OT: Is Tom Brady the greatest QB of all time?
Funny you should bring this up, rick. I vaguely recall a recent article where Brady named Montana as the greatest quarterback of all time. There are several metrics that can be used to determine who is the greatest. Yet a casual glance at the modern era QB's in the Hall of Fame shows that almost all have won at least some conference championships, if not a (or multiple) Super Bowls. Winning playoff/championship games seems to carry a lot of weight. Joe Montana has a 4-0 record in Super Bowls, and a 4-3 record in conference championship games. (net 8-3 in the BIG games, a .727 percentage.) Bart Starr (Packers) has the best Championship Game record at 9-1 (.900 winning percentage.) Brady is 4-2 in Super Bowls, and (I think) 6-3 in Conference Championship games, net 10-5, a .667 percentage. For sure Tom Brady belongs in the list of greats like Montana, Starr, Staubach, Elway, Favre, etal. I'm not ready to catapult him to the front of the list. When I feel I have more time on my hands, I'll try to dig up the comeback records of all the great quarterbacks. For sure, Brady has come through in the clutch when needed. But so have the other great ones- Elway, Montana, and , yes, Peyton Manning have led some spectacular comebacks. (Lets not forget that Peyton Mannings' 2 different teams have beaten Brady's Patriots in 2 league championship games, including coming back from a deficit of 18 points in Colts vs Pats in 2007.) I think P. Manning will be enshrined in Canton, but I agree with others that his star will be somewhat tarnished by his playoff record (~.450 vs Tom Brady's ~.750).

They never tell you what you need to know.
Who will win he Super Bowl this weekend?
Disclaimer: I don't really like either team, but I'm picking the Seahawks simply because of the way they came back against Green Bay. Many teams that have made a miraculous comeback during the playoffs have won bigger playoff games. (Remember the 2012 season Ravens victory over the Broncos). Conversely, teams coming off a lopsided win don't always do so well in subsequent games. You can google a bunch of playoff games going back nearly 50 years, and see where this is so. I can recall the 1967 playoffs where the Cowboys beat the Browns 52-14 only to lose the NFL Championship game to the Packers on a last seconds QB sneak by Bart Starr. Meanwhile on the then AFL Championship game, the Raiders beat the Oilers by a lopsided 40-7, then lost to the Packers in Super Bowl 2. Those with more time on their hands than me can fill in some more examples of lopsided playoff victors not doing as well in subsequent games.

".....think outside the box". Lol at the closing phrase in video. The irony of it was not lost on me. This reminds me of a joke punchline. The joke concerns a hot coed upon the conclusion of her pre-admission physical telling the doc that her boyfriend likes anal sex with her. She asks if it is possible to get pregnant from anal sex. The doc replies: "Certainly! Where do you think the lawyers came from?"

    Clubbing in a blizzard
Rick- Mons Venus in Tampa is reputed to have stayed open, even in a hurricane, though the hurricane(s) in question there then weren't as bad as the initial landfall places. Even if club did stay open, there remains the question of how many dancers would show up. Further digression: Teddy Roosevelt (26th U.S.President) walked to an appointment he had with someone during the infamous NYC 1888 Blizzard. TR was PO'd that the guy no showed . Are you going to be a Teddy Roosevelt, Rick?

What is the best strip club to take my wife to in the Anaheim/LA/COI area?
gmd- oink-oink, thinking the same thing. I would think that with the vast area mentioned that he'd ask for the best route to take for club visit. Getting caught in a freeway jam would negate the tuscl review study time that he just saved.

Another Mustang GT owner here. In addition to John Smith's comments, the Mustang can carry a lot of stuff, with fold down rear seat. Another thing I like about it is it is still a bit "old school". As in not being so dependent on an electronic key fob for things like keyless entry and start. As for next car, maybe I'll get a Vette again if I stumble upon the next Amazon or Microsoft.

    New England Patriots
"....nobody in the AFC will beat them in Foxboro." Knightline, the Ravens beat the Pats 2 times in the playoffs in Foxboro (09 season wildcard round, 12 season conference championship). Only a botched field goal by Ravens in closing minutes prevented them form upsetting the Pats (2011 season) a 3rd time. All teams start the playoffs at 0-0.

All of the above, though I have a soft spot for thick cuts. Porterhouse, or London Broil in particular, at least medium rare. (I don't want to hear the cow moo, had some bad experiences with undercooked steaks.) Prefer charbroiled.

    I probably shouldn't ask but...
Did it ever occur to OP that she should ask dancers or their boyfriends that question rather than stripclub customers ? Followup question for Diva: Would a dancer entering a relationship with average tuscl member demonstrate good taste on her part ?

You guys like a manly breakfast?
My favorite when my trips took me to lopaws neck of the woods was the Sunday Champagne brunch at the Proud Bird. Besides the usual breakfast fare (omelets made to order), they had roast beef, turkey, ham, shrimp, etc. available. Mexican and Chinese fares were also on the table. I've heard a saying that one should eat like a king for breakfast, a prince for lunch, and a peasant for dinner. (I don't always follow that guideline.)

Rick, I'm sure by now you've learned to listen to your gut feeling. If the ducks aren't quite lined up, why press it ? After a break/recharge, your next visit will seem that much better. Some of my best times have been right after a break in the routine.

Young enough to be my daughter
IMO, you're overthinking, rick. Unless you actually have a 20 something daughter, I'd hardly give it a 2nd thought. There can be a vast age range between fathers "handing out cigars" from teenager, to 50 something plus.

    Do you approach dancers?
gmd said it best, yet I can see Rick Dugan's pov, too. Something about getting the best deal from a "motivated seller." Yet it seems to be one of those laws of nature that the less attractive dancers seem to be the ones doing the most approaching. Sometimes, one needs to be proactive to get the desired dancer(s). One thing not touched upon in this thread is the practice of having a club employee (waitress, or "host") send a dancer over. Unless I'm at least somewhat familiar with dancer, this is not generally a good idea. I made this mistake once several years ago, and got the upsell routine, Ultimately, the dance was rather lame. This approach makes one appear eager, and thus in a weaker negotiating position.

    Whoops
Guy goes into a restaurant, and orders a bowl of soup. He notices the elderly waiter has his thumb in the soup. When he asks the waiter why he is doing that, waiter explains that he has poor blood circulation and that doing so helps keep his thumb warm. Patron gets indignant, saying "that is so tacky, as far as I'm concerned, you can just stick your thumb up your ass." Waiter replies "my good sir, that is where I put it before I brought your soup to your table."

Interesting, londonguy. As I zoomed in on the scale of the map, I started seeing numbers on the red dots. Not sure if that denoted the number of bombs that fell in that location, or the week/day of the blitz that it fell. Whatever- those days were your country's "finest hour". Kudos, and thanks for posting interesting link.
