I'm with Ermita_Nights. In the mid-'90's a club I went to regularly had a feature every single week! But, as E-M mentioned, I also feel that that form of entertainment is passe now. Also, like E-M I got polaroids with two different feature dancers. Mine were in 1995 at the Rouge, Van Nuys, CA (Known as Bob's Classy Lady then.) My ATF, but whom I am no longer in contact with, pretty much treated me like a king when I was with her ITC and OTC, but two of the three times she got a boy friend while I knew her, she then treated me like I was an absolute nuisance to her. I was a sucker for allowing that to happen a second time. I should have just abandoned her after the first time. GMD, you probably should too.

I've had the same thing happen to me before. Fortunately, I also recovered the lens. It was a contributing reason for my reverting back to glasses. Besides when you're that close to a voluptous girl's boobage, its really only a sensory experience, not a visual one. So, why not make it easier on yourself to enjoy the time in Cleavage Canyon?

Some clubs also have an "amateur night." If any clubs in your area have that, I suggest you attend a few of them. Not all contestants that enter are amateurs. Some are dancers from other clubs, just trying to win the prize money. Others are dancers from other clubs that want to change clubs, and the club management has told them that it is preferred that they participate in the amateur contest to get hired.
Also, go to some of the clubs in your area, just to see what they're like and what all transpires there. Be sure to go at the time of day you have available to work. The day shift is much different from the night shift in most all clubs.

I'm with Clubber. I have the same story. Same price. Except mine was at a bikini bar in Reseda, CA. I can't even remember it's name anymore. Anyone here from the San Fernando Valley that could help? It was on Sherman Way, south side, a couple of doors west of Reseda Blvd. Your basic hole-in-the-wall beer bar. I never asked to choose the music. I couldn't wait to get rid of waitress shaking the coffee can full of change in my ear. I recall the place died by the mid-1980's. The next tenant in that space was a religious bookstore!

There's also a mixed-company version of FUBAR: "Fouled up beyond all recognition." I have heard of Jacklash's explanation before. It's intesting that today "SNAFU" is quite a socially acceptable term. I've heard it used on TV and radio. I don't hear FUBAR used very much.

There's a variation on Stiletto's idea that I've done with numerous dancers. Offer to take her out to lunch or dinner, but right before she's due to go to work. That's even less inocuous, than setting up a separate occasion just to take her out for a meal. That way she is just expanding her day another hour or so.
After the meal you go to her club and spend your usual time with her. If you want to make a big impression, try to spend even more money on her when you get dances from her. When I do dinner with dancers that way, I call it "dinner and dancing." Just using that term for it usually makes a big hit with dancers. If that goes well, you can try something more elaborate on a future occasion.

@ motor: I often bring up the question with other dancers as to what percentage of dancers do they think are single mothers. The average guess seems to be around 80%. I'd certainly believe that from the dancers I've met.

As far as movies go, I'm with GoVikings and Steve_ny. "Striptease" was very good. Now if you will allow me to shift the subject to strip clubs in TV shows, "Married With Children" had some really funny ones! Just one example (1:39):

I've heard some pretty bad names in my 20 years of club-going. I can't state a specific worst name, though. Generally, I prefer stage names that are genuine girls' names. I don't like stage names that are words, such as: sexy, baby, babydoll, desire, precious, allure, ecstasy, fantasy, luscious, etc. Stereotypical stripper names, such as Belle and Starr, are marginally acceptable. However, I just met a dancer who might fit the the category my worst name discovered to date: "Buttercup."

Rather than evaluate a dancer body part by body part, I'm with Papi_Chulo, except I'd put more emphasis on the boobs. A pretty face is not as important to me. (My face is usually buried in the cleavage, so I can't see a dancer's face anyway.) The overall figure, along with hair care, and choice of costume is what I use to evaluate a prospect.

I've known three dancers that had other jobs where I was a customer of theirs on both jobs: Two were waitresses and I had a couple of meals in their respective restaurants. This was while they were still dancing. The third, quit dancing and later started a community college course in dental assisting. They needed patients, so the students were asked to invite anyone they knew to make an appointment for a check-up. So I did. My former fave didn't look nearly as sexy in dental scrubs as she did in a hot costume on stage dancing, but she assisted a dentist in my exam. We later joked about how different that job was from the first one I knew her in!

If your fave needs to get a babysitter for her to go to work, don't expect her to work on Valentine's Day. A dancer I knew very well, who is a mother of two, once explained to me that the two most difficult nights of the year to get a baby sitter are New Year's Eve and Valentine's day. All the cute, young girls who work as your fave's baby sitters want to be out having a romantic evening with their boyfriends those two nights.

Here in Seattle a local news story a while back mentioned that Seattle ranks very low among the major U.S. cities in the number of churches and church-goers. Despite that, the strip clubs here still suck!

I have "loaned" money to approximately six different dancers. Not one of them ever paid back one dollar. None of them even offered to "work it off." I would always tell them that I won't buy dances from them until the loan is repaid. Apparently that wasn't enough to motivate them. Five of those six lost more than ten times the amount of money I "loaned them" in lost income from me. Only one of those six am I still on speaking terms with. Advice: DO NOT LOAN MONEY TO DANCERS !!!

I've probably experienced all thirty at one time or another over my club-going career. There is certainly a wide range of emotions associated with the experience of going to strip clubs.
#23 appears to be a typo. Is it supposed to be "looney" or "lonely." (Both should apply!)

@ Rod8432: The Tropical Lei is well worth visiting, but it's in Upland, about 23 miles from the Spearmint Rhino in Industry. Other clubs in COI are with in two miles further west of the Rhino.
