This guy came in with a cowboy hat on. He kept rambling to himself and cracking jokes. He had an accent like he was from the Midwest. He was nice and I did a few dances for him he was holding onto his hat oddly and I asked him about it he said it had money in it. At 1 am he went into the bathroom and came out dressed as the pope and waived as he walked around the club.

I’ve had enough experience with the ones I’ve met to feel that way. Maybe not hate but there is always a superiority complex because at the end of the day they are still privileged once they remove their caricature and no, implicit bias because of my experiences are not the same as explicit bias or racism.

I’ve noticed the younger guys love the enhanced cartoonish looking figures. The older guys seem to still love slim girls. I’ve gained about 10 pounds of muscle and I definitely get more attention in general now.

I’m the only dancer at my club on weeknights who doesn’t smoke cigarettes. My dancer friend is trying to quit so she’s moved on to juul and a lot of the girls have started vaping instead so if you include e cigs 95%. It’s stress combined with how addictive cigs are and that for some people they quit one bad habit to start a new one.

Maybe because I’m in NYC but I see this all the time. It is not normally a casual family friend but a boss, mentor or SD. I’ve had platonic SD’s that wanted to go to dance classes or yoga even ice skating and attend family friendly events during Christmas. I don’t think op is being overly judgmental by questioning a couple out and about.

Ricks, the former flashdancers will become Sapphire midtown because the 60th st location is eventually going to close. Private eyes is going to become the new flash and hustler those are the ones I’ve heard for sure are safe. Any clubs that operated under the 60/40 rule basically are in danger.
