Late actually works for me just great. I'll have more time to get back to Atlanta from here. I'll plan to try it out around 4-5...if there's a better time, I'm all ears. Even going to open up the wallet a bit more based on Rech's report.
Oh: in what should come as a shock to no one, cops are out in force in GA. Be careful on the roads. Got stopped once - no ticket: asked me about my tint, which is factory.

Finally going to Follies Sunday night. I'd have preferred a dayshift since that seems to be the consensus preference (and it sounds more like my speed), but the schedule likely won't allow - and I imagine a Sunday day shift is different than other days anyway.

I guess since I'm used to black dance clubs where the DJ talks a lot, that kind of thing doesn't really bother me.
Outside of that, there's probably a little bit of reason this awful occurrence. The biggest part I can think of is that it was Tuesday afternoon. Management probably felt that it was as good a time as any to let some young/new guys try different things out (DJs often refine/hone their mixes during off-peak times before using them during peak times). "No one's here anyway, so what will it hurt"...probably why the dancers played along: might have been trying to get through the midweek blues. Also, it's The Body Club. I've only been there once, but the DJ actually saved my night with his talking and playing music because the dancers were trash.
As someone mentioned (or at least alluded to) above, pretty much all black strip club DJs are wannabe black dance club DJs. Dance club gigs are much more lucrative and high-profile, and they help you get noticed by artists for tours and such. If you're working a Tuesday afternoon shift at a strip club and you're dressed as Papi described, you're about two steps up from Pandora.
I can't recall ever hearing the DJs at Mint or Foxy going off topic, though. It's either "here's this dancer" or "y'all better start tipping". The one time I can recall a DJ talking too much was at 2001 in Tampa.
Papi, you're probably not as irritated in mixed clubs because your expectations are likely lower there. Usually I rate my club visits on a ratio-type basis: fun I actually have divided by fun I expect to have. Keeping the denominator low helps keep the pressure off the numerator. I have a problem with service at black clubs too, but my issue is with the dancers. Nine out of 10, the approach (minor thing) and dancing (obviously major thing) will be so far below that I'd rather pay $25 a dance at Tootsies than $5 at a Lexx or Mint or TBC.

I don't smoke, won't get a dance from a smoker. It's just unattractive, and smokers almost always smell like smoke. Usually girls will ask if I mind them smoking. I'll say yes, and then they're rewarded for waiting.

Sheesh: didn't know Greenville was that far north of Augusta. I wanted to try out Follies anyway, but I can probably only make it that Thursday night. I know dayshift is great, but family obligations will keep me in Augusta so I can only hit Atlanta on the way there or on the way back.
My line of thinking was that South Carolina is so small that it might scare all the clubs in the state...but it turns out there aren't any SCs anywhere close to Augusta anyway - and I've read the reviews about the ones in Augusta, so that's not an option. Maybe I should just have family fun (sigh) and not worry about it...yeah right: I'll hit Follies and/or Pin Ups that Thursday on the way.

I don't have a preference, although I've never dated anyone who's not black. I've tried, but none have been equally interested. One thing I have noticed, though; is that my preferences seem to be steering away from black women. Most of the women I've had sex with since the end of my last relationship have been white, and non-black women tend to catch my eye more. I haven't made any conscious decision to not date black women, though: it wouldn't ever get that far. The last woman I was somewhat on a relationship path with is black. I just happen to see more white women in my daily life (this would be different if I went out more).
Speaking more "locally", I do notice that I don't get dances from black strippers at non-black clubs. My "logic" is that if I want a black dancer, I'll go to a black club where I have more options. That said, I really don't even go to black clubs as much as I used to. The dances just aren't as good for mer as they are at other places (comparing a Playpen to a 2001 in Tampa or a Mint Lounge to a Tootsies in Miami). I like going where I can get the best dances: the details don't matter...and yes, I can get more out of one dance at Tootsies than five at Mint.
I guess the other part of this is that non-black women are more attracted to me than black women are. Most black women I know want guys who are over six feet tall, have beards, and are slightly overweight. I fit none of those.
Speaking to the Sharpe article a bit: for me, #5 (infatuation with name brands) doesn't bother me at all. Only one of my exes cared about name brands. They're not slutty enough to/for me (#4), probably because of the stuff in the above paragraph. I don't know if just about all of them have kids (#3): I know plenty who don't. Number two (obesity) is nothing but the truth. You know how hard it is to find a black woman under 150 pounds? It's gotten so bad that being under 200 is unpopular - and if you're under 200 as a black man, you may as well not even exist. As far as them not acting feminine, eh...just don't disagree with me all the time for the sake of doing so.
Honestly, it's all really simple. In or out of the club: if black women were more attracted to me, I'd be more attracted to them. I don't have time to chase or convince them.

Stage moves...eh.
LD moves, I'm really simple. If she's facing me with both feet on the bench/sofa, I'm good. She has room to move, I have room to move, I can pick her up if she's comfortable with it, she can motorboat me, I can see her face (if I don't like her face, I'm not in the LD room with her to begin with), and she has to put a little more effort into the dance. It's far easier for girls to act - or be - distracted when they're not facing you.

Miami bass music, easily: Luke, 2 Live Crew, 69 Boyz, 95 South, and so on. KOD needs to have a night like that: it'd be the only way I'd show up on any day other than a Monday. Outside that, I'll take whatever music the girls like - which I imagine would be current rap in most cases.

Gone to the spaceship twice. First time was worth every penny. Second time, not so much. I can't even say to make sure you get the right girl if you go, because the second girl's sales pitch was so much "more involved" than the first. It should be on anyone's bucket list, though.

gawker - strange as this likely sounds, that's not an automatic turnoff to me. I'd be willing to bet that Palin's a freak (unlike, say, Michele Bachmann, who I imagine to be the definition of prude). Back to Tina, though; it probably helps that I've never seen the skits. I don't really connect the two...but even if, I wouldn't automatically tell Palin no. Long as she doesn't talk, we're good.

I'm going over, for pretty much the same reasons everyone else mentioned. Prescribed weights tend to skew low anyway, so that makes the upper limit that much more acceptable.

Ballers, the lot of you...if I lived in a place with SCs, I couldn't see myself averaging over $100 a week. As is, I wait until I travel and then I do my damage. My guess is that I spend $200-300 on an average night on multiple nights (when I went out of town earlier this month, I went out seven different days/nights out of ten).

Only lie I tell is my name, and I only do that because no one ever hears me when I say my real name (which isn't complicated at all). They hear "Brian" just fine so it skips the "what'd you say" bit and gets through the small talk SS/CS stuff faster. If they could hear my real name, I'd use it...but alas.
