I read the original 18th century 'Fanny Hill' and learned that 'grummet' was used to describe the female parts by the servant classes. I have liked that word ever since - not to be confused with 'grommet'.

In Canada, purchasing sex from a dancer is no different than purchasing legal advice, medical expertise, interior design ideas, etc. In my country it is no more immoral to purchase sex from a stripper than it is to purchase a legal opinion from a female lawyer. Nor is it immoral to sell those services.
IMO, ranukam, you are riddled with moral confusions and strippers are the ones with moral surety on their side.

Personally, I prefer SCs. I have no experience with brothels. I have much experience with escorts and massage parlours, particularly in Western Canada. Some very fine ladies are currently working in Edmonton's classier parlours and, believe it or not, prices seem to be declining. Competition must be fierce. Calgary is pricier.
Best bang for your buck in Canada is a massage parlour, no contest.

The great advantage of being a one-and-done road warrior like me. I am fresh meat for the strippers wherever I go. If I do make a return visit to a hot club, it is months later and I will be fresh meat all over again.
My lame Alberta SCs are a different story altogether. Being blackballed from one of them would be a badge of glory rather than one of ignominy.

I was snowed in last weekend on the farm and attempted to watch this movie. I watched more than you did, shadowcat; but you are exactly right. This movie is definitely FUBAR!!
To anybody else: don't waste your time on this piece of shit. Just goes to show - we Canadians can make just as crappy movies as you Americans do.

Let me tell you guys a dirty little secret about current oil prices. Everybody sees the price of oil being touted in the news as $106/bbl. That is NOT the price that independent producers like me receive for our oil, especially guys like me in Alberta or the Backen guys in North Dakota and Montana or any other producer in the middle of the continent. Spot price for us is now in the $70 range. The sole reason for this is lack of pipeline capacity to move the crude to the gulf or east coast refineries. That gigantic pool of crude at Cushing, Oklahoma is depressing North American prices to a criminal level. Killing the Keystone pipeline project was a seriously bone-headed move by you Americans screaming about high gas prices.
The recent fire at the big Cherry Point refinery in Washington is also not good news for gas prices for consumers. US refineries are mostly pricing their crude feedstock off Brent prices ($121/bbl) already. So, restricted refinery capacity? Rising crude prices caused by geopolitical uncertainties? Idiot political decisions in DC? Brace yourselves for shocking gas prices very soon.
I have excellent hedges in place for about 75% of my current production until Dec/2013. And, I am drilling exploration wells as fast as I can drive my drilling contractor. Right now, motorhead, my motto is most definitely:
DRILL, BABY, DRILL.
Would someone now please do something about natural gas prices?

I just had my second test after my bareback 'slippage' with my dancer in Hawaii at New Year's. My doc rips me pretty fiercely every time I see her about this (I was honest with the doc about the whole deal). Doc Joanne tells me to get tested monthly until June.
Oh joy! Four more lectures from my doc - but then, I deserve the grief for being such an idiot in Hawaii.

My preference is definitely the down rent clubs. In my favourite hunting grounds around Toronto Int'l Airport there is a wide variety of choice of both upscale and decidedly down scale joints. Here is a brief story to explain the reason for my preferences.
The one and only time I have ever done the Champagne Room thing the final cost for doing the deed with a real hot buxom blonde was $800 on top of cover charge and all that other crap. When we were done the girl says to me:
"You're a nice guy. Here is my phone number. Next time you come to Toronto, phone me and I'll come to your hotel for $300.'
I banged my head against the wall and wanted to slit my wrists. Not about the money I had just spent, but at how much more comfortable things would have been in a hotel room for only $300.
In the well known grimy clubs around Toronto Int'l the full meal deal rarely costs me more than $150 now and those clubs have absolutely no nickel and dime charges. And, the girls are just as hot as in their upscale neighbours.
That is why I prefer the dives.

shadow, your link led to others that followed the band associated with the star/writer of this movie. At one time or another in my life I have been in every single one of those bars. This band tours the real down and dirty spots in western Canada! I am kind of surprised that I have never heard of Deaner and The Heatseekers; a generational thing, I am sure.
I won't be seeking out this movie any time soon.
