    Football playoffs coming up!
Some interesting possibilities for "Avenger Bowl" (a team that lost prior SB meets the team that beat them for a chance to avenge loss). I'll list the losing team, the winning team, and year of the SB: Patriots vs Giants (08, 12); Patriots vs Packers (97); Dolphins vs Cowboys (72); Chiefs vs Packers (67); Raiders vs Packers (68); Seahawks vs Patriots (15). The Cowboys vs Steelers would make a great Avenger Bowl because both teams have beaten each other. Cowboys would look to even the score with the Steelers (for 1976 and 1979 SB losses). The Steelers would love to get the Cowboys for spoiling their prior 4-0 SB record back in 1996.

    Homeless People / Beggers
Two interesting takes: 1) Panhandlers have been hitting up strippers too. One stripper bought beggar a large sub at a nearby Subway in lieu of just handing over $. 2) Some have gotten more creative. One ruse on a crowded night in one club was to wave at cars coming in, directing one to parking spot, and then coming up to car and asking for money. Of course I knew that parking was free so I said no dice. I made sure to inform mgr/bouncer when I entered club so that other patrons wouldn't get conned. My civic duty for the night....

Strip Clubs That Make You Pay to Get to the Lap Dance Area
IME, most clubs don't, but a fair number do. Two Tampa clubs (2001, Scarlets) charge a $5 fee each time to go to basic area, though the former has wristband Wednesdays where $5 purchase of wristband allows unlimited visits. It's been several years, but I recall Centerfolds-Phoenix charging a flat fee ($10?) for unlimited trips to more private area off the floor. In Indy, Ricks and PT's might still do this. Like cover charges, overpriced drinks, etc., some things you just have to shrug as a cost of doing business.

Thanks for the TR link, Chili. As my OG visits took place in the later half of the 90's, I'm grateful to have experienced OG during its' heyday, rather than during the declining years. I recall an attractive dancer shift- virtually nobody less than an "8". The dancers dancing at OG in the 90's would be the caliber of the ones dancing at Rhino and Sapphires today.

Which celebrities or adult stars have you seen at the SC?
I don't recall recognizing any "conventional" celebs at club, though one of the Sauget IL clubs (Pt's or then Diamond Cabaret) announced that Dick Butkus was in the house. Some of the highest profile adult/porn performers I've seen include Teri Weigel, Venus Delite, Christy Canyon, Blondage (Janine L & Julia Ann), Tera Patrick. I likely left out a few names.

    Stage tipping practices
larry f, 48hr, and others nailed it wrt A-C. As for D, I can't say I've seen an ugly dancer put on an energetic/good show. D dancers are often in the lapable category, but not always high on my wish list. One reason being I've found such dancers performance in the back is sometimes more centered on putting on an awesome dance routine instead of a good intimate encounter. I've also occasionally found that category D dancers occasionally get so wrapped up in their stage/pole routine that they're oblivious to motivated tippers. So, I'll only stand by stage with bill(s) in hand for only so long.

Nice try, gawker. I got a few chuckles, but your narrative begs to be dissected.......... 1) I'm in early 60's, and my primary reason for going to Hooters is still the babes with nice racks and tight shorts. 2) Wtf Chicago ? CA guy has to fly longer flights than NY counterpart every time. Why not alternate western and eastern locales. Chicago vs Pebble Beach or Myrtle Beach ? Gmafb!! 3) Any dude that keeps asking why his bud wants to go to Hooters without offering a viable alternative has to be a real dullard. 4) There's plenty of other sports bars that have cold beer and big screen TV's around. 5) A 50 yo who thinks Hooters has good food ? One would think that he would have had a better developed and more discerning palate many years ago. 6) I have yet to find a Hooters that has plenty of parking, let alone 6HC spots "right by the door."

    Dancer:Customer Ratios
@HG- Please do tell the club where it happened. Maybe you already have, we'll just have to scroll through a slew of your reviews during the last quarter of a blowout football game. @S-man- Where did I say I'm a ratio immune guy ? I used the qualifier "most any given shift". I try to avoid the really peak nights because I dislike crowds, period. Can you really have fun if you have to elbow your way through a 2 deep plus SRO crowd to tip desired dancers. I've managed to snag my top choice on such nights, but it overall hasn't been as enjoyable as less crowded nights with more breathing space. I don't completely agree with your theory. Yes we all have different clubbing styles. Just because someone doesn't go to a club to lock down a dancer for 4 hours doesn't make them a wham bam extras seeker, or a wastrel. Some people don't need 4 hours to get a desired level of satisfaction. You're making my point with your style. Picture this: Afternoon shift, 6 dancers, 3 customers. 2:1 D/C ratio, good odds , right ? Well, suppose 3 dancers aren't my type, and my most desired dancer is locked down. My desired second choice disappears to dressing room, and remaining choice is giving multiple LD's to other customer. Recipe for fun? I like my odds better on off peak night with maybe 15 dancers and 30 customers. There's a good chance that 15 of those guys are duds, and there are more hot dancers going around. So the real ratio may be 1:1. Not too bad.

    Dancer:Customer Ratios
Dancer/Customer ratios are something that I've given no thought to for factoring in my club enjoyment. My gripe about late night peak shifts isn't the 1:5 ratio, it's that with 30 to 50 dancers, 150 or more customers crammed into the club can be too damn crowded to be enjoyable.Period, dot. Really, a higher percentage of daytime customers are there to buy, vs so many night customers that are just there to look and don't buy dances. Afaic, my real odds of getting one or more desired dancers are about the same on most any given shift. Then, too, dancers feed off the crowd levels. More crowd, more circulating dancers. Less crowd, dancers spending more time in dressing room buried in their I-phones, or out on the smoking patio taking a long drag.

    Overweight Strippers
+1 on JS69, plus a good personality. One category I see a fair ammount of are dancers normal weight or not much overweight with a flaccid belly. Flaccidity becomes more obvious when she gets down on all fours. Not an automatic DQ item for me, but something that might put her lower in my rotation.

    Locked down by a whale
Entirely hypothetical, as in who the hell spends 6 hours in a club ? I'm sure some people have, but many if not most customers don't. Furthermore, how many people spend $1K in a club ? Then, as some posters have pointed out, dancers can be locked down for much less than $1K. Also that locking down the dancer for a few hours in the club is merely a prelude to interesting things OTC. To answer OP's question, I think most any dancer will go with a whale. Sure thing, less work, etc. I don't think it is necessarily the smartest thing to do long term, but how many dancers think beyond the latest "due" bill. So called "whale" may be a wealthy out of towner who maybe comes once a month, or maybe 3-4 times per year. Meanwhile, several of those "loser non-whales" may be a reliable once a week (or more) customer. While not spending as much as the whale, they can be counted on for a good chunk of $$ more consistently. Dancers need customers to pick up the slack when the whale isn't in town. If a guy gets too many blue ball nights with a whale dancer, they'll gravitate to alternative dancers on whale night as well as slack nights. I recall a visit many years ago where Dancer A, and at least 2 other dancers were locked down by 1 guy at a table. All they did was give him a back rub the whole frigging hour or so I was there. No LD's/VIP for that guy. I got maybe 1 mediocre dance before bailing. Several weeks later, I have another trip into town, and Dancer A is almost crying crocodile tears. No Mr. Whale tonight (I never saw him again in the club for the next 5 plus years of regular trips there.) I said, no thanks, I'm going with Dancer B, and C tonight. Karma can be a bitch.

what do you do with your luggage?
Sounds like g95 is working on a tight budget wrt time and $$. In scenario #1, are you saying "check in" wrt connecting flight, or wrt layover hotel ? If the later, are your time constraints so tight that you can't even check into the hotel first, shower, change clothes, and take a cab to club ? If the former, I've given it some thought, but wouldn't dream of trying it unless there was at least 3 hours between flights. For the later scenario, I'd just rent a car prior to hotel check in, and be sure to turn in rental car plenty of time before the departure time.

My question for you: How kindly would British public take to someone dissing the royal family at a public event ? I'm guessing that you're regarding an American sitting during the national anthem as an act akin to a Brit dissing the royal family.

SC, you raise an interesting topic for this leg man here. I very much appreciate a fine set of smooth, silky legs. There are 2 dancers at 1 fave nude club that are a bit on the swarthy side. Although their dances are good, I put them much lower in my rotation for this very reason. On another topic, I've noticed that dancers who very much favor wearing stockings do so to cover up unshaved legs. Those dancers get a punt from me on the dances.
