1979-Graduated from high school, quickly lost track of my best friend from junior high & high school.

In the Marines, I learned to approach many situations without caution. Later, as a cop, I was on gang task force and ERT (similar to SWAT). Many times, I did things that just amazed others-climbing on top of a 250 foot radio tower to talk down a jumper, while on a water tower on surveillance op-exchanged gunfire with a rogue cop, fearlessly taking on three strong arm robbers (backup was on the way, bu I managed to take down and pin all three for about thirty seconds, until backup helped cuff them.
I'd walk into roll call the day after some big feat and there'd be this subdued chant-Duuuuudester !!

Galveston took a direct hit from Hurricane Ike. It's the first time since the 1900 hurricane that the entire island was under water-and that was with the seawall (didn't exist in 1900).
Many people who lived on the island were the descendants of the prostutes and gamblers that populated the island (that was shut down in 1960). Those descendants, who were poor, can't afford to fix their houses.
In the upcoming legislative cycle (Jan-May 2011) Galveston intends to lobby the legislature to allow casinos. Galveston has lobbied before-to no avail (those pesky baptists).
Even on the odd chance that casinos are allowed, that would mean a crackdown of SC's by LE because public officials will fear a backslide into debauchery.
Galveston desperately needs a casino or two. Hundreds and hundreds of houses are empty and the city has lost serious tax revenue. The county has lost revenue too.

The article is focused on England, but relevant to the US. In some parts of the US, that sex for pay is going on in the clubs is ignored with a wink of the eye (just as American bordellos were 50 years ago). Right now, in Houston, Vice seems to be focused on the craigslist girls, backpage girls, and underage girls being prostituted out of cheap motels. I hope it stays that way.

Save your money and come to Houston. You gotta pay for a bottle (60-200) in some Houston clubs, but you'll get laid.

There's a lot of hub bub about the script for Inferno. With that said:
There's some website out there that supposedly has the scripts of movies being filmed. However, reality rarelymatches the script. Because of this website there was all kinds of anticipation about Anne Hathaway in Havoc. According to the script, she was supposed to walk full frontal through a house, get gangbanged by five guys, and bury a vibrator in her sweet spot. Didn't happen.
The script for Inferno has all kinds of stuff. If the script is closely followed, it'll be too rough for even an NC-17 rating. The script will be watered down. How much ? We'll just have to wait and see.

Usually, I'd be in agreement with sharkhunter's thought process, but this coachwanted something relly twisted, and he did work with children.
I hope that his case is pled down to a petty misdemeanor (a fine), but at the same time-I want him far removed from working with children.

The sad thing, is that because of poor follow up by the state, those girls will soon be turning tricks again, somewhere, somehow. The girls wouldn't have been in that position in the first had the parents not been disconnected. Remember the 14 year old in Detroit who was caught twice in the clubs ?
No doubt that the asshole pimp will be locked up for a long time, and will probably be fucked over-if not killed in prison, but the girls will be victimized twice. The girls deserve a lot better.

I usually tell them I'm a writer. A lot of strippers actually dream about that, so it holds off the "wanna dance" question for at least five minutes.
I've found that telling them about my other hobby (restoring antique fire trucks) gets a blank stare. I only bring it up if the dancer mentions she has brothers (guys work on cars).

Pre Ricks (Beltway 8 Houston) the location was called The Century Club. I came in late one night (12:30) and noticed that a stripper (Diane-she danced under her real name) gave the manager a nod as I came in. The manager then locked the door. Diane led me to a booth.
During her lapper, I looked over and noticed that people in the club were having sex. Diane saw what I saw. Even though the place was topless (it had started out nude), Diane slipped her panties off. Laying on the table, she let me eat her out (no to penetration, even with a condom).

Have to disagree. Seven years of abuse at the hands of my mother's boyfriend + eleven years of military (most of it spec ops) + five years of gang task force = one really angry violent guy. Seven years of therapy and couseling (most of it church funded) made me able to talk to people without trying to goad them into something violent.
I don't think a stripper would've listened to my reasons for being violent, finding the causes, and dealing with it.
Like I said, a stripper is a quick fix, but eventually the dose wears off.
