This guy doesn’t necessarily look for value
I wouldn't even want to tell that story...speaking of, a girl I was eyeing Saturday went VIP with a guy at about 1:30. I figured "okay, won't see her for an hour" and went on about my business. I saw her walk out at 1:59. Couldn't stop laughing inside.

I think most strip club DJs (especially at black spots) want to be dance club DJs for multiple reasons, so they tailor their styles toward that.

I agree with Clubber. "Whom to seek" is a little personal and probably needs to stay under wraps. "Whom to avoid" is for everyone. Actually, ROB info in all areas is for everyone. That's part of why we're here.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with being born in '78...but seriously, a 2-for-1 being a sign that she likes you? No. Dancers will do a lot more than that, and still not be willing to spit on you to save you from burning unless you tip them. Ask her on a genuine regular date. You'll get your answer...and I (figuratively) bet a lapper you won't like it.

This has only happened to me in dives. I wish a girl would try that someplace where I was spending more than $5 a song. Even at $5, it's still rather annoying. It's been a while since that's happened, but I imagine if it were to happen in the future I'd stop the dances at the end of that song and tell her why I'm stopping the dances...just because I know how much dancers love feedback.

I totally agree, motorhead. I didn't recognize Kara at first when she started doing analysis on ESPN. "Same Kara Lawson that played for Tennessee - that Kara Lawson?" was the thought that kept running through my head. Lost in all the hubbub surrounding Don Imus' comment several years ago was the fact that he said Tennessee usually has pretty girls on their team, and he was right about that. To steer it back to news, World News Now has an amazing list: Reena Ninan is simply continuing the tradition of Asha Blake, Alison Stewart (if you haven't seen her since the MTV days you'll be surprised), Taina Hernandez, Gigi Stone*, Vinita Nair, Diana Perez, and Marci Gonzalez. *That reminds me: I forgot about Michele Steele at ESPN (they were at Bloomberg together).

That reminds me: I remember when a bunch of people thought Sage Steele was related to Misty Stone when she started on SportsCenter. My cousin would kill me if he saw that I forgot about Robin Meade. If Bonnie Schneider is still doing weather, she certainly fits too.

This is all I do. There are so many attractive women between the various stations and networks that it makes no sense to watch anyone else. ABC's World News Now - which has had attractive women for pretty much its entire 20-year existence - has Reena Ninan. CBS' after-hours show has Anne-Marie Green. Tamron Hall is on Today, and has her own show at 11 on msnbc. CNN has the still-nice-at-50 Fredricka Whitfield. ABC also has Linzie Janis and Mara Schiavocampo on reporting, while CBS has Marlie Hall. Bloomberg has Caroline Hyde (who's dropped a little bit in the past couple years) and Mia Saini (assuming she's dropped the baby weight). HLN has Melissa Knowles. That's before you get into the two crown jewels of TV: ESPN and Al Jazeera. Those two have so many women it's unfair. Partial lists for each... ESPN: Lisa Salters, Sara Walsh, Prim Siripipat, Britt McHenry, Nicole Manske (she really came up in the last couple of years), Josina Anderson, Wendi Nix (I think she's still there), Jade McCarthy, Doris Burke, Kara Lawson Al Jazeera: Richelle Carey, Morgan Radford, Maryam Nemazee, Farrah Esmail, Nicole Mitchell, Jalelah Ahmed (assuming she's still there), Stephanie Sy (you have to see a full-body to really appreciate her), Soledad O'Brien We have no one - and I mean no one - here in Tallahassee. There are some fine ones in South Florida, though; especially on Channels 7 and 10.

    I need Tampa/St. Pete advice
If you like black girls, after-hours at Playpen is awesome...well, actually it's hit or miss. When it hits, it's awesome. When it misses...well, could be even better if you're more into the private/VIP scene. It doesn't really get started until well after 3 and it stays open until at least 6 (I've left at that time and it didn't look like it was closing soon). I'm going myself in a couple weeks: while I plan on hitting my usual spots (2001 and Playpen), I'm going to venture out as well. Definitely want to see what the Pasco scene is like. Hoping they take well to darker shades of green.

What are some of the best compliments you heard a dancer tell you?
"I want you to come home with me - for free"...I didn't take her up on it because she had 7 kids, I wanted to go to a dance club later, and there was a small chance she was setting me up for a lick (robbery).

    Rejecting a dancer
I think the most polite thing I say is "I promised another dancer I'd spend time with her" or "I'm waiting for someone"...which I only say when it's true. If I'm somewhat interested in them, I'll also let them know (if not, I just don't say anything past the first part).

Where are you more likely to be shot ?
My guess would be outside a regular dance club: lots more people, usually lots more fights. Other than the place that used to be here, I don't think I've ever seen a fight in a SC. Regular club: totally different story. People can't take beatdowns like men anymore and bring the heat.

Like Papi said, I think it's more of a dive/upscale difference than a black/white difference. I'd have to go back almost three years to remember the last time I got a dance at KOD that was on par with 75-80% of the dances I've gotten at Inner Room (not that I'd call IR a dive, but it's the cheapest white club I know). Maybe it's different for me - not necessarily because I'm black - but I actually find my mileage to be higher at white clubs. Papi's comment about the difference in customer treatment is the absolute truth: I promise he and I could hit a club together and get dances from the same girls and he would get much higher mileage and better treatment than I would. Hmm, now I wonder if the reverse would be true and explain my relative success in white clubs.

Definitely Mons Venus. It's not even close. I may try it one more time when I'm in Tampa next month just to be sure, but I'll probably wise up and spend that money across the street.

    OT: Prejudices and Presumptions.
The only one I really have is that dancers with the supposed "all-American" look (particularly blondes) won't bother to ask me for dances. I think I've gotten dances from two blondes my entire SC career - one of whom clearly wasn't natural.

Yup: Overtown, Liberty City, Opa Locka, 79th Street (between NE 4th and NW 17th)...those are the places I'd watch my back. Some parts of Little Havana too, since my Spanish isn't what it used to be. Wouldn't even think twice about Miami Gardens or Carol City.

Does your Club allow entry of cellphones?
If you don't want my phone in the club, that means you don't want anything else that's in my pockets in the club either. Thankfully, I've never had that problem.

Speaking of cell phones in the Strip Club ...
I play spades on it when songs I don't like come on or when there's no appreciable talent nearby. Maybe watch sports if the game I want to see isn't on in the club...basically, the same things I use it for when I'm outside the club.

Would you pay twice your normal lap dance price to get dances from a hot 9 versu
Absolutely not. If the LD is more appealing to my sense of sight than any of the other four, it's not worth having.

I live in Tallahassee. It is awful here, but I'm thankful in a way because it allows me to save money and spend it when I travel out of town (usually to places with great SCing like Tampa, South Florida, Atlanta, and New Orleans). If I were in Orlando, I'd just drive to IR.
