I *did* fall for my ATF last year -- hard! It cost me some money and some heartbreak, but it left me wiser about the ways of strippers. Now I would classify myself as cautious but not cynical about strippers.

Now that I'm a veteran of lots of extras in VIP rooms, I would say that they're *not* worth it if you're not looking for extras. However, several years ago I used to do occasional VIPs in low-touch clubs just to be able to touch the dancer all over. True story: One of the five most beautiful dancers I've seen in my 20+ years of clubbing, a stunning blonde with large natural breasts, worked at a low-touch club in Indiana. It frustrated me that I couldn't touch her tits during $20 lap dances, so one time I paid $150 for a 30-minute VIP, during which I touched her *everywhere* except the kitty. When we were done, she thanked me for being such a gentleman. I exclaimed "Girl, I just touched you all over!" and she replied "Yes, but you didn't try to finger-fuck me!" *This* is the world strippers live in, where they can't even do a VIP room without fighting to keep unwelcome fingers and other body parts out of their orifices.

I've been only to the Inkster clubs (Flight Club, Bogart's, Henry's) plus La Chambre, the Criket (sic), and Henry's South. @felipe, based on my own limited experience in Detroit-area clubs, my recommendation is the Criket: real women, ethnic diversity, reasonable prices, and very high mileage. It's the only club that I *always* visit on my annual pilgrimage to the D.

@DirkDiggler: Excellent write-up on nude clubs with alcohol in N Illinois and Wisconsin. I had no idea there were that many! @JS69: I do believe flagooner was being sarcastic in his mention of Orlando and SLC. That's what my "ha!" referred to.

Ordinarily I do, but occasionally at extras clubs, where the pants are going to come off anyway, I don't bother.

Club 390 in Chicago Heights, Club O in Harvey, and Hustler Club and Hollywood Show Club (which has a new name) in Washington Park serve alcohol and allow onstage nudity, but it seems that most of the girls, at least on day shift, give flashes of pussy only. The Skybox in Harvey served alcohol and *all* of the dancers got nekkid on stage, but I don't know what's it like now as the more urban "The Boxxx".

I've had lots of good meals at my 3 favorite clubs in Indianapolis: Club Rio (which has a $5 special every day!), Dancers, and Brad's Brass Flamingo. Other than those three, I've never eaten food in a strip club.

My BYOB experience is quite limited, and I don't drink liquor, so I either bring a big can of beer with me or order soft drinks ITC: * XTC Cabaret in Austin: I buy a fo'ty (actually a 24-oz can of Mexican beer) at a convenience store on the way to the club and nurse it there for a couple of hours * Fluffers in Sparland, IL: same concept * Hot Bodies in Austin: I ask the waitress to bring me a soft drink from the fridge * Palace in the Pines in Lowellville, OH: I get my own soft drink from the fridge :)

I *love* the ignore button! Increasingly I ignore people who harp on the same few subjects over and over and over or the ones who are hateful in general or to me in particular. As a rule of thumb, if someone calls me @MrDouche more than once, he gets ignored, because nothing else he says about me (or anything else, IMO) is going to be worth reading :) Hmm . . . if you *want* me to ignore you, I guess you know what to do now!
