I found a hidden gem

I decided to take a mini vacation and signed up for some weekend classes at a museum in Baltimore, a four hour drive away. I figured since I didn't know Baltimore that well I would go early and check out the nightlife scene. I did my due diligence by checking out tuscl. Twenty to thirty years ago I was passing through Baltimore and discovered two places near where I would be taking the classes, in the heavily industrialized area on the east side of the harbor. I remembered those bars weren't that great, they were there for the truck drivers and seamen and longshoremen handling cargo. It was out of the way for anybody else to get to. And anyway, according to tuscl, they are defunct although somebody had just bought one of them and was trying to reopen it. So I researched some other possibilities on tuscl. Downtown was always famous for The Block, a street with lots of strip joints so this seemed to be the time to see what that was all about. But according to the reviews and the club web pages it seemed like it was a region of high-priced over-hyped clip joints where you wouldn't really have fun and parking would be a big problem, especially when you were walking down streets with pockets full of $20 bills.

So I researched a few other places out in the outskirts and 3 sounded like they would be good possibilities but they would be far away from where I would be staying at the museum. But one tuscl reviewer was smitten about a dancer he really liked, and she worked in 2 of the clubs I thought of trying. And she would be at the Millstream Inn the night I had set aside to go play before my classes, so I chose that place to try.
