I was out earlier. Hit both of my regular places. One was extremely dead and almost a waste of time. The other was busy compared with recent but not as busy as I've seen it or in its heyday.
Overall, a chance to stay connected with friends, a couple backup dancers saw me around (in case I get desperate in the future) and I got a buzz on.... I call it an 'even' kind of night.

A couple years ago, I was doing about 5-7 days a week and hitting an average of 3 a day.
Then got a live-in girlfriend and it dropped to once a week (our date night). After she left I was back to about 4-5 nights a week.
With new live-in girlfriend, I'm down to maybe 4-5 times a month. That's her idea, not mine. Luckily, a couple of those tomes, we go at her suggestion. The rest of the time, I am escaping to get some free time.
Basically, it comes down to funds available & girlfriend's approval.

Upscale dives or neighborhood bars with dancers are my drug of choice. Skeevy dives can offer diamonds in the rough but sometimes they are a little too rough even for me.

most clubs in the Akron area still run a jukebox and for the cost of the songs, I've never had a dancer decline playing what I wanted to hear.

Has happened to me twice.
The first time, the other girls made the decision. I had moved and was checking out a new club. I ended up spending most of the night with one girl. A couple days later I went back. About half way through the night, I mentioned to the girl that no other girl had stopped to see me. She said "Yeah, they decided you were mine and won't stop unless it's ok with me." Soon after that we were there together as customers and the problem was solved.
The other time was a royal pain in the ass. My ATF not only 'claimed' me but made threats of physical harm to any girl that danced for me before she did. The worst part was that the girls were so scared, she was gone from that club & out of the business over a year before any of them were brave enough to tell me the truth.

I was at my usual place a couple years ago. My then ATF was dancing for another guy. She danced a couple, talked a couple, danced, etc. At one point she had to play music. Went back to him, danced a couple more, next song comes on and she leaves him and comes to dance 2 for me (both freebies for me) then heads back to him. After he left she came over and spent the rest of the day with me.
A couple years later, I told that story to a friend (she was working that day too) and said "nobody even noticed what she did". My friend replied "Everyone noticed what she did." I guess that sometimes it is good to be known.

There are good two-way $5 lappers to be found in the Akron area. Beware.... there are some pretty bad one-ways running interference though.

I have club fave at each of my regular stops. There's also the personal faves that have floated between clubs & I still see them regularly.
I have given up on ATFs. 2 ago disappeared on everyone. Even her sister was asking me if I had heard from her. Last ATF ended up as a girlfriend then live-in. We broke up but still good friends. Current gf (surprisingly has never been a dancer) isn't hot on me going to the clubs so I've had to cut down on contact with most of the girls.

Never done that many when out of town. Most was 3 but when I'm out of town working I usually have to be up early so I plan ahead.
In & around town is a different story. When I used to 'hop', hitting my 4 regulars was normal. One night in particular, none of them had much going and I ended up hitting 8 total.

Yeah, what mmdv said.... if she would have done that to me, I would have made sure every drink order the rest of the night was from her and offered $0 tip every time.
To the original post.... never been formally tipped but when money was tight and all I planned for & could afford was a couple beers & some chat, it was not uncommon to get a couple freebie dances and anywhere from 1-3 beers show up already paid for.

In this area a number of clubs say that dancers can't leave with a customer. It does look bad in the eyes of LE.
Most dancers that I know either drive or share a ride with dancers that do drive. A smaller group get rides from bf/husband or a 'paid' driver.

'After the first'?..... there have been a few times I've gotten numbers before any dance. But the flip side is there are some that I had dance for me for a couple years and still yet to get her number.
To the OP; every situation is different. Take the numbers when you can. What you do with them (keep, trash, write on bathroom wall, etc) is up to you.

Apparently the only places I hang out are dives. Joke of the places I go to on a regular basis have a DJ. The most expensive jukebox is $1/song. Sometimes the girls will ask for help feeding the monster but most of the time they handle it or customers will feed it so they can near what the want.
If I want to find out a dancer's name I will ask her. I don't need some obnoxious guy yelling her name at me.

The latest I've ever stayed was 230a. Around here that's closing time. Even when visiting out of state clubs, I always had something to do the next morning so never stayed too late.
Length of time is a tougher one. Years ago there were many times that I was at a club from open (4p) to close (230a). So 10.5 hours for single visit. Since then there have been times when I started clubbing at 1130a and didn't quit until close at 230a (15 hours) but that covered 2 clubs and a fast food drive-thru visit as I went from one to the other.

can't fully agree with Alucard about a moderator...... but some form of feedback from 'us' to 'founder' or founder's designee that some topics started are nothing but adverts, tolls, etc. and are really crap and don't belong here would be great.
