I think that is from the movie "White Lightning". If I recall correctly, there is another strip club scene towards the end where Chloe and another dancer perform.

I fell in love with Jazz in the mid 70s. About 15 years ago I realized that everything I know about rock I have picked up in strip clubs.

Miami, FL (or the nearest big-booty club)
That has happened to me twice over my years visiting strip clubs. The first time I waited for 30 seconds and then went back to my table. After five minutes, the dancer returned and asked me why I left. I told her she seemed more interested in the other guy than me so I wasn't going to wait. She apologised and offered a free dance. I took her up on the offer and the dances were great. She danced for me over the next few years and they were always great.
The second time after I returned to my table, another dancer came over and told me that i had not been treated very good by the first dancer and offered to treat me the way customers deserved to be treated. She did and became a favorite until she quit.
Remember, they need your money more than you need them to dance for you, so act accordingly. Making a customer wait is poor customer service no matter whether it is in a strip club or a restaurant.

Summarize the club up front. Say I had fun, it wasn't worth the money, this is the best club around, this is not the best club around, this club isn't worth going to, this club is worth going to; things along that line.
After summarizing the club, I usually write the review how I visit the club, if it is hard to find, tips on finding it, parking situation, front door situation, if they wand you or scan your ID, cover, coupons available, club layout, number of dancers, preferred seating places, drink prices, tipping customs, quality of dances on the floor and in the VIP rooms. I like to recommend dancers without telling too much about their dances so as not to get them in trouble. Then summarize the whole thing.
If there are other clubs in the area that are better or different, mention those as a traveler may not know.
If you use the old tell em what you are going to tell them, tell them, tell them what you told them format, you can't go wrong. Same with the high school 5 paragraph essay format; the first paragraph summarizes three things you want to say about the club, then a paragraph on each of the three things, then a summary paragraph that summarizes the three things you told them.
Or you can emulate a format of a reviewer you particularly like. Don't copy the review, that is plagiarism, just the format.

I usually add a $1 to whatever change I have coming back. On a beer, that is usually a good tip.

Can't help you with LA and Latina clubs, but I can help you with posting a review. Go to Clubs on the menu bar, select United States, select the state, and then select the city. You will get a list of clubs. Select the club you want to post a review for. There will be a button for "Add a Review" Click it. There is a form to fill out with some questions to answer as well as an area to write your review. When done, proof read it and submit it. Looking forward to reading your reviews.

I have not been to XTC Cabaret in Austin, but I have been to other BYOB establishments.
1.Most BYOB places will let you bring in beer, wine, or hard liquor.
2. Bringing beer in a paper bag is OK. Many places will sell you a bucket of ice to keep it cold. I have been to a couple of places that will put it in a cooler for you and serve you your beer out of a cooler. I have even been to a club where there is a guy at door who will run over to the adjacent liquor store and buy your beer for you.
3. Rules on sharing your liquor with ladies vary, but offer and they will tell you whether or not they can share. In most places that allow the ladies to share, you will attract dancers if you have your own liquor or beer.
4. Paper bag is OK.
Some places will not let you leave with an open container, so as to avoid trouble with law enforcement. So if you are bringing in liquor, bring in the smallest bottle you can; half pints if they sell them, or minis if they are available. You will have to pay for setups; even a glass with ice, or a soft drink with ice. Prices for these are usually reasonable. If you share, you will probably have to buy a setup for each person you share with.
If you get setups, or ice to cool your beer, or if someone brings you beer from the cooler, be sure to tip them.
BYOB is a convenient way to get alcohol in a nonalcohol club, but it will seldom save you much money. Perhaps someone from Austin can comment specifically on what goes on there. This is really a cultural thing, varying from one geographic area to another.
The place will usually guide you into doing what is typical, but dont' be afraid to ask questions if you are uncertain on how things go.

This criticism of SJG is harsh and, I think, unwarranted. The big complaint I have with SJG is that he doesn't review clubs. But, he constructively contributes to discussions, and while criticizing those he doesn't agree with, he does refrain from personal name calling and attacks. He isn't Shadowcat, but then few of us are.

Snow and ice can sublimate, that is transition from solid (snow or ice) to vapor, at temperatures below freezing, A dry climate and higher altitude help, we see it in NM all the time.

Everything written by this member is a fact.
I try to tip every dancer at least once in a visit, and some every time they dance, as long as I am not getting a lap or VIP dance. If I sit at the rail, I tip once per song. Usual tip is $1 here. I think all of the dancers appreciate tipping at the stage, and I have had dancers tell me that they were glad I tipped so and so because so and so doesn't get many tips. I think tipping builds good will and that is good at a strip club. Plus, you never know when you need to find a new favorite.

Forget San Diego. At its best, Cheetah's, it is mediocre.
For Phoenix, try the Blue Moon first, then the Hi-Liter. I think that the Tucson clubs are uniformly better than the Phoenix ones, but you probably won't find the equivalent of the Blue Moon there.
You may want to add Albuquerque, TD's North is a good club and occasionally great. For a general road trip, there are other attraction in NM that are great.
I would also add El Paso, either Cabaret, Red Parrot, or Foxy.
Just some thoughts. Things change sharply in strip club land, so ask again before you go.

TUSCL’s #1 Soothsayer!
I am somewhat surprised that he is here at all, given the fact that he has zero reviews, which indicates to me he doesn't visit clubs and his posts seem to indicate that he doesn't like them. While discussions are interesting, reviews are the bread and butter of this site, and someone who has no reviews clearly isn't pulling his weight. I understand that the clubs in San Jose/Sunnyvale/Santa Clara are pretty pathetic, or at least they were when I last visited, 20 years ago, but even a review of those clubs would be useful just so people would know what to expect. Just my $0.02 worth. Please, SJG; go to, and review a club.

Do you ever review strip clubs? Or even go to them? This is, after all a strip club list? Not complaining, just wondering. I just see posts from you about everything but your current experiences in strip clubs. I realize that San Jose is not the best place to go clubbing, but surely you get out to places that are good for clubbing?

When I first signed up , I wanted to use hardlap for my user name, but it was taken, so I chose, what else? Harderlap. It is hte next step after Hardlap. I haven't seen any posts from Hardlap for over 10 years, so I expect that hardlap is still available, but I prefer having a harderlap.

There used to be a small "casino" in Rapid City that offered topless dealers and bartenders, who operated behind a central bar serving as a table for card games. There were a few slot machines besides. Not much of a casino, and the topless dealers had to put on their tops when they were out from behind the bar. Not much of an experience, except in the sense that it was an oddity in the topless world.
