The current fee is $28. The average daytime temperature in Phoenix in the winter is in the 60's. What's the average where you are? ;-)

Gimme a break. If you can't make it in Niagra Falls or other places in Canada, you will never do any better here.

It is not only las vegas that has high requirements for sex workers, it is the entire state of Neveda. A legal brothel in Nevada (Shady Lady Ranch) wanted to expand the business by offering Male Gigolos. However, Nevada law requires all brothel sex workers to have regular cervical exams...so now the brothel has to go to court and sue for discrimination because that law prevents males from working as brothel sex workers. notgreenvegas can apply [view link]

Bonne chance! Hi Sara I am not sure if eather you are French or English as your last name is French. My Canadian friend worked in the U.S.A as a dancer and some other countries. She did well at the time. I posted some info below to help you out. (Triple w before the adress).Take care!

Mais mon dieu mais quel commentaire barbare. Tu n'a pas appris a vivre toi. T'a juste ca a faire insulter les gens qui aide les autres. I was trying to help someone and this guy farmerart is insulting [view link]!

^^^^^^^^^^^ Not insulting you, pal: nor your noble intentions to help this young lady. But your French is so disgusting that it hurts my eyes to read it; even though French is my second language. Please learn how to conjugate verbs. Knowing the difference between masculine and feminine would make you seem maybe semi-literate in the noble French language. Mixing plural pronouns with singular verbs is the gibberish of three-year olds as is the use of plural modifiers with singular nouns. If you ever get a handle on these rudimentary basics of this lovely language, come back and see me so we can talk about syntax, sentence structure, and style.

"Please learn how to conjugate verbs" So what do you call someone who is illiterate in TWO languages? "I was trying to help someone" Am I missing something? Isn't the original thread two years old? Somehow I doubt "Sara" is still waiting for an answer. Sheesh!

steve, When this "popped" up, I scanned through it and saw comments I made. I thought, "Damn was I drunk last evening?" Then I noticed the date. So I guess sexybian had nothing to do but look at ancient posts. :)

@steve229 & clubber: Making the most of my time before getting back to work on Monday, I got seriously blotto last night. Why are the keys on my laptop so noisy as I make this post today? 2009, you say? Why do my posts on this topic make me sound like such an ass? Sheesh...................................!

I say phoenix is the best place to work with out doing extra. Some clubs you could work with a license to dance. What most dancer do in AZ is work October to may at least 3 times a week and make enough money where they only work once a week in sumer and early fall. The housing is relatively cheap and the quality of living is nice.
