If a stripper calls u for moneyPapi and I have discussed our mutual experiences at length on this subject. We've both been down that road. His advice is excellent. I suggest you follow it. Basically, if you give a dancer money. Get something in return.
My first encounter with a dancer needing money was when she called asking for about $500. to pay back electic bills, before her service got terminated. I stupidly gave her the money. (We were in different cities, 1,200 mi. apart, so I couldn't just ask for something in return.) Three months later she called me with a similar emergency. Then I quickly realized this is becoming a pattern, so I LOANED her $300. for whatever her problem was. The "loan" did slow down the requests for money from this girl, so that helped some. However, I stupidly went on to loan about five other dancers money. I'm out $5,000., total, in bad loans to dancers. No dancer that has ever borrowed money from me, has paid back one dollar of it. Never again, will I "loan" money to a dancer.
After I started seeing dancers OTC, I know that several of them asked for OTC's with me because they needed money. I was okay with that. I was getting a service from them at price I was willing to pay. That stopped the requests for actual "loans."

Seeing someone who you want to avoid's car in the parking lotI'm a keen observer of cars in strip club parking lots. I've become familiar with certain dancers' cars and where they park them in the clubs I frequent. As for my faves, that's no problem. Where I make use of this knowledge is if:
1. I see one or two cars too many of dancers I don't like, I might not even go into that club.
2. At one of my local clubs, I know the vehicle a particular manager drives. She's very strict about enforcing the rules (no cameras in that club). She's patrols the VIP area frequently. So, if I see her car in the lot, I know it'll be a low-mileage experience in that club while she's there. I'll probably pass on going in at that club, and go to another, nearby.

how to spot a fellow tuscler in the club???I'm the one with a girl's big natural boobs stuck in his face yelling, "Help, help. I'm stuck, and I can't get out. (And I don't want to get out, either. Heh, heh.")

Best clubs to work for in the SUV@ ScottyW: San Francisco is 400 miles from where Lillie is talking about. From your reviews it appears that you're from Pennsylvania or Ohio. You need to bone up on California geography.

Best clubs to work for in the SUVLillie, When dancers ask me questions about clubs and their business volumes, I always advise them to talk to other dancers, not customers. Others above, have steered you to other websites for a good reason. The TUSCL membership is mostly customers, and mostly male.
Having lived in L.A. for many years, I always thought of the clubs in Hollywood as tourist trap clubs. I never heard of dancers doing well at those clubs. (Difficult to develop regulars there.) East San Fernando Valley clubs are better known and more often discussed on line than those in the west valley. Besides www.zbone.com, already mentioned above, look at www.bonedin.com It's a fairly new website that covers L.A. clubs.

Bringing a stripper home to meet the wifeAs much as I enjoy Gawker's contributions to TUSCL, I as I write this, it says his post was made nine hours ago. That would make it about 11:00 p.m., PDT, still within an hour to go on April Fool's Day. At any rate, it makes for a good story!

It's Nice When Family Sticks TogetherLike DandyDan, I have a similar story: I have a long-time fave, here in Seattle. She's now 42, and has been dancing since age 18. In her early years, she her two other sisters AND their mom all danced together at the same club. The sisters didn't stay in the industry long. The mom retired at age 48. My fave figures if her mom danced until 48, she can too. She still has at least one regular from her early years. However, my fave is rapidly gaining weight, and as her regulars die off, I speculate that she'll have difficulty cultivating new regulars.
The mom and fave, and maybe the other sisters, were all interviewed on a local TV talk show many years ago.

The Risks We TakeIt is unnerving when unifomred cops come into a strip club while you're there, even if it isn't for a raid. I've only had two instances:
1. At the now-closed Honey's, in Everett, WA I was in the club one time when three cops came in, looking for a particular suspect they had reason to believe might be in the club at the time. He wasn't, but it interrupted business for a good thirty minutes. Dancers stopped giving dances during that time.
At the now closed Sahara Theatre in Industry, CA (since reopened as Deja Vu), I stopped counting after twenty cops came in. That was just to take away a dancer who had flipped out on drugs. She was conscious and could have cooperated, but didn't and wouldn't even get dressed, so the cops carried her out of the club, nude, into a waiting abulance. Most customers walked out during that scene.
3. I've also been in clubs when I was told undercover cops were in. Not easy to take.

Five Star Shill Review? The article I posted specifically says, "On March 19, the victim, an exotic dancer at Deja Vu on First Avenue." I took that to mean the Deja Vu on First and Pike, not Dreamgirls (also Deja Vu-owned), and also on First Avenue several blocks further south.

Five Star Shill Review?I read the same review. It is unusual for a first review, but maybe he/she has read other reviews before posting this one. I was convinced that it was legitimate and I PMd the author to ask additional details. That was ten hours ago. So far, the author hasn't read my PM. I'll see what the reply is. One usual factor: That club has a list of its dancers' names posted on its website. I didn't see a dancer named Elaina, but there was a similar sounding name.

How much to stage tip.I'm with the $2. crowd. I think the expectation is $1. per song while you're sitting at the stage, but as deogol indicated, $1 was appropriate a long time ago. But, I usually just tip $2. for the time the dancer's on stage. First, I only sit at the stage when I see a dancer that I like. Usually that's limited to the dancer(s) I came in to see. Once she's off the stage, then I go back to my regular seat. If it's a new dancer that I like, my intention is to signal to her that I'd be interested in dances. Usually they'll come over to my table afterward.

ilbbaicnlKeep it in my pants when I do OTC. If I were a stripper it would stand for I like big bucks and I can not lie.
Hungry StrippersI've bought food for dancers several times before. None of the Puget Sound Region clubs serve food, and only a couple of the L.A. clubs that I went to did. So, I go out, usually to a nearby fast food joint to get them a chicken sandwhich (strippers' preferred fast food fare). I don't mind. It's only a few dollars and I welcome the break from the club. That's something I might very well do anyway. I have one fave who, in exchange for a chicken sandwhich, will usually give me a free dance for the effort.

Anyone know any girls on My Free CamsI know one former stripper now on another web cam site: Streamate. See:

Evem her "warm-up" time before she does a show is very entertaining. She previously worked at a few Puget Sound Region strip clubs (2008-2011) before turning to web cam work in late 2011.
There's a 5:53 clip of her doing a lesbian show with another web cam actress friend of hers at:

A Question about Strip Club ManagementYour first three paragraphs center on one facet of strip club hiring practices: As others have stated, no matter how much or how little info. a club may give an inquiring dancer by phone, the clubs still want to see the dancer in person before hiring her. But, that also seems to fly in the face of the phenomenon that so many clubs seem to hire any dancer that walks in the door to apply for a job. (But, they still want to see her in person, first, just to ensure that she's really human.)
Do not assume that strip clubs are legitimate businesses.
As to strippers living a long distance from their job--yes, that's common. They don't want to risk the potential embarrassment of being seen working in a strip club, close to home, by people they know. I can recall a couple of stories about dancers who did have that happen to them. Long commutes to work are common for dancers. (But, not here in Seattle, from many that I've known.)

how the dancers go home after work@ lopaw and rickdugan: I've had the a similar misfortune. I've been in a club twice, when the practice, right at closing, was to turn on all the lights. This was to kill the mood and motivate the crowd to exit quickly. It works. My thought was that the dancers look ten years older in bright light!

choose who you get dances from carefully.@ Tiredtraveler: I certainly share your thoughts in your last two sentences. I have found several examples over the years of less attractive dancers being friends of the hot dancers. And, I've been able to use it to my advantage.

For veterans: what would you do when hanging out with strippers? The dates I've had with dancers certainly include lunch or dinner. Other's are just common entertainment venues: Movies, baseball games, Las Vegas shows, a county fair once. I've also taken several dancers to see other strip clubs that they were curious about, but just couldn't seem to get their on their own. Nothing really unusual.
