I also met a dancer who claimed she was studying for a Masters in Psychology. Seems to be popular among strippers. I'm sure the job gives them some interesting research ideas, and I would imagine the psych classes help them with the "sales" aspect of their jobs.

A local club operates lets the dancers set their rates. The prices don't really vary much between dancers, but on slower nights, many girls offer discounts for multiple dances. I've experienced negotiations that start at $40 for one dance and end up at 10 for $100.

I was surprised to hear this making the news. Frat boys were doing this when I was in college 20+ years ago.

2 clubs advertise regularly on 2 FM rock stations usually during drive time. One of the station's DJ's often MC events at one of the clubs. Two other clubs have less frequent radio ads.

One of my peculiarities is that I enjoy shift change-overs at clubs. It is interesting to see the girls come in wearing street clothes, looking ordinary, only to emerge a few minutes later from the dressing room as a seductress.

Dancer slipped on the poll and knocked herself out. She recovered after a few minutes, but it was a bit scary.

A month or so ago my my schedule allowed me to check out some clubs around closing time. The clubs will stay open as long as customers are paying, after "last call" most customers call it a night. The dancers start leaving soon after. Those that stay are in a hurry to sell dances. Eventhough I usually don't drink at clubs, I feel that the fun is over once the booze has been locked up.

I was chatting with a face who had recently switched clubs. Among the things the liked about the new club was the better earning potential. She said she could usually earn $500/night. Clearly, she was making less at her old club. I've also heard dancers complaining about slow nights when they don't earn back their house fees, so I guess TMMV.

It can work the opposite way. Sometimes clubs use "black light" bulbs that bring out blotches and flaws that are not visible in normal light.

I know where you're coming from, 10. I am a big fan of DATY. I love the sensations and I love the reaction it gets. Lately I've noticed more and more dancers putting it right in front of my face. I am sorely tempted to accept the invitation, but the risks so graphically displayed in HD's pic make me hold my tongue.
