I agree that the industry is in decline... but I would argue that there are larger economic forces at work that it being local LE.
I have been to Tampa and would agree that it is a 'good' club town.
I have not been to Miami/WPB, but the reviews are generally favorable, and would tend to agree that it is a good area as well.
Also never been, but Detroit seems well reviewed.
I tend to disagree with Las Vegas. Lot of clubs, but too touristy / ROB IMO.

Detroit strip clubs
No, clubs just stared charging the dancers more to work when the money dried up in the great recession. The club owners still get theirs , so to speak, regardless of what it does to the dancers or customers.

@Papi: yeh lots of tech $$$, but also left coast woke progressives. Will be interesting to see what Portland OR is like when I get to travel there. What I've been seeing on here shocks me compared to what I remember from 2005.

Since 1963 ...
The club rating values are HIGHLY influenced by the local competition. IMO it is impossible to compare / rank clubs from different metro areas.
My favorite historical example is Savannah's in Harrisburg PA. At one point in time it made it onto several of the 'Top' list on this site. Granted it is the best option in Harrisburg by a considerable margin, but it's no where near the best of PA and doesn't hold a candle to anything in a city with 'real' monger options.
FWIW, just number or review per unit time seems to be the most reliable metric IMO... or maybe number of review per time per capita.

IMHO, the SC industry never really recovered after the 'great recession.' The money just isn't there ITC anymore to draw in a lot of top shelf talent. Clubs still want to make their house fees and tip outs, so the clubs fill their roster with lesser talent.

I 2nd what RL27 said. In the clubs I am most familiar with, the club takes 1/2 of ITC options (LDs, VIP). So that 340 is at best 170 to the dancer.

yes, as long as the reviews are for different clubs. You do not get credit for multiple reviews of the same club within 30 days.

I agree with king. Step 1 is a lifestyle change: spending less than in the past. If she can't handle that you are SOL.

Interesting thread. IME, having a rep in a club usually makes life better. However, seems a little strange that first OTC would dilute her revenue stream by tipping off others how to get your business.

IMO, sometimes desertscrb is a little over zealous... but generally (~80%, maybe more) he seems accurate

imo, quality has been down (in PA and elsewhere) for some time. After the great recession, disposable income never recovered, and neither did a lot of clubs.

I use # of trusts, # of reviews, and # of places as a measure of how much weight to give a user's review. I also use my own list of reviews and articles as a shortcut to lookup what I've written previously.

Jordan played hard defense and was consistently one of the best defenders in the league often defending the best player of opposing team. LBJ not so much. Jordan has higher points per game average and more rings. Jordan gave maximum effort every game, LBJ gives the minimum required of him. End of discussion.

Guess I should clarify my earlier post... if there is no incentive to write review, people will stop writing review and the well dries up.
