I am looking for a good club to visit one night. Since I don't have a car, I don't want to have to take cabs all the time to check out more than one place. Nor do I want to pay a fortune in Uber. I also don't want to go to a club downtown because, well, I would prefer not to run into people I know from the meeting.
I get that "good club" is vague. For me, a good club is a place that is not too expensive; where the dancers look like real people (somewhat older and somewhat thicker are okay, and maybe a positive). I like women of different ethnicities and races (I am white, if it matters.) I like friendly dancers.
What suggestions do people have?

Flight club and Penthouse are the most expensive and both you will need a fairly long drive to from downtown (most clubs are on Detroits city limits, and Detroits city limit area is quite large.)
Depending on what day you are going to be in town, Friday and Saturday nights can be very busy at many of the clubs. Week nights not so much, but can still get busy. Day shifts during the week are more casual and not as busy.
For mid price clubs, people have been giving good reviews to cricket in Dearborn and Landing strip in Romulus. I personally like Players and to some extent Coliseum (both are close by each other) but you will need to take an Uber or cab to any of those.
That is just my $.02 for what it is worth. The other locals who have already posted on this thread do have better insight as they've lived in the area longer than I have, and they've been to all the clubs in the area, where as I've only been to a handful of clubs so far.
I've been only to the Inkster clubs (Flight Club, Bogart's, Henry's) plus La Chambre, the Criket (sic), and Henry's South. @felipe, based on my own limited experience in Detroit-area clubs, my recommendation is the Criket: real women, ethnic diversity, reasonable prices, and very high mileage. It's the only club that I *always* visit on my annual pilgrimage to the D.
