    The Family Business
I have a similar story. It happened about 10 years ago. I was out of town on a work trip and visited an unfamiliar club in the early evening. I had been sitting with an older dancer, probably in her early 40's. Although Sondra was my type, I was a bit wary of her advanced (for a stripper) age. She looked pretty good though, probably due to the regular exercise provided by 20 years of dancing. She must have been something back in her baby stripper days. We went back for some dances. They were pretty good so I was glad that I took a chance. As we headed back to the table, she asked if I ever had a mother-daughter dance. I said that I had not and she replied that stripping was a family business for her. My mind started racing, thing about how hot her daughter likely was. She then added that Jessica would arrive at the club soon and we could all go back and get the combo crossed off my bucket list. Now my imagination kicked into overdrive. We had a couple more dances and drinks and waited for the next shift of dancers to arrive. It was a great build up and I could barely wait. We headed back out to the table right before shift change and I kept eyeing the dancers' dressing room door in anticipation. Finally, the door opened and Sondra called out "Hey, Mom! C'mon over!"

Who LIKES to be the passenger in a car ?
I definitely do not like it. At least anymore. I used to have no problems being a front seat passenger. Then I taught my kids to drive. After that, it became nerve-wracking to be a passenger. Kids, wife, friends as the driver - same effect. Blood pressure going up just thinking about it.

    Your current porn favorite?
Good point, Motorhead. The days of the "pornstar" are long gone. Jenna Jameson may have been the last one. Now, a new girl appears, grows in popularity, and is replaced by next year's model(s). And those who try to stay near the top often lose those fresh faces quickly.

How did you hear about TUSCL?
It was a long time ago - 1995, maybe 1994? Definitely before Google... Or even AltaVista... I think it might have been via a link on an early blog (such as Justin's Links from the Underground). Or maybe even a mention in a print media article. Time flies...

Low expectations met on Saturday afternoon
Agree - that is the worst. Especially when you don't get many opportunities to get out and about much. However, I've been more bored in the past (daytime Baltimore Hustler Club a few years ago) and the Millstream can be a pleasant/fun spot. So, I will return. Hopefully, they can keep the stage full. Even if the girl is not to my liking, I will still be somewhat entertained. Of course, I hope that much more than half are attractive!

No, being old and white doesn’t make you the customer almighty automatically
A general comment - I suggest that everyone try to have fun on their strip club visits. Sometimes they can be boring and uneventful with little dancer contact. Waiting for dancer attention can be disappointing, but getting butt hurt over it is just making your visit worse.

Favorite from past shows up in awkward place
I had a (moderately) similar situation about 10 years ago. The dancer was not a favorite, but someone I would tip and have minor, but friendly chats with at the bar. I was volunteering at an after-school program - and so was she. When we first recognized each other, she seemed embarrassed and asked if I was a teacher. I'm not sure if she thought teachers should stay out of clubs, or was concerned that I would gossip to her kids' teachers about her line of work. I told her I was a parent volunteer just like her. The program went on for several months so our paths would continue to cross, both in and out of the club. As you might expect, we had more to chat about during club visits, but it was not the typical strip club small talk. Kids, the program, etc... The moral of the story - Strippers and strip club patrons are people too.

    Islands in the Stream
The Millstream is a nice spot to take a break. Relaxed atmosphere, good food. I've been going off and on for 15+ years. More like a Hooters with strippers (and better food) than the standard strip club.

Is anybody happy with their local strip clubs?
I certainly understand the inflation aspect, and not just the current spike. Dances were commonly $20 each 20 years ago for me. Dancers deserve a raise too. However, Baltimore was a lot more fun back then. I mark the start of the decline about a decade ago.

This shit right here? Is why the young war with the old. This is why we complain
Almost everybody thinks that their generation had/has it worse than the others. That's just human nature. I'm on the Boomer/GenX cusp. I recall the high inflation of the 70's and the very high (Rust Belt) unemployment of the early 80's - but I was a kid and my parents navigated successfully through it. We did not live a fancy life, but it was a good one. When I entered the workforce in the late 80's, employers were cutting benefits and removing pensions. And 401k plans of the time often had waiting periods, longer vesting periods, and poor company match options. So there are times that I am jealous of the older generation who had good pensions. And other times I wish I had the 401k options then that are available now. That being said, I had retirement money in the market that rode a big ramp upwards (with some big dips of course) since the early 90's. Long story short - Life ain't fair, but you got to look for the good and not just the bad. Whatever generation you belong to.

I'm fine. I'm disgusted with my life and myself, but I'm not unhappy about that.
Can be fun but there are less gems on the roster and the energy has dropped
Yes, another great review from best reviewer in Bmore. Info I can use on my next visit.

Millstream club ad of the day
Thanks, Jimmy. I read your past reviews describing the private dance options. Very thorough. Those reviews also reminded me of some of the top girls from a few years back. Brooke, in particular. I wonder if she is still dancing in the Bmore area?

I can add a bit more about the room options. My memory for the price and time details is weak, but they do have a lot of options. Entry level is $100 for 10 minutes, and I believe it's in an open booth. The top level is "the skybox" which is a one-way mirrored room that overlooks the club. Mid-tier rooms have various levels of curtains/doors/couches/mini-stages. Needless to say, it can get pretty expensive. Hopefully, others can weigh in with price and mileage details.

How often do you use algebra?
I actually used a bit of algebra last week at work, while discussing something with a coworker. I do have a technical job, so I am somewhat surprised that I don't use it more. On the other hand, I probably use the idea or concepts of algebra often. Much more than the "solve for x" math class stuff

The End of “The Block” in Baltimore?
I have only made a handful of visits to the Block (not counting the Hustler Club) and it wasn't for me. And Hustler hasn't been much fun for years either. That being said, it doesn't seem right to impose a curfew. I did not know of Kim Klacik's stripper past, but it isn't surprising!

Mariah-colored glasses. Ha! I had not seen Mariah at the club since before covid. Sounds like she's back. Is she? Definitely one of the most attractive dancers I've seen in Bmore.

    Old Restaurants
I recall Luby's having good food. Much better than typical cafeterias. And better than many diner-type restaurants. Of course, it was over 20 years ago and quality and service were better in the good old days. Note: I never tried the liver. Not a fan in general.
